I can’t find the visual omposer plugin in the zip file I dowloaded after purchasing. I don’t want use tagdiv composer for several reasons (I can suppose that’s a good solution, but I don’t need it).
How I can install the Visual Composer plugin in Newspaper 8?
Thanks

Hello

If you plan on using the tagdiv composer, then yes unfortunately. Visual composer was never intended to be used on poses together with our theme. You cna still use visual composer if you want to , but please note that we will no longer add any new features to it. We will still provide updates but the new features we will add in future updates will be for the tagdiv composer exclusively.

Thank you!

Hi Catalin, i just see one possible solution, but i need to know if you think it´s right and tell me how. I explain you

If i go to Pages-Homepage newspapper (Homepage) and in Visual composer open block2 settings, i see a filter like ‘post type’. Can I use this filter for example this way?

1-Post with no image i choose like ‘post template’ the style_7, no contain image on design
2-In visual composer, block2 settings, i choose style default or other, an so don´t show post template ‘style_7’

It´s possible that solution, in case yes, how write the only shows default style?

Thanks for your help

I’m new to tagdiv and the Newpaper theme so excuse my utter ignorance.

How do I enable a spell checker in the visual composer?

Hi, I deactivated the tagdiv composer as, in the current state, I fail to see its use if it cannot fully replace Visual Composer.
The error message disappeared.
Will its deactivation cause any issues?

So let me answer my own question in case someone else has this problem in the future.

The mysterious appearance of unwanted shortcodes in my new posts was because I had Visual Composer set to run in both pages and posts. By default, Visual Composer is supposed to work only on pages, which makes sense. that’s the place where you’re most likely to build complex layouts.

Anyway, I set Visual Composer back to its default and the posts are coming up like you would expect a well-behaved new post to do.

Hello,

Please do not use both page builders at the same time. Choose one or the other. We recommend switching to the tagdiv composer as we will develop our theme in the future based on our own page builder, not visual composer. You will still be able to use visual composer in the future but it will remain with the options available for it now. We will not add any new elements to visual composer. We will add lots of new and cool stuff to the tagdiv composer though.

As for the loading screen on the page builder, please increase your memory allocation by following this guide: https://forum.tagdiv.com/system-status-parameters-guide/

Thank you!

Hello,
This issue happens when using visual composer on posts. If you want to move to the new page builder, you will have to remove visual composer elements and shortcodes from your posts. Otherwise the content layout will break such as you mentioned above. The issue is solved by disabling the tagdiv composer but you will not be able to use the tagdiv composer with visual composer shortcodes on your posts. Sorry. Visual composer was never meant to be used on posts: https://forum.tagdiv.com/how-to-use-visual-composer/

Thanks.

Hi,

Codes entered in the theme panel custom code sections will work properly. What I meant was that some users are using Visual composer on posts and entering specific elements in the post pages. That may not be the best solution, if you plan on using the new tagDiv composer in the future. It was never recommended to use Visual composer on posts. The new front-end composer cannot be used on posts, only for pages
https://forum.tagdiv.com/search/composer/
https://forum.tagdiv.com/visual-composer-tagdiv-composer-transition/
One can still use Visual composer, but it should be taken into consideration that in future theme updates, more elements and options will be added exclusively for the tagDiv composer only.

Thanks

Hello,

We will still provide updates for the visual composer plugin. You can still use visual composer with the current version but with a few side-notes:

– Do not use both page builders at the same time. Choose one or the other.
Visual composer will still receive updates and will still be provided in the theme package, but all the new features we will add in coming updates will be based exclusively on the tagdiv composer.
-We will no longer develop any new options for visual composer. Visual composer will remain as an optional alternative to the tagdiv composer.

Thank you!

Hello,
The new page builder is not “required”. You can still use visual composer but with a few side-notes:

Hello rea-secret,

I guess that you are using the Visual Composer for post pages, right? Notice that thing has not been tested and the VC will not be tested to be used for post pages but only for pages, sorry! Also, on the new theme version, the TD Composer will not recognize the tabs element and that’s why this will not work, sorry!
For better results, try using only the tested ways because otherwise, most likely you will encounter some errors through your website, sorry!

Thanks for your understanding!

Hello exploreclt,

I guess you do not exactly understand how the mobile plug-in works. Notice that if your pages were made with Visual Composer or TD Composer, the mobile theme will not recognize the shortcodes from these builders and that’s why you will not bring any results in this regard, sorry! For more information about our Mobile Theme concept, please check the useful guide here -> https://forum.tagdiv.com/the-mobile-theme/

Thanks for your understanding!

Hello Valadim,

Sorry, but you missed an important thing! Please notice that the pages which were created with Visual Composer cannot be edited with our page builder and vice versa. For more information about transition between these page builders, please check our useful guide here -> https://forum.tagdiv.com/tagdiv-composer-tutorial/ -> https://forum.tagdiv.com/visual-composer-tagdiv-composer-transition/

Hope this helps!

Thanks for your understanding!

Hi,

Three columns is the maximum number that can be used when using the tagDiv composer at the moment. You will have to create a layout based on this condition. Maybe additional options will be made available in future updates, but I could not say for sure if this will happen.
You can still use Visual composer if you want, but please consider that in the future more options will be added exclusively for the new front-end page editor.
More useful information about the composer here

Thanks

I am having same problem after theme update to 8. The single image block in visual composer is not displaying correctly and the links don’t work when using it as well.

A work around that other people suggested is disabling TagDiv Composer. Then images will display properly that use the Single image block. The only problem is that post created/updated when plugin was active will not display any content.

Hi,

I know that blocks can be used to display category posts.

For example block 9, they have too much space between titles.

I would rather prefer them to be compact with less spacing between post title.

For eg, I would prefer
aaaaaaa
bbbbbbb
ccccccc

rather than what is now Block 9

aaaaaaa

bbbbbbb

ccccccc

Also regarding downloaded plugins, I want to add widgets on homepage using Visual Composer or Tagdiv Composer.

Regards,
Siddharth

Hello simonefavaro,

Yes, you should re-create your pages which were made with Visual Composer, with TD Composer if you further want to use our builder. For more information about transitions, please check here -> https://forum.tagdiv.com/visual-composer-tagdiv-composer-transition/

Thanks for the message!

Hi,

At the moment the mobile theme is not working on your website, also there is a huge number of errors present on the page
https://www.screencast.com/t/2d0vTYJ3UxnL
This most likely is caused by a problematic plugin, or plugin conflict. Try as a test to deactivate all of them except Visual composer and the mobile theme, clear the cache and see if it is working as intended. Also very important is to update all the plugins provided in the theme package along with the theme updates.

Thanks

I can not somehow translate the Visual Composer into a Tag div Builder, because I have a white screen. Earlier in the posts, I saw that this could be due to the SSL certificate. If I run a redirect on https then everything works, it works, if I put it – I get a white screen. How to solve this problem?

Hi Catalin thanks,

yes, because I came back to the visual composer…
in that case I leave it only on the pages added in \td-speed-booster.php

if(is_single()){
unset($this->style_footer_queue[‘js_composer_front’]);
}

But with tagdiv composer what is the best way to remove all js and css included from articles?

Who has a news site has very few pages and many articles. On articles the speed is very important

Thanks!

Hello,

If you hover over the edit post screen (available for logged in users only) then the link will take you into the back-end to the post edit where you can edit the post visualized: https://www.screencast.com/t/aa8UhWSLc

Hello,

You are not uploading the plugin in the uploads section but rather you are trying to add it in the media library. Please access the plugins section: https://www.screencast.com/t/9qpnoWna
Here is a guide describing how to install the plugin: https://forum.tagdiv.com/how-to-use-visual-composer/

Thank you!
