Hi,

I use a row on my homepage with two colums: 7/12 + 5/12 Created in Visual Composer. (My website: http://airportal.hu/ – see the top part of the page)

When I install & switch on Tagdiv Composer that part of the page appears in one column (1/1).

I’d use Tagdiv Composer because it’s nice plugin, but because of thes problem I had to get rid of it.

Would you fix this maybe in the next releases?

hi,
I find TagDiv composer more successful than Visual composer (my english is not very good. maybe I wrote it wrong. so tagdiv is more successful)
but Some things are missing in TagDiv composer.
I tried to use visual composer to make up for it.
but TagDiv composer and visual composer are not very compatible. they are not working on the same page.
How do I use the Google map and video player(single and simple as in visual composer) in TagDiv composer. (video playlist is unpractical)
Does this features come to TagDiv composer in the next updates.

I installed the Fitness blog theme, but the images keep switching positions every time I hit the home tab, or hit the site name to go back to the homepage. When I Check with the theme itself on the demo page, the images (or posts) do not change places every time you go back to the homepage. I don’t want my posts to keep shuffling around. Is there a way you guys can help?
Also, near the bottom on the demo theme, the group of posts titled “Must Read” have the title centered, but on mine, the title is shifted to the left. I went to the backend in visual composer to fix, but I can’t because I can’t find any option. Any suggestions?

Hello Tagdiv. I have been using the adinserter plugin from the beginning and it work worked fine with the theme. Recently i found some problem with the insertion. I use the auto insert option in Adinserter to push the ads inside the content. Recently i switched to tagdiv composer and the problem occurred ever since. When a page is built with tagdiv composer with the sidebar, the plugin consider that also as content and insert ad inside the sidebar as well. This problem was not there with the visual composer. What is the aolution for this. Currenly disabled the ad insertion for the pages in my blog catholicgallery.org

Thanks a lot a lot for your work and prompt answer. You mentioned I should not use both tagdiv builder and visual composer since they are not compatible and make crashes. So I would not use tagdiv builder. What functions are related to tagdiv builder?

For example, as far as I know, there are two ways of using categories; one from the basic wordpress function and the other buying getting into the theme panel of the the newspaper control section right above posts section. Is using the category through the latter method the part of tagdiv builder function?

I am asking you this question because I am keen on using only visual composer and will remove tagdiv builder. So before I take action, I would like to make sure of everything.

As I’ve read, the TagDiv Composer does not work with Mobile Theme and AMP Pages.

I’ve tested it with the Mobile Theme and on a smartphone the pages with TagDiv Composer were simply blank. So basically people who use the composer on other pages than the homepage can’t use the Mobile Theme nor the AMP Plug-in, which is pretty sad.

So is there a possibility of implementing the following in the future:

NO COMPOSER USED > Page shown as AMP or Mobile Theme (depending with Plug-Ins are installed)
COMPOSER USED > Page shown is the one from the theme shown in responsive mode (and the AMP and Mobile Theme are automatically deactivated in this case)

I guess this pretty difficult to code/implement but I am curious if something like that is planned in the future?

My first go at upgrading to 8.7 was a disaster. I punted and went back to 8.6.

I then rebuilt the website up from scratch exactly the way I want without starting with a demo. I used Visual Composer as Tag Composer constantly locked my screen or would not perform. I started with a blank sheet, added rows, columns and widgets and set the loops for articles up and I was successful in creating a robust site with Slider Revolution at the top, pressed right up to the MAIN MENU, having to trick it by entering -48px for the Margin, Newsletters call to actions, Social Media interfaces and a whole lot more.

I then used DUPLICATOR, as I had done in the past, and everything was migrated without a hitch. Previously when I used DUPLICATOR and built the site up using one of the Demos, the replicated site never carried over from the original site. Building a site up from scratch apparently set everything I needed in such a way that DUPLICATING it became a snap.I did not have to do an EXPORT and then IMPORT of Theme settings.

THEN . . . having replicated the site over to another, I gave the 8.6 to 8.7.1 upgrade another try.

To upgrade Visual Composer and Tag Composer, you must first Deactivate and delete them. If you follow the sequence provided in the documentation, it states to delete the Newspaper theme first, then FTP 8.7.1 over under the Themes Folder AND THEN upgrade your plugins.

If you follow that sequence, the Admin Dashboard is completely shutdown and goes blank white. You lose all access to being able to visually do anything. I blew out the site again, and reinstalled again with DUPLICATOR.

The sequence I followed that worked was:

I deleted Visual Composer first and updated it.
I deleted Social and updated it.
I then deleted Tag Composer, updated it, then got a boat load of ever messages of incompatibility with 8.6 and the Social Counter.
I then blew out the old Newspaper theme and replaced it with 8.7.1.

Then and only then did everything work flawlessly.

I installed the AMP plugin expecting a robust configuration tool. The only thing I was able to do was set some colors. Have I completely missed something? I was using AMP for WP and it allowed me to set an image in the header. the only reason I migrated to 8.7.1 was that I thought I would get some robust AMP configuration capability. AMP for WordPress was selling a NEWSPAPER compatible Theme for AMP but I thought with TagDiv I would get a more bug free, robust integration.

Documentation really is very thin. The tutorial on AMP was thin and I struggled to find out if I just needed to drop the Analytics code in or drop in actual code as described in the pop up help on the Theme Panel. I finally just dropped the Analytics code, brought up Google Analytics Dashboard and tested and it worked.

I could not find any specific documentation on the Multi Purpose Plugin. I installed it, played around with settings, and notice no difference on the site, so I deleted it.

The Newsletter Plugin – I have not been able to find any documentation on this at all. I have previously installed Holler Box and it meets my needs, so I deleted this plugin as well.

SO . . . . I AM STILL TRYING TO FIGURE OUT WHAT I GAINED BY UPGRADING TO 8.7.1.

As I read I am finding TagDiv is stating there are bugs with AMP and there will be an emergency patch. I have no idea what those bugs are. I am getting results on the Google Dashboard.

My issue is the AMP Post has no customization. What am I missing? Do I create a template? Do I need to Reinstall AMP fo WP so I can have a logo in the Header? I thought the whole point of Upgrading to 8.7.1 was so that AMP was fully supported.

I’ve been using TD Composer now and I like the upgrade. However there are a few elements from the old Visual Composer that I don’t see in the new TD composer and I was wondering if I was missing something.

Say for example image gallery. It’s an option in the old visual composer and was very useful. Is there no option now to have image gallery in TD composer? Would I have to keep switching back and forth between the two page builders to make this possible?

Also I was wondering about the text as well. When I’m using inline text do I have to format it with html tags? (eg. <br>, <b></b> etc?) Am I not able to use the text editor like before? It’s just a lot more time consuming to format the text than it was before and I’m wondering what the best way forward here is.

I am using the Animal News template as a model. It seems to me that it uses the Visual Composer and not the tagDiv Composer. Now you are suggesting to move to tagDiv Composer. Can you suggest the best way to proceed?
1 – Can I have some pages made with Visual Composer and others with tagDiv Composer?
2 – Can I disable Visual Composer even if the pages –I am referring to the demo pages– have been created with Visual Composer?
3 – Is it best if I recreate everything with tagDiv Composer, even the pages from the demo?
4- Or do you plan to reconstruct the demos using tagdiv Composer?
