Hi,

Inserting ads in the loop is not currently supported by the theme. There are no theme options to implement ads like that. This may change in future updates, but I cannot say for sure when it will happen.
The easiest way to try these ads would be through a plugin that has these capabilities.

Thanks

Hello Bernard,

It seems to be a strange issue. Also, I saw that you are not using the latest theme version. Please update your theme to the 3.4 version, clear all the caches and check the results.

Thanks for your understanding!

Hello,

Please do not use any other version of VC except the one provide in the theme package. Do not update directly from the plugin author if you have purchased the plugin. Please uninstall your version of vc and delte the plugin and install it again from the main theme package you download from envato.
Please also keep in mind you should not use both page builders at the same time.

Thanks

Hello,

Please update your theme. You use a very old version of the theme and the new social counter will not work in newspaper 6.
Please use this guide: https://forum.tagdiv.com/how-to-update-the-theme-2/
If for any reason you cannot update your theme, you will not be able to use the social counter anymore as Facebook changed their implementation and the new plugin version is not backwards compatible.

Thank you!

Hi,

All the blocks that you could use in Visual composer are present in the tagDiv composer as well. Other specific Visual composer elements are not present however. The tagDiv composer is not meant to be a copy of Visual composer.
More elements will be added to this front-end editor in future updates exclusively, that is why it is recommended to use tagDiv composer to create your pages
https://forum.tagdiv.com/visual-composer-tagdiv-composer-transition/
https://forum.tagdiv.com/tagdiv-composer-tutorial/
Please specify what exactly you have problems with creating your page, and we will try to help you.

Thanks

So very true. That’s why I asked because I don’t see </footer> here:

WordPress

Appearance | Editor | Under Templates click on Footer | Find the </footer> tag and add your Auto Link Maker code above it | Update File

Thanks

Hello pstgibson,

Hi,

I believe this is a huge misunderstanding. There are two composers that are included in the theme package, and you can use each one to create your website
https://forum.tagdiv.com/whats-included/
You do not need to buy the Visual composer plugin, simply install it and use it
https://forum.tagdiv.com/how-to-update-visual-composer-plugin/
However you should consider using the newly introduced tagDiv composer, future updates will include more features exclusively for this page editor
https://forum.tagdiv.com/tagdiv-composer-tutorial/
You also have the option to install one of the many available demos, so you will not have to start from scratch
https://forum.tagdiv.com/demos_introduction/
https://forum.tagdiv.com/installing-demos/
All the theme available features can be seen here
https://themeforest.net/item/newspaper/5489609
The theme documentation is found here
https://forum.tagdiv.com/newspaper-theme-documentation/
Also for any problems or questions you can always post a topic here on the forum, and we will try our best to help you.
If you feel that the theme is not suited for your purpose, you can request a refund and we will approve it.

Thanks

We also have the same problem. We have updated WordPress and the block elements started to break. Here are the screenshots

https://snag.gy/tDkyoG.jpg
https://snag.gy/wi6JGc.jpg

Also in the backend, visual composer is not displaying block elements properly
https://snag.gy/fFzCGy.jpg

The standards block elements that can be dragged and dropped are also not visible in visual composer https://snag.gy/FpKImh.jpg

Please let us know what to do.

UPDATE:

Disabled Mod_Security on site and now works.

Any idea what Mod_Security rule could have been causing the login redirect loop with composer activated?

Hello!

I want to display the date of the comments as “X hours ago / X days ago” rather than “Month/Day/Year”. In order to do so, I installed the plugin “Time Ago” by MEKS.

However, I get this error message:

date() expects parameter 2 to be integer, string given in /home/alber870/public_html/wp-content/themes/Newspaper/includes/wp_booster/td_module_single_base.php on line 290

Line 290 of the code reads this:

$buffy .= ‘<time class=”entry-date updated td-module-date’ . $visibility_class . ‘” datetime=”‘ . date(DATE_W3C, $td_article_date_unix)

I contacted MEKS regarding this issue and they recommended contacting TagDiv support since they said it has to do with the Newspaper theme and the WordPress standard human_time_diff() function: https://codex.wordpress.org/Function_Reference/human_time_diff.

How can I fix it? Thanks again for your help!

I have eliminated the issue down to strangely enough, the “Newspaper” theme.

I can enable td_composer with standard wp theme, but it seems to have this redirect issue when logging into dashboard or login page only when “Newspaper” theme is installed.

Again, all plugins disabled using default .htaccess and wp-config.php files.
I’m running on a dedicated server with cPanel and CloudLinux installed. All systems go in Newspaper’s System Status in theme panel.

Question… could there have a been a theme update in the past 10 months that would have made a database change? I deleted entire “Newspaper” directory and re-uploaded new folder with version 8.

I have nothing else to eliminate. Or do I? Maybe I can reupload a fresh wordpress install.

What should I do?

Update: I managed the manual activation which worked, but it said 2 times activated, does this mean the one you did + the one I just did?

elmer.harris

Update: I converted multisite install to single site. No dice. Problem with “err_too_many_redirects” continues when tagDiv Composer is activated.

Thing is… I have a lot of plugins (currently disabled) that has never caused this problem. None of tagDiv’s other plugins have ever caused an issue.

So currently, all plugins are disabled. The following files have been reverted to default: wp_config.php and .htaccess

The problem still persists but only when I activate tagDiv Composer by itself.

Next step is to try tagDiv composer with twenty-twenty them.

I’d appreciate any help or suggestions from support or community at large.

thanks

Elmer

Well, if you don’t want to use the Custom Code option in the theme admin panel, the only way to do that is either with a plugin (from wordpress.org repo, or one you make your self, since these survive theme updates), or manually editing the theme files, such as header.php or adding a function hook into the enqueue at bottom of your functions.php file.

I don’t work here, just a suggestion.

Thanks. Can you please answer my questions? I need my homepage to stay as it was for a bit. Switching to your new thing is going to take time. I would assume a theme update would not break the homepage, or line colors or whatever. Please fix the problems. thanks.

Hi Catalin,

I will need to update the WordPress, that must be causing the issue. Thanks for pointing it out.

Bogdan B.

Hello,

the custom plugins will not notify you of any updates. You will have to disable and delete the plugin and simply install it again from the theme panel: https://www.screencast.com/t/hnDmwPVpDkp

Thanks.
