Please try one more thing. Disable all plugins except visual composer, clear cache and reset cdn files if you use it. The test the sidebars again. If the problem is still there without plugins, please contact us via email at contact@tagdiv.com and provide a link to your site and wp-admin so we can login and investigate the issue.

If you are required to add these elements on posts, then you can try to use visual composer on psots. it is just not recommended. Posts were never meant to have complex elements such as accordions and tabs, but if this is a must, you can try to use it but just keep in mind that some elements could not work as we only tested it on pages. By default our theme does not provide accordions and tabs on posts. We only recommend using the shortcodes and formats I exemplified above. There is no recommended way of adding those elements you want on posts but no one is restricting you into giving it a shot with visual composer elements. You can activate visual composer for posts from the visual composer settings: http://screencast.com/t/vtPDLk5SC6
Just keep in mind that this is not a tested and recommended implementation so if something goes wrong, you should replace the element as we have not tested it and cannot provide implementation methods for blocks that will not work properly on posts.

The visual composer activation message appears on all sites that use visual composer, not matter the theme or domain. In our case, you must ignore this message as the Visual Composer does not require activation when it’s provided in the theme package. I bought the Newspaper theme for a friend and in the demos, it has a sidebar on the home page yet no matter what I do, I can’t seem to get one for my site, http://timetravelnexus.com/.
On the edit page page I see this message: “While using Visual Composer sidebar settings are not available. To add a sidebar on page use the widgetised sidebar block.”
Yet, when I use that it just puts my sidebar at the bottom of my page. The rest of the pages on my site have the sidebar to the right. When we tried to put it to the right by splitting the columns, it seriously messed up and distorted the page. How can I get it to show up on my home page?

Not sure what happend but my site @ socialhomenews.com is acting funny. I noticed that there is now [vc_row][vc_column] and other code appearing. Now the module blocks aren’t aligning and the sidebar has disappeared? Before I started using Newspaper I had Avada installed which uses something called Fusion Builder and I’m not sure if there is a conflict between Visual Composer and that but something is not right.
If anyone can point me in the right direction I would be grateful. thanks.
okay i read that link and it says “Visual Composer is working only on Pages and will help you to create amazing and unique layouts“. Now i am confused what shortcodes should i use in my posts. On several posts i have the requirement to create a message box, accordion, icon box etc. But you are saying vc shortcodes should be used only in pages.

Your sidebar appears, but it;s broken and shows below the footer: http://screencast.com/t/U6ih6pn9ucc There could be a broken html tag in your post content or a plugin conflict so please check on multiple posts and please disable all plugins except visual composer, clear cache and reset cdn files if you use it.

This is most definitely a line height issue. It affects the menu as well as the pagination. Please restore the theme line height to the default values. Check any custom code you might have or disable all plugins except visual composer, clear cache and reset cdn files if you use it.

It is not a bug but most likely an external source causing this. it could be a plugin or the cache or any optimization tolls you might use that causes the issue. Please disable all plugins except visual composer, clear cache ande reset cdn files if you use it. Then test again without the other plugins. disabling and re-installing the plugins again will not do anything as you must test without them to see if the error comes from an active plugin. Also if you use a child theme, please switch to the main theme and test again.

This is most likely a caching issue. Please only use wp super cache and these settings: https://forum.tagdiv.com/cache-plugin-install-and-configure/ and for a cdn: https://forum.tagdiv.com/cloudflare-cdn/
Please also check your host for any host related caching. Also try it without plugins by disabling all of them except visual composer, clear cache and reset cdn files.

Why should i not use vc shortcodes in my posts ?. For example can’t i use a VC message box in my post to provide a specific info. Just confused with your reply 🙂

I suppose that you are using some untested plugins which can interact with our theme and cause a lot of unknown issues, like Rocket Loader, WP-Rocket, etc. Please notice that we cannot provide support for untested plugins. Try to disable all of the plugins, leave just Visual Composer to active, clear all your caches and install only the plugins that come bundled with the theme packet and rule out any conflicting plugins. It’s found on the Themeforest website and in the download ‘all files’ for the Newsmag theme.
You will get automated email from TF when the theme is actually updated. Don’t go by the “last updated” box on right side of TF page as that is just when the info was updated, not necessarily the actual theme.

When I use visual composer for post and divide row in 3 columns, i got a strange vertical line in the middle of 1st and 3rd column. I don’t know where it comes from and try to find a css and fix it but nothing found. Please tell me how to get this strange vertical line out or disable it?

I purchased Newspaper, packed with Visual Composer. If I want to use the Newspaper theme with BeaverBuilder, instead of Visual Composer, is it OK? Subject to your response, I may or may not install and/or activate Visual Composer, and use BeaverBuilder for all my page/posts. Do you have any experiences on this?

I’ve just upgraded from 7.4 to 7.5. Several aspects of the site are not working properly mainly on our homepage.
First, we use a News ticker and a Big Grid Slide at the top of our homepage. Following the upgrade, without changing anything, the slider has stopped rendering on the homepage.

I checked the source code of the page and the element is simply not there.
I thought I’d check and see if TagDiv Composer might be of use. When I attempted to use it, I got the following error:

Finally, we use Block 1 at the bottom of a two-column row. In Newspaper 7.4, the block formatted itself into two columns with the big story on the left and four smaller ones on the right. Now, it spans both columns.
Any help with these issues is appreciated with the Big Grid Slide being the most urgent.

Im using the Newspaper theme on more websites.
Now Ive installed the theme yesterday on my new website and I’m not able to save my (Visual Composer) blocks on my pages and posts.
The first 5 or 10 minutes everything is working. After this time Im pressing the ‘save’ button of my text blocks, image blocks or other blocks and nothing happens.
Its very frustrating because I cant work on my website with this.
Is this a bug or is it my mistake? I already deactived and reinstalled the plugin.

I just installed the theme, I set up the home page by studying the code generated
by the demo install on a localhost, I prefer working with the shortcodes rather than Visual
composer.
I got a couple of questions:
1.I used the tag [td_block_slide] to generate the slide on the home page, how do i make
the slide to auto-slide and to display pictures from let’s say 6 latest posts.
2.What is the visual composer short codes for Latest Posts widget, Categories widget,and Text widget.
3.How do I make the default side bar appear on the home page.
4.How do I populate the Editor Picks widgets in the footer with selected posts.

You should add the Block 24 layout from your Visual Composer. Please notice that each demo has own style if you want to have, for example, on the Say What demo the style from Car Blog demo, notice that you should do it manually. Also, you can use the inspector browser, check the style from your desired demo and then you should implement it yourself. If you want to make some additional customization to our theme and if you are not aware of the steps which are needed to take in this regard, please consider hiring a freelancer/developer to help you because wee cannot provide custom work at the moment, sorry!
