Hi Calin,

Thank you. I understand that, but our main question is: Do we need to setup the child theme altogether again?

If yes, how can we do that? please provide step by step information.

1- Where can we locate the new files? (keeping in mind that we simply updated our theme, and this is not a new purchase).

2- As we have updated our regular theme, but we are still running the old child theme which we were using before updating the regular theme, what do we have to do next in order to update the child theme as well?

Hi Calin, I am also seeing these errors in the log files related to td-composer, I don’t know if this will help your developers or not.

With this many issues and bugs to fix, it sure would help those of us who have unhappy clients to give us some idea of when the update will ship. We can’t just keep telling out clients “we have no iea how long your website functionality will be broken” That’s just unprofessional on our part and it’s not nice to put us in this position. Even a vague idea of 1-2 weeks would at least give us a time frame. Obviously, with dev work, a new bug could pop up making the schedule lag, but there is always a schedule of some sort. So we know that even if you give us a date, that date could slip for any number of reasons.

But if I cannot give my client at least an idea of a fix, then they will require me to move away from your theme, and I will have to comply.

You can see what position this puts us in can’t you?

Hi Vlad, thanks for your response. I did check with the hoster. The operator updated PHP and the robots.txt file. But from their end, everything looks normal.

One strange thing though: I’m getting a good Pingdom score of 99. But on Google PageSpeed Insights I’m getting the worst possible score.

Any idea why the results are so different?

This problem is not just when you are upgrading from previous versions: I just bought the theme (version 10.2), install it on a brand new wordpress installation, and also missing the social brands to choose in the panel, there were just “Naver”.

I solved following the screencast, but just to let you know it’s not just with updates, also with new installations.

The sites all the people manage here are not static. I have 10k posts and it was even very hard to move to TD composer.. Updates are good but that radical changes should offer more smooth transition

We have recently updated our theme version to 10.2, but our child theme is Version: 9.0c.

What do you recommend doing in this case? do we need to setup the child theme altogether again?

I have updated the newspaper theme to the latest version and the issue solved.

I know that Theme need create all thumbs size (That set on the Theme panel) for diplay many of place on the homepage and category page…
But i mean that not only happen to the “Featured image” but also to all photo that i have added to the content of the post.
EX: 1 my post have a Featured image but using 10 image post in the content
=> it create all 22×11 = 242 images stored on the Upload folder
242 images but only using 22+10 = 32 Images for all, This is a huge waste.
Hope that made sense!
Does our theme have any way to clean that, or if not i suggest we should update this to the next version soon!

The same problem. Until last week everythink OK. Today – Failed to contact the templates API server. I have done no update of the core, no plugins updates, no changes on server side… Any help?

It seems i have the 9.8 version and the template i am using is one i built myself with tagdiv composer. Will i lose that if i uninstall the newspaper theme for the update?
