What builder did you use to build the page? From what I can see the single image elements don’t display properly, it may happen if you used WPBakery. This is a known issue and will be fixed, it happens when both the composer and WPBakery plugins are active.

In this particular case (updating to 9.7) it would be best to try and update by FTP

There were modifications made to theme files location, so it would be best to delete the old theme and upload the new one manually. Also try and increase the wp-memory, if possible to 256M, this could also be the cause of the problem

As well, check what is mentioned at point 2 in the guide. Entering that code in the htaccess could also solve it.

I suppose that you are referring to the appearance of a flash/time loading when you enter on your website, right? This behavior appears when you have additional customization through custom CSS code. Please notice that the CSS is working in cascade and the first time will take the code from style.css that is set it by default and then the theme will take the custom code that you have changed from the Theme panel and practically this flash is generated by this cause. As a workaround, you have to check your style.css and try to add directly to this file your desired custom code. So, if your problem is still there, please try to revert the theme to the default settings, without any customizations and let us know how it goes. Also, you can try to make a new install with the latest version of the theme and check the results. Also, please make sure every time you cleared caches. Noticed that the only files where you will have to edit are style.css. Also, please update the theme to the latest version of it. If you are not aware of the steps which are needed to take in this regard, please consider hiring a freelancer/developer to help you because we cannot provide custom work at the moment, sorry!

Make sure if your theme was correctly updated according to our documentation. If is not what you mean, provide more details about your problem so I can provide a more accurate response.

If it’s the same code and you modify the files same as before, it should work the same. Maybe double check the modifications, make sure they are made correctly. I haven’t tried this myself however.

But maybe it would also be better to consider using a plugin for this, this way you won’t have to make the same modifications to the files again and again, after each theme and theme plugins update.

I failed to see there are issues with the single images. Single image elements placed in pages with WPBakery may display and function incorrectly, when both the tagDiv composer and WPBakery are active. The 9.7 contained some issues, most of which are now fixed in 9.7.2. You can update directly to this version, this would be best.

However if there are problems maybe you could take your time and first test this update in a sub-domain or local install containing a copy of the website, instead of the live website.
The 9.7 update was a major update, there were modifications to the theme structure, many theme files were moved in the tagDiv composer plugin. This plugin has to be active at all times in order to maintain the same functionality as before.

There could be various issues that cause an issue like you mention, a child theme, a plugin maybe, custom code or theme modifications. Let me know if you have more questions.

I see it now, those elements don’t load the image alt and title. I will add this on the issue list and it will be fixed in a future update. Sorry for the inconvenience.

Maybe they did not yet make the final update to fulfill the Envato requirements, from what I know the deadline is the end of May. What exactly are the customizations that you previously made in the child theme? maybe there are other ways of doing it. Let me know.

Is possible that the version that you download to have some bogs, that’s way you should download the theme again and delete not override the current theme, after that install the theme that you download.
