Hello guys what should I keep in mind when updating from 6.6 to 8.7? I did some custom coding on home page with Visual Composer, would those changes be lost if I use the new TD composer? This seems like the heaviest change. Anything else I should keep in mind? Thanks!
Hi,
I see that you are using single images to display the ads. From what I can see, in this case the issue could be caused by both composers being active (tagDiv composer and Visual composer). These page builders have a different functionality for single images.
If you use Visual composer for the pages, please deactivate the tagDiv composer plugin. Then the links you set for the single images should work properly.

Hello, Trying to Add a Button To Page Post, I found a plugin and it gives you a short code after you create it, but when I use it in the page I am trying to use it shows the shortcode with no effect to anything
– I am using a plugin called Button X that builds a button then you can paste it via short code in a page post
– Just shows the code [btnsx id=”178″]
– I tried using visual editor in WP and text (code) editor
Does this theme not support short codes or what may a solution be?

I installed the AMP plugin for newspaper to adapt my website to the new Google mobile technology.
When I enter from Google with my mobile the web looks very bad. The displaced images, has changed some translated texts and the color … You can not see the drop-down menu above. It seems that it does not adapt well. When I enter with a computer there are no problems. I have unmounted the AMP plugin for newspaper because I had many visual problems.
But if it is true that the pages of the web were loaded very fast with the AMP plugin. I wish I could have it installed. How can I do it? Is there any newspaper technical support? Thanks for answering!

It could be a temporary problem with your opacity. Maybe your images are stuck in opacity 0. This usually happens on a js error caused by plugins or customization or other external optimization tools. Please disable all plugins except visual composer, clear cache and reset CDN files if you use it. Please also check any custom code you might have added to the theme panel or the theme files. If you use a child theme, please switch to the main theme to make sure it does not affect the proper functioning of the theme.

Thanks, Catalin. I deactivated and deleted the Jetpack plugin, but it does not help. I find it very weird that the pictures are clearly where they are supposed to be, the show in the backend, but not in the frontend. Have you had a look at the screenshots above? Not explaneable to me 🙁
Another thing I suspect: I created the sites with the WPBakery Visual Composer and still run a not-up-to-date version of that plugin. But I understand that you do not use this page builder in the theme anymore? Would it help to update it – and how would I do that? Or should I not use this plugin at all anymore?

I have disabled the caching plugins(that I installed using the tagdiv instructions),
and set the cloudflare free cdn in Pause mode.
When I new post is published, only in desktop pcs appears normally. On the mobile devices are displayed only previous
posts. When I clean everything on my mobile I see the new post.

I run a recipe blog that relies heavily on post layouts made with WP Bakery Visual Composer and an add-on for displaying recipes. My only complain with TagDiv Composer is that it will not allow me to display my images correctly on posts using WP Bakery Visual Composer’s “Single Image” module.
If I de-activate WP Bakery Visual Composer, TagDiv Composer doesn’t seem to work on Posts; only Pages.
How can I:
A) stop TagDiv Composer from giving me weird image display sizes/cropping on Posts
or
B) use TagDiv Composer on Posts and not just on Pages?
With TD Composer i can’t hide rows to devices, with Visual Composer i can. I can’t use TD Composer….

Most items are available in both page builder with many differences. More recently, it was introduced our own page builder which is named TD Composer. So, that page builder is at the beginning and also, it is in a continuous development. You will not found all the elements which Visual Composer has. From now on, this plugin will be improved with some features which have to be exclusively for this builder. You can use our page builder by default WordPress editor but you should know the shortcodes generated by this plugin. When the tagDiv composer is active it will cause issues with posts built with Visual composer. A solution would be to deactivate the tagDiv composer (it will activate automatically when the theme is updated or installed).

Make sure that you are using the latest version of the theme installed via FTP way, remove all of the untested plugins, clear all the caches and check the results. Use only such a page builder to create your pages. Use only TD Composer to be active and disable the Visual COmposer if it was enabled to rule out any conflicts. Provide some useful screenshots if the problem is still there and also, you can provide your website URL for further investigations.

I want to set my homepage design, but the big problem I am facing is when I add my home page and then set my website homepage to static homepage cyberthana.com/home then the blog title and tagline changes. My original title and tagline is CyberThana-A cyber security company, but after adding static page its changes to Home-Cyberthana. I really don’t want this to show my visitors that this is home section because they already visited my home section by going to cyberthana.com
When I remove my static page and sets my homepage to latest post then everything looks ok but there is no Td composer or visual composer shows on that page to edit my homepage without adding a /home static page. I really don’t want this.
So please solve my issue by giving me proper solution for this.
If you have not edited any page or post with the visual composer, then you can remove it. The demos require td composer, and it is not recommended to use both plugins together. If you had made any pages with the visual composer, you should recreate them afresh with td composer to prevent any errors.
I installed demo which available in theme and not used visual composer for any elements. So can i remove this plugin??

Thanks for the response Bogdan, Simon and fametaxi.
We were finally able to update the theme 8.7.1. We updated the theme and the plugins in the theme package, including Visual Composer.
We are still having trouble with the search and menu button on mobile, on our home page caymancompass.com. We did a test where we deactivated all plugins, then activated each plugin at a time, starting with Visual Composer.
Everything else works great. The only clues I have is that:
1. Images don’t show, (opacity 0) so the animation doesn’t fire. Currently, we have some CSS to override it until we find a fix.
and 2. when we tried to use Autoptimize to test if combining all javascript helped, the buttons worked again, but photo galleries did not. So, it’s something with js, but we’re stuck. I even added this line to css, as Mr. Google suggested, but still no luck:#td-top-mobile-toggle {
cursor: pointer !IMPORTANT;
}
The above solution did not work either.
Any advice would be appreciated. We will continue to troubleshoot.
