Hello @liboriobutera!

We have already discussed this issue here: https://forum.tagdiv.com/topic/front-page-gone-after-theme-update/
We have 3 options for mobile versions that you can use:

1. Responsive version: A responsive version of your website looks similar to the desktop version. TagDiv Composer is used to edit the page.Click on the mobile viewport: https://www.screencast.com/t/XDQJedlggSB. There, you can see your mobile version and edit or adjust the elements to look better.

2. Mobile pages: https://tagdiv.com/newspaper-10-3-7-update-brings-customizable-and-fast-mobile-pages

3. Mobile theme plugin: The Mobile Theme is a performance-optimized theme included in the main Newspaper theme that only loads on mobile devices. It comes with its own templates and designs for pages, posts, categories, etc., so your current templates from the desktop theme will get converted to the mobile theme layout. Please see https://forum.tagdiv.com/the-mobile-theme/ and https://forum.tagdiv.com/mobile-theme-introduction/ for more information.

A full explanation is here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SpGkOnJeNZY
If you need to use mobile version 1 or 2, then you need to uninstall the Mobile Theme plugin and AMP.

After every modification, you need to reindex your website on Google. It may take some more time.

Thank you !

Hi,
Ok but how can I remove the previous account that was included? I see that code in every page! And the button “remove” is not working, the theme is already updated to the latest versione.
Thank you

Hello @Hannahelw!

No. When you update the theme, you can update the plugins as well.
For every update, we always recommend the following:
-> First of all, please make sure you have a backup.
-> Please deactivate all the non-tested plugins with our theme before updating.
-> Update WordPress, PHP, the theme, and plugins to the latest version: https://forum.tagdiv.com/how-to-update-the-theme-2/.
-> Check all these requirements for the theme: https://forum.tagdiv.com/requirements-for-newspaper/

Thank you!

We are currently using an older version of the tagDiv composer plugin, which is vulnerable to the XSS attack. Is there a way to update the plugin without updating the theme as we use a child theme that breaks when updating the newspaper theme.

Hello, the css on the page is broken, I’ve already uninstalled plugins, changed the version of WordPress, updated the theme and nothing. There are spaces on the website that are blank, icons are misaligned, etc. Can you help me?

Hello Mar!

If you use the latest update of the theme and plugins, you should have access. Please note that only when you hover can you see it.
Every modal has a page that can be found in Dashboard -> Pages. Edit it with the TagDiv Composer.

Thank you!

Hello @mostwonder!

Unfortunately, the feature isn’t available for the mobile theme layout.
You have two other available options there, so you can have this feature on your mobile version:

1. Responsive version: A responsive version of your website looks similar to the desktop version. TagDiv Composer is used to edit the page.Click on the mobile viewport: https://www.screencast.com/t/XDQJedlggSB. There, you can see your mobile version and edit or adjust the elements to look better.

Hello @Fergus !

Please update the theme and plugins to the latest version.
Sometimes, the issue can be from a plugin conflict or a cache issue. That’s why we recommend first deactivating ALL plugins except tagDiv ones; if you are using a cache plugin, deactivate it, clear all cache (also from your browser), and see the results.

Thank you!

Simchris, thank you very much for the tips. Indeed, when I rolled back Publish Press to its previous version, all the author blocks reappeared. Then I re-updated Publish Press to its current version and the author boxes no longer appear. It doesn’t look like there are any complaints on the WordPress forum, however, I’m only on the free version, so maybe the paid version addresses this problem. I submitted the question on the free forum, but have not heard a reply. For security reasons I think I’ll keep the plugin in its most recent version until I hear a response. Thanks again.

For testing you could activate the WordPress debug option in your wpconfig file. You can also ‘roll back’ the PublishPress plugin to prior version to see if that fixes it. I also usually check the feedback on the plugin page on wordpress.org (if applicable), as this will often show hiccups like recent WordPress update that broke cURL; or the Yoast update that broke stuff for some folks. Learning to rollback a plugin is a great skill to have for this kind of shenanigans.
(I don’t work here.)

Hello,

All of our author boxes within our articles have disappeared. This occurred without an update to the Newspaper version, but it appears our Publish Press plugin, which we use for the author boxes, was updated on Wednesday. I’m guessing this is when the problem occurred. For the author boxes within posts we have been using a shortcode block at the beginning of the post with [author_box] as the code and then the shortcode block again at the end of the article with [author_box layout=”boxed”] as the code.

Do you think this is a problem with WordPress, The Newspaper Theme, or the Publish Press plugin? Any advice is appreciated. Thank you.

I have the same problem. With 12.6.3 version, whithout cache plugin, the homepage does not update. Only if I logged in I can see the content updated. Could somebody help us?

simchris

heh… it was top of mind for me in moving from 3x to 5x, and checking for stuff like the X icon, and testing php 8.2x etc. I literally just updated the 5x version to latest 5x version for that security fix stuff, so one week ago was just looking at this kind of thing too. (My old site still had a G+ share link on it, if you want to LOL.) 🙂

Dear sir

I use the Newspaper theme and I face a problem in my Home Page where I use the Flex Block element.
For example the first Flex Block 3 in my home page is a category for “ΠΑΡΕΜΒΑΣΕΙΣ” doesn’t update it with the latest post of the category, (but display the last minus 1 post).
On my filters I have Category filter: ΠΑΡΕΜΒΑΣΕΙΣ – [id : 25], Sort Order: -Latest.
The same proble is in all of my “Flex box” in home page where I use specific category.
When I use all category its ok.
Please check the image

https://prnt.sc/XZqHS_NNN_l9

In case you need credentials to fix up the problem please feel free to do it

I will send the credentials in contact@tagdiv.com

Thanks you
