Hi,
Thank you very much for your appreciation of the theme. There are more new features to come in future updates.
Removing the HTML comments within the actual theme file would not be a permanent solution, after an update it will have to be done again.
Try a plugin maybe, such as this one
– https://wordpress.org/plugins/vg-remove-html-comments/
Thanks
I have not gotten a chance to do the update of the theme btw. Sorry was that one of the suggestions in fixing the mobile shopping cart issue?
Hi,
If I understand correctly your comments not show up, it’s possible after update your comments to be disable, please read about Enable/disable comments here: https://forum.tagdiv.com/enabledisable-comments/
Thanks.
Hello HKS,
I suppose that you are referring to the appearance of a flash/time loading when you enter on your website, right? This behavior appears when you have additional customization through custom CSS code. Please notice that the CSS is working in cascade and the first time will take the code from style.css that is set it by default and then the theme will take the custom code that you have changed from Theme panel and practically this flash is generated by this cause. As a workaround, you have to check your style.css and try to add directly to this file your desired custom code. So, if your problem is still there, please try to revert the theme to the default settings, without any customizations and let us know how it goes. Also, you can try to make a new install with the latest version of the theme and check the results. Also, please make sure every time you cleared caches. Noticed that the only files where you will have to edit are style.css. Also, please update the theme to the latest version of it.
If you are not aware of the steps which are needed to take in this regard, please consider hiring a freelancer/developer to help you because we cannot provide custom work at the moment, sorry!
Hope this helps!
Thanks for your understanding!
Thank you, but I don’t understand why it would be erased if I update the Newspaper them? I don’t think I ever had this problem before when I updated a theme… if it truly is removed, then it’s best for me to do a header.php in a Child theme.
Hi,
You can do that manually, please go in Appearance>Editor and select Theme Header, you can put your code there, but be notice when you’ll update the theme you need to do this again.
Thanks.
Hi,
You mean something like a drop down which would appear when the button is hovered or clicked? The button element does not have such a feature at the moment unfortunately. Sorry for the inconvenience.
Could be available in the future however, each theme update will improve the composer and add more options.
Thanks
Hi,
From what I can find online that first notice would be caused by plugins
– https://stackoverflow.com/questions/10325238/notice-register-uninstall-hook-was-called-incorrectly
– https://wordpress.stackexchange.com/questions/242006/register-uninstall-hook-vs-uninstall-php-which-one-is-better-way-to-handle-p
If you indeed use theme version 7 you should consider to update. Such an old theme version may not work properly with the latest WordPress, maybe with some plugins as well.
The latest theme version is 9.0.1, there will be another update soon.
Problems that appeared in the theme when WordPress was updated were resolved in theme updates.
You can see the changelog of each version at the bottom of this page

Also a theme update guide and best practices notes here

Hello theg1819,
Did you have updated the theme to the latest version of it? Also, I have checked our email and I did not saw any email send from you, sorry!
Thanks.
Common issue with opcache on server with php; which is designed to ‘cache’ pages for a long time. We have same issue where the cache holds onto page longer than expected; but in our case not theme specific.
Sites without the issue are those with more dynamic elements on front page, like a post slider which forces page update due to new larger thumbnail made for the slider (esp useful with Newsmag). Because other elements on front page updated when post added to a block, seems to work better. Weather widget, and new latest iteration of dynamic responsive page level ads from Google, all seem to impact this behavior.
Just food for thought anyway … not theme specific on our 20 sites.
Alrighty, so I figured out what the problem was for me. Support suggested increasing the memory allocation, but that’s not what it was either.
It wasn’t the same as yours ijammedia and Bananaj, but thank you both for posting your solutions here because that helped immensely in finding the solution myself.
My issue had to do with a plugin I was using called “Page Links To” … I thought perhaps it was messing with the .htaccess file, but as it turns out it’s not compatible with Gutenberg (See: https://wordpress.org/support/topic/not-compatible-with-gutenberg/) and so I’m thinking in the new version of TD Composer there was an update in the WPEditor they’re using that’s not compatible with some plugins like Page Links To.
In my case, the fix was to shift to another plugin I found called External Permalinks Redux that is compatible.
Hope that helps someone else!
Hello Team,
I am using Newspaper 7 theme. I have updated to the latest version of wordpress 4.9.8. After that whenever I click on publish or update in a post, it gives me an 504 Gateway error. The post gets edited or published but I land on the 504 gateway error page after 60 secs of clicking on Publish or Update.
So I updated the wp-config.php file with debug to true. And this is the error message that comes at the top of the page now.
Notice: register_uninstall_hook was called incorrectly. Only a static class method or function can be used in an uninstall hook. Please see Debugging in WordPress for more information. (This message was added in version 3.1.0.) in /opt/bitnami/apps/wordpress/htdocs/wp-includes/functions.php on line 4161
Deprecated: Non-static method wp_horoscope::horoscope_init() should not be called statically in /opt/bitnami/apps/wordpress/htdocs/wp-includes/class-wp-hook.php on line 286
Can someone please help me with this?
I have deactivated the daily horoscope plugin and the second error does not come up anymore. There is an android Plugin which I cannot deactivate as the android app works through this plugin.
I just managed to access the error_log file and this is what I see
[proxy_fcgi:error] [pid 9893:tid 140602834302720] [client 172.31.37.172:51434] AH01071: Got error ‘PHP message: PHP Notice: register_uninstall_hook was called incorrectly. Need help please.
Thanks,

Shana

Hi
I use Newspaper v9.0.1 for a regional newspaper, the template is wonderful and I am very happy to use it.
I have a problem with the new posts that are updated during the day and the homepage, both in the desktop version and the mobile version. If the user is a regular visitor and he wants to see the new post of today, the homepage shows yesterday’s post, the user has to refresh the page (F5) to see the new post, this is not normal.
In the mobile version the same issue happens.
This is an image capture when I visited today from my computer and my cell phone website https://www.eldiariodeguayana.com.ve
https://snag.gy/PxLToZ.jpg
https://snag.gy/K15kzl.jpg
It does not show the new post without refreshing the page.
Several users complain about this issue
If I open a new incognito window in my browser from my computer or mobile and visit https://www.eldiariodeguayana.com.ve, if I can see the new post without pressing F5
How can I solve this issue?
Thank you

Hello resh0lga,
Please provide your website URL so I can take a closer look at it. Make sure that you have updated the theme to the latest version of it.
Thanks for the message!
Hello Janelle,
First of all, please update the theme to the latest version of it which is NP 9.0.1 via FTP way because this is the surest method in this case. Before this, make a full backup to your database to avoid losing all of your data and check the results. The Google AdSense has been fully tested with the theme and should works as expected, without any problems.
Thanks for your understanding!
Hi,
That modification will replace the publish date with the last updated date. If you wish to have both don’t replace the code, add the publish date code below the default code. Just as Bogdan mentioned in the last reply in that topic.
Like this example for post template 2
– https://www.screencast.com/t/B76LhZOm3
You can add some more design if needed.
Thanks
Hi, i’ve got the solution
You have to add nofollow not to td_social-sharing.php as support said
Yo have to ad no follow to td_social_icons.php (next to $td_a_target = ‘ target=”_blank” )
Please tagdiv creators, add no follow to social icons in the next update, and also on footer links.
Thanks
Hello Bikos,
Did you have updated the theme to the latest version of it? I have inspected your website and I saw that you are not using the latest version of it, as you can see here -> https://www.screencast.com/t/9yiQcTgC67 Update it via FTP way, clear all the caches and check the results. If the problem is still there, please provide some useful screenshots of the problem. Also, please remove all of the untested plugins, clear all the caches and check the results.
Thanks for your understanding!
Hey Catalin,
thanks for your reply. Im AWARE that these are 2 different things. And as i wrote its working for me. The only thing i want from you guys is a php code snipped which i can put into my new page-template to show the author box + item scope meta tags on the page w that template.
I dont care if its not pefect codewise or if i cant use your backand funktions on that particular page-template that i have copy+pasted from the post-template-7. it looks as i want it on the front end and google can flawlessly read it – enough for me.
What i dont want is to build or check other templates whith editior … it would just take me hours to get a result thats allready there in your post-template-7.

Hi,
This hasn’t been suggested before I believe. I will however add it on the list and it will be considered for a future theme update.
Thanks
