1. Ensure you enable ajax caching for post views in Newspaper>Theme Panel>Post Settings> Ajax view count, then clear your cache (site and browser cache).
2. Open the post in question in the post editor. At the top right corner, expand the “Screen Options” and make the sure the box that says “custom fields” is ticked. Then scroll to the bottom and look for the custom fields dropdown. Where it says “post_views_count” you can insert the number of views you want to the post and then update the post.
Hey guys – We, like many others, experienced issue with our Instagram widget properly updating. We attempted to update the td_instagram.php file like I saw mentioned for several other posters, but that still did not resolve our issue. A developer that I had look at it gave me the following feedback:
the $Instagram_data variable doesn’t fetch the correct data
one example is it checks for:
$instagram_data[‘user’][‘edge_followed_by’][‘count’]
and when I made print_r it was: $instagram_data[‘user’][‘followed_by’][‘count’]
and similar for images
Any feedback or help would be greatly appreciated!

Thanks for the help Bogdan – it’s an issue with the HTML formatter for emails that is causing the link to break.
The other issue still needs sorting though, in your next update – the message displayed says to “check Index, spam/junk” – Index should be Inbox!

You could make the modifications and keep using Instagram, before the theme update is released. I could not say when the theme will be updated exactly.

Indeed, the category pages can only be customized in the theme panel, at the moment. pages would offer much more control over the displayed content. There are plans to change this functionality in a coming update, the category pages will receive a different implementation which will offer a considerable amount of flexibility among others.
You could research online for SEO benefits of pages versus archives, maybe more qualified advice can be found regarding the matter. You will have to ultimately decide based on this.

Hi there, I updated the Newspaper theme from version 8.1 to version 8.7. Before the update, everything was working very well but after the update to the latest version of the theme Tag Div Composer stopped working.
To be more clear: when I try to edit a page with Tag Div Composer the back-end never loads and I see a blank page. So, I can’t use the Composer at the moment. What could be wrong?
At first I thought it could be a caching issue, but I cleared the cache and put the site in development mode but that didn’t work. I also tried working in a different browser that I never use, but that didn’t work either.
Can you please help me find out what’s going wrong?

Please notice that none of our theme updates are not intended to spoil your site but their purpose is to bring more improvements to the theme. Please keep in mind that before each update you should make a full backup to your database to avoid losing all of your data and to be safe. Ensure that the update has been correctly made via FTP way according to our documentation from here -> https://forum.tagdiv.com/install-via-ftp/ Also, please notice that you have some additional customizations to your website, for the next update, if you did not save it to your backup, all of these will be overwritten by the theme code.

I could’t say at the moment when a theme update will be released. As soon as all the tasks are completed and also the testing, an update will be available.
The update will contain the fix for Instagram as well, but for the time being you should consider using the solutions mentioned in the topic for Instagram.

The theme was updated via Evanto Market plugin, but I have been using old version 7.7.1 before.

We are aware of the issue you mention. There are some problems with the Facebook featured video at the moment, hopefully it will be fixed in the next theme update.
Currently the Facebook featured video will not produce a thumbnail and also will work only with some videos. Sorry for this inconvenience.

Only if you have a purchased plugin you can activated with the provided license key. The plugin provided in the theme package does not need any activation. Please ignore the activation message.
Yoast SEO recently updated to a new version, and the plugin now indexes the subpages by default and there’s no way to disable it. I asked some SEOs and Googlers, and they recommend the use of rel=next, rel=prev pagination. If we use the rel=next, rel=prev pagination, there will be no problems with indexed subpages. When I checked the source code of the site, I’m not able to find any proper tags.

Please try to make a new theme install via FTP to another sub-domain for testing, update all the plugins, clear all the caches and check the results.

Hi Michelle, We just updated our theme and it is a disaster! We already spent money having the people on envato studio but they want to charge for every single detail. So it’s getting expensive. Be ready to have changes with the theme upgrade. It is not fun. Maybe when you hire the designer have them upgrade the theme before they make it like you want it.
Update: Got the logo how I want it. I was being dense about the size options, BUT the background surrounding my logo is still clickable, which is ewww. Will keep trying for now…

When I click on the tag I see the link name like http://www.sitenamee.ru/-/tagname/. But there is no such a page and browser gets 404 error.
How can I fix this ?
