Hello,

Sorry for the inconvenience. We are still looking into it as it seems there is no easy solution for it. We will have to create conditions for the inline ad we will add it in a future update of the theme when a viable solution is found. There is no quick fix I can provide for the moment.

Thank you for your understanding.

Hi,

The error mentioned above comes from seo yoast, not our theme. Yoast was updated a few days ago so try to update it and see if the issue is still there. Here is another mention of this:

Is it possible that there is error in this JavaScript, in the last updated version 7.4?

File: Newspaper/js/tagdiv_theme.js?ver=7.4
Line: 1401

This line:
jQuery( tdAnimationStack._general_selectors).not( ‘.’ + tdAnimationStack._animation_css_class2 ).addClass( tdAnimationStack._animation_css_class1 );

It has an empty string:
tdAnimationStack._animation_css_class2

Hello,

This is a wp super cache compatibility issue between the plugin and the latest vertsion of WP. This happnes even with the jetpack mobile thee. It a plugin issue, not a theme related issue. We have found a solution for it however until the plugin authors decide to update it. It is a simple one line o code solution:

HI

@Femsin
please make sure that you’re using V 3.1 of Newsmag theme and also check if Visual Composer plugin is update at V 4.12 which is included in theme’s path. For more details about the update process please check this links: https://forum.tagdiv.com/newsmag-how-to-update-the-theme/https://forum.tagdiv.com/newsmag-how-to-update-visual-composer-plugin/
Also try to deactivate all plugins except Visual Composer, clear all caches then test the site again. If you’re using a cache plugin make sure that ajax post views counter is enabled from theme panel > post settings: http://screencast.com/t/VJmuUbC7

Let us know how it goes.
Thanks!

Just updated to 7.4 and encountered a little odd issue.

When (on mobile) viewing a single post the whole site gets a little to wide for the actual browswer-window. The pictures seems to be out of alignment with the rest of the content.

If i press down on the screen av swipe left a white edge appear to the right of the main-menu (as seen in the first of the three pictures included).

I have tried to disable all my ads, updated to the latest version of the child-theme as well as tried without the child-theme all togheter. Nothing seems to help. The issue does not occur when on the landing/index page. Only on post-pages.

Site is enkelteknik.se if you want to see the issue. Only on the individual articles. The landning page is fine.

error

Ok I have tried everything so here is a better explanation. here is the first image. I have drawn an arrow to show the showered line. after the recent update see second picture

with line

This shows that the format or style or whatever you call it,…. is gone.

Without Line

Does anyone know why? The site is http://www.bangorbuzz.com

You need to tell Avast it’s not malware as an exception; one of many reasons I no longer use Avast. 🙂

UPDATES!

Best way to do this is to learn to use FTP and manually delete the old theme folder, then upload the new theme folder to /themes/ folder and new plugins to the /plugins/ folder in wp-content on your website.

Seriously, worth learning to do – simple, quick, consistent. You know it works, because you’re doing it.

Also good time when doing that to make local backups by downloading your site to your HD, to have safe copies of your site, old themes/plugins, images, wp-config, htaccess, etc.

Some common issues are
a) lazy load animation turned on; turn it off
b) external optimization of images breaking file type (e.g., Photon, Smush-It)
c) server update; need to reset your caching
d) expiration of CDN based on bucket expiration; need to reset
e) browser cache corrupted; clear history in your web browser
f) WordPress transients issue;
— 1) resave permalinks (get in habit doing this after any plugin/theme updates!)
— 2) optimize db tables with wp-optimize plugins.
g) And probably should check first: conflicting plugin or ad banner from AdSense/etc. breaking images; use console view in web browser (F12) to check for page error breaking page load.
h) less common, but images being loaded via http, page loading via https; no redirect for http >> https and/or domain mis-match from CDN/cache.
i) mod_pagespeed rewriting images, but breaking on serving the files due to server or domain setup error.

Good luck!

I just noticed that after I updated, the page has lost the shaded line that was under the main menu. This line that appears when the site is not stretched but in block format. To further explain, it was a shaded, defined line that separated the menu from the trending now on my site. http://www.bangorbuzz.com. I have updated everything, including plugins. Any ideas?

Hi Bogdan,

Both were already done before my posting. I double checked to be sure, so to confirm, I do have the latest 7.4 with all of the updates, but still the <p> tag isn’t working. It’s being stripped out.

JR

Hi guys,
I have Slider Revolution Version 5.2.5.1 installed. I notice that there are later versions available but this does not seem to be included in the latest Newspaper 7.4 update. Can you advise on when the latest version will be released? It looks like the last update to Slider Revolution was on 28 June and is, I believe, version 5.2.6.

Thanks in advance

I’m trying to make updates to a page in the post grid … but the changes aren’t saving. Why?

Also … why can’t we use the Front Page Editor

HI

Since V3 we made some major changes in block’s structure and all atts are now defined in td_block.php file. Maybe new implementation conflict with your code and it may be required an adjustment.
Unfortunately I can’t debug the code provided as this involve custom work and we can’t provide such services at the moment. If you still can’t manage to solve this issue my advice is to look for someone who can help you with implementation or hire a developer to update the code for you.

Thanks!

Hi,

Please try to update your Social Counter to the latest version of it -> 4.1. Please disable it, delete it from Plugins area and then, from Premium Plugins section, please install from there because that version comes bundled with the theme and should work as properly.

Hope this helps!

Thanks for the message!

Hello midronepro,

We will deeper investigate that error because until now we do not know from where appears that error and we will consider to fix it in next updates, as soon as possible.

Thanks for your understanding!

Few hours back updated to latest. Still same problem. Also I’m 100% sure that I’m entering right information, doing this FB permission thing already for long time.

Hi Catalin,
I did mention that I have encountered this issue the same day of the update but no answer. I updated the theme via Envato toolkit. I had to upload the mobile plugin from the last update in august.

I think the problem is with Envato toolkit as this time I can´t even see Install below the mobile plugin.

This may or may not be theme-related, but I’m posting it here – maybe someone would have an idea…

A couple of days ago, one of my plugins (“Image Watermark”, specifically) started producing the infamous “Cheatin uh?” error when attempting to add watermarks in Media Library.

Switching the theme to default TwentySixteen did not help, so this is probably the wrong place to ask this, but if anyone has an idea…

It is worth noting that the problem appeared out of nowhere, no changes whatsoever were made at the site when it came up. I have since updated both WP and the theme to the latest versions, but to no avail.

Hi,

Well we cannot see the site as you have a coming soon page. Please first of all make sure you have the latest version of the theme and of the plugins bundled with the theme.
In order to update the theme you can follow this guide: https://forum.tagdiv.com/how-to-update-the-theme-2/
As for the plugins the same method as updating visual composer applies: https://forum.tagdiv.com/how-to-update-visual-composer-plugin/
(Visual composer, revolutions slider, social counter and mobile theme)
If the issue is still there when using the latest updates, then please try to disable all plugins except visual composer, clear cache and reset cdn files if you use it. Then test your site again.
Let us know how it goes.

Thank you!
