Hello Bogdan,
I don’t use tagDiv composer, I work only with Visual Composer.
I found myself with tagDiv composer activated, after the last update.
The automatic activation of the tagDiv composer led to the cropping of all the images on the website.
I appreciate all your support and the hard work you are doing to give us an awesome theme, but please prevent that theme updates create malfunctions and issues to the websites already created.
Thank you!
Further update from our Server Admin:
Message to theme developer…
Is there a potential issue with the new editor (pagebuilder)? Using the update method requested does not fix the issue. Everything was working as expected, the very moment the new version of the theme was activated, only a white screen was displayed in both front end and back end of WordPress. There were no plugins active whatsoever (they were all deleted), only the new theme and WordPress default TwentySeventeen themes were available. In turn, it appeared some database tables were compromised and required restoration (as reverting to the previous them (still using the same data in tables) did not work.
Using the older Newspaper 7.8.1 theme version, everything is working as required (even with plugins installed and activated).

Sorry,
how to show the store sidebar in woocommerce?
What is the best/clean way?
Ps1: Anyway Woosidebars (https://woocommerce.com/woosidebars/) is supported?
Ps2: I use theme 7.8.1 – the update to 8.0 is mandatory for Woocommerce 3.0.7?
Really thanks.
Andrea
Catalin:
First, thanks for all your help with my previous inquiries over the past year. Much appreciated.
I’m writing with three questions.
1) I updated my site from 7.8.1 to 8. Once I did that, the Single Image Composer in Visual Composer no longer displays the image correctly. It’s my site logo on the home page of rovertreks.com. I’ve tried adjusting sizes, re-installing, and nothing seems to work. Any suggestions?
2) I would like to post my logo as a banner across the top of all pages? How do I do that? Up to this point, I’ve run the logo as a large single image to identify my site name.
3) I cannot get social counter to recognize my Facebook feed to display the number of followers. I’ve followed the troubleshooting procedures you folks recommend: clearing cache, reloading pages, etc. Nothing works. Any suggestions?
As always, I appreciate your help and advice. Thanks, tom
Okay, I understand and disabled the TG Composer – now the website is again okay…but just to say: I didnt use the TG Composer - but the plugin was activated automatically...didnt you check before launching the TD Composer occurring problems with the VC Composer?
A Tipp for the future: Please give to your clients an information in advance if you update the theme and you introduce a new plugin which will be automatically installed and also activated. It`s the second time in my case, that you change something in the theme and after an unknow time I checked that the website is not running well due to a new plugin launched by you.
Your theme is (fortunately) so powerfull, that not every client can check every function if it it`s running really well after an update by you…
With best regards, thanks for suppport

Hello,
The new tagdiv composer is not a copy of visual composer. Not all of the options available in visual composer will be available in our own page builder for the moment. We will add new features to the composer for future updates though. If you still want to use visual composer you can and disable the new builder but you will have to be advised as all the new theme features coming out in future updates will not work in visual composer anymore. We will develop new features and blocks exclusively for our own page builder. Visual composer will remain an optional plugin.
Thank you!
Hi,
You could use the Text with title element for example
– https://www.screencast.com/t/rY1wCbYL
Unfortunately the 2 column layout is not available when creating a page. There is no button element as well at the moment. Please note that more elements and features will be added to the composer in future updates.
Thanks
Hello cartu,
Do you have disabled all the untested plugins? Also, if you are using the Mobile theme and this will not work as properly, notice that issue happens due to WP Super Cache.
Try to refresh your page and check the results. Clear all your caches after this. Also, try to remove all the server caches and if you do not have any access to do this, you should consult the hosting provider and request this task.
Please notice that the mobile theme makes some troubles due to WP Super Cache plugin. Also, the WP Super Cache plugin is compatible with the mobile devices, but if you are using the Mobile Theme, please notice that you should make some changes for a better working. This could be a problem from wp super cache and not the browser. If you use the plugin, please use this method to fix the issue:
Use this link and add the customization as marked here: https://github.com/Automattic/wp-super-cache/pull/185/files
Edit wp-cache-phase1.php and add the green code from the right column as it shows there. Otherwise, if you do not want to make these changes you should simply disable the mobile theme until the WP Super Cache plugin will be updated.
For more information about our mobile theme, please check here -> https://forum.tagdiv.com/the-mobile-theme/
Hope this helps and let us know how it goes!
Thanks for your understanding!
Hello,
The update script was commented out but it can be re-enabled from here: https://www.screencast.com/t/B3Xh4ZtU
Simply remove the comments around the code <!–
Thank you!
Hello Scottseol,
Please keep in mind that our theme has two mobile design -> the mobile responsive and the mobile theme plugin. The mobile responsive will display the same desktop layout but it was optimized for tablets and mobile devices. The second one is Mobile Theme and for more information about this concept, please consult here -> https://forum.tagdiv.com/the-mobile-theme/
If you are using the Mobile theme and this will not work as properly, notice that issue happens due to WP Super Cache.

Hello maxlaxoc,
Unfortunately, this issue was not fixed, sorry! Please keep in mind that we have released our new TD Composer concept (page builder) and we will consider to include this feature into it, in next future updates. Notice that will take a while until we will make this improvement because it is not a simple task doing this and our composer is in a continuous development.
Thanks for your understanding!
Hi
I am working in a migration and generating subtitles manually to insert in postmeta table like this:
post_id
td_post_theme_settings
a:1:{s:11:”td_subtitle”;s:10:”AAAAAAAAAA”;}
Unfortunately this only works when I updated through editor even doing same insertion. What am I missing?
Hi Catalin,
soory, this answer is not satisfying – maybe there was a misunderstanding: I built up the website with the Visual Composer which was added/included in your Newspaper theme. All the rows and columns are correct defined by using the Visual Composer, single images were presented in columns with added capture text – I fear that your now launched TagDiv Composer is concurrency with the Visual Composer and destroying the original VC-layout after the update to the present newspaper version. I want to use the Visual Composer further – so please give me a tipp how to manage it…
See here screenshots of the VC-panel…
With best regards…
Michael
Hi,
Maybe these options will be available in future updates. It remains to be seen when this will happen. The list of suggestions and recommendations is very big, the developers have the hard task of deciding what gets implemented as soon as possible, and what gets delayed. New features will be added to the TagDIv composer in coming updates, but I could not say for sure if anything in this matter will be added to it, or to the theme.
Thanks
Hello fellas,
Just trying to make Newspaper theme 8 abit more useful :). I’m delivering a short post to all the fellas who are still trying to somehow rank their website, hope it helps.
1. The Title on top of page is already H1 Title, so don’t include H1 tags in your post. Instead, use H2 tags, these will appear as Site Links in SERPS. Here are just two of my posts that appeared on Google:
2. Don’t fall for green light for Yoast, it’s a stupid (yes!) for keywords. Use your imagination, google already uses synonyms if you have ever done a google search yourself. Instead of stuffing up your article with keywords, focus on content and mix up keywords variation.
3. Disable Yoast auto stop keyword stripping. It’s a dumb feature again. Say you have a post- How to download video, it will detect to and remove it automatically. Disable it under Yoast>Advanced>Permalinks>Clean up permalinks>Keep Stop Words in Slug.
4. Use Excerpts as a different version of your meta description. Don’t underestimate the power of them, they are not jsut useful to your readers on your site, but also useful to Search Engine Bots. Use them wisely to add secondary meta description.
5. Image- I would recommend you optimize the image size first before uploading it. Name the file with your keywords before uploading to WordPress and add Alt tags, Title and Description to it. Sometimes, images rank better in Google if optimized correctly and they can help you beat up the top ranking posts. Use Wp-Smush also.
6. Use External Links plugin to disable free juice passing from your website to other sites. Use it globally to keep the Search engines to crawling your website only. You don’t want to send cream to other sites, do you?
7. Do constant interlinking, it’s part of super seo!
8. Use cornerstone articles from Yoast wisely. These can actually help you rank better some of your very important posts. I am currently targeting three posts to test it out.
9. If you want to reduce bounce rate, try Inline Related Posts plugin. It’s superb to show related posts inside your post.
10. Disable Jetpack breadcrumbs. I am still testing it though, but they were kind of messing up with Newspaper default breadcrumbs.
11. Remove Websites under comments, a Website tab will just confuse users and will also add to spam. To disable it, simply add code below in your theme functions and also mobile theme functions:
add_filter('comment_form_default_fields', 'website_remove');
function website_remove($fields)
{
if(isset($fields['url']))
unset($fields['url']);
return $fields;
}
I hope it helps, will try to update the guide as much as i can though. Do help me with it if you also want to help others. You can follow me here: https://medicforyou.in
And be sure to check my other guide too on forums: Speedify your Newspaper Blog
Hi,
The tagDiv composer was introduced in the latest theme update, it is our new front-end page editor. More information about this here
– https://forum.tagdiv.com/tagdiv-composer-tutorial/
– https://forum.tagdiv.com/visual-composer-tagdiv-composer-transition/
The images should display fine, usually image problems are caused by plugins. That causes in some cases the lazy load feature to produce this kind of issues. Please try it only with the bundles plugins, to see if the result is still the same. Or maybe deactivate the lazy load in the theme panel – https://www.screencast.com/t/HBjrb3Ln and see if that has any effect.
Thanks
Hello Ankush Das,
Please keep in mind that TD Composer is our page builder who wants to replace the Visual Composer. Our page builder is too optimized with our theme because this is fully integrated into the theme and work as expected. You can use the Visual Composer but notice that on the future, we will improve our builder and all the features will be made exclusively for this TD Composer and all of these will not work for Visual Composer. Yes, we will provide the updates for Visual Composer but we will not implement new features.
Thanks for your understanding!
Hi,
You will have to create your design using the available row layout settings
– https://www.screencast.com/t/lmGKkTsOxP
The option to hide particular content based on device is not present at the moment, with the tagDiv composer. All these may change in future updates for this editor but I could not say for sure when it will happen.
Here you can find a useful tagDiv composer guide
– https://forum.tagdiv.com/tagdiv-composer-tutorial/
Thanks
Hello yachtsailingcharter,
Please keep in mind that composer is our new page builder which replaces the Visual Composer. Notice that you can disable it and continue to use the Visual Composer but we recommend using only our TD Composer because in future updates we will release new features exclusively on our own page builder.
Thanks for your understanding!
Hello Lavesh,
If you cannot see the images, it could be a plugin conflict and not a theme update issue. You probably have a js error in your browser console that breaks the lazyload animation. Try to find which one of your plugins causes the issue and remove/replace it. This is done by disabling all plugins at once, clearing the cache and resetting/purging cdn files if you use it. Then re-activate the plugins one by one testing your site after each one to see which one causes the images to break
Or it could not be a plugin at all and it could be a custom modification you made or your child theme that needs updating as well. The child theme is not updated proof. Try to switch to the main theme to test it out.
I hope this helps.
Thanks.
Hello ncguynet,
You can do it and with Visual Composer but notice that we recommend using our TD Composer because in future updates we will release new features exclusively on our own page builder.
Thanks for your understanding!
