I’ve updated the theme and turned off the backups, it resulted in a 40 btye savings. Thats not much.
I just got off the phone with my host support at Hostgator.com. I spoke to a 15-year WordPress Developer. After he spent over 30 minutes with me troubleshooting, he came to the conclusion that the Newspaper Theme has not been updated since July 2021 and that WordPress has had a major update with a lot of features including the block features which he says that the Newspaper Theme 11.2 (which I have installed) does not address.
He further said that the image blocks placed in a blog Post are not working properly to link to a different destination URL because of the current Newspaper Theme version.
Does your development team even know that this is an issue?
Please advise. Obviously, I am a Registered User of this theme but this issue exists and it is NOT happening because of anything in my WordPress setup or hosting.

I have scouted the forum for a solution, which I didn’t find.
Problem: I have used the dedicated tagdiv mobile design tool to create a mobile page for 2 pages on my website (wwww.chemindecosse.com). But the homepage (https://www.chemindecosse.com/) doesn’t load as expected on a mobile device, it shows the desktop layout. The other one (https://www.chemindecosse.com/excursions-au-depart-edimbourg/) shows an old version of the mobile layout, but not the one with the latest modification.
I am aware that sounds like a cache problem, and I configured the wp supercache just as it was mentionned in numerous post in the forum but it still doesn’t change the issue.
For your information, I can get the latest mobile layouts updates when accessing the website as admin, but the problem appears when I use a private navigation.

I have multiple Newspaper 11 sites on a wordpress network.
When I log into a site and press the upgrade button in the Newspaper admin area, it takes me to the network upgrade page where there is no way to update the them or the plugins.

By the way, this occurred when I added a new image AND with images that were already in posts. I recently updated the theme from 8.5 to 11.2. Could that have caused this?
Does that mean I have to do this will all images in my posts?

For some reason my entire website was interrupted with a single page from the Theme, saying the license key is not registered?
I bought this product, uploaded the entire zip file on the WordPress, and it is registered. Why is this happening? I have a high traffic website that contains news and social updates for the community and now it is gone!!!

I have the same issue & believe the latest update to that plugin to be the cause.
Same here. I have post poned the latest update on purpose because the updates usually are causing extra headache. I’m now forced to update, wish me luck!

My site showed the “Unactivated theme” page today… the theme is fully paid, activated, and the support is valid – for me update to version 11.2 and plugins update helped… but how can I avoid such a situation in the feature?
Same to me – it apears to be a theme problem… It’s not good recomendation for paid and activated theme to do this… for me update to new version and plugins update helped.
Never mind. Css code had disappeared during some update.

The list of categories is not visible in the Editor now.
I had a problem: “The response is not a valid JSON response” when I was going to publish an article. Now I resolved with an update of Newspaper at 11.2, but still categories are not visible. I tried to deactived all plugins and the problem was into one of tagdiv’s plugins
After the pubblication of an article, I am able to change the category (it takes the default one)
I still have the error when I open the Editor:

Hi, I know this is an old thread, but I had run into the same problem. I just figured out that I can simply disable lazy load for all images of a specific size instead of for classes like the mobile version problem.
I changed the image sizes that the mobile version plugin uses by editing the mobile theme files such as single.php. There was an issue with the mobile theme using big images by default that slows down a website. The only problem is that I had to add code into the mobile functions.php, and I have to keep the scripts backed up because it’ll all disappear after the plugin updates. Really wish TagDiv would give us a child theme for the mobile plugin.
So, I simply added this into WP Rocket lazy load exclusion settings and now lazy load is disabled for all images of this size:

It isn’t the best method, but it’ll have to do.
