Hi there,

I want to use the Visual Composer Template Library, but I can’t download any templates as it asks for to register the plugin.

I read on the page : https://forum.tagdiv.com/how-to-update-visual-composer-plugin/ :

The theme includes a license for this plugin so you don’t have to buy it.
You don’t have to activate the plugin license, it’s already activated.

How can I use these features when it says it’s not activated, while it should be activated ?

Hello,

Please try to disable all plugins except visual composer, clear cache and reset cdn files if you use it. Please also check any custom code you might have added to the theme panel or the theme files. If you use a child theme, please switch to the main theme to make sure it does not affect the proper functionality of the theme.

Thank you!

Hi,

The picture you mention is a header ad. If you want to display the ad below the header, please select a header style that does that automatically. Like Header style 7 for example that looks like this
https://www.screencast.com/t/1opezFNGf
If this has nothing to do with the ad and you want to insert a picture below the header, you could just simply use a single image element from Visual composer and add it on the top of your page
https://www.screencast.com/t/8o5pfk7aFt7
Then select the image you want and the settings
https://www.screencast.com/t/Qo4LRpNgafba
https://www.screencast.com/t/XhN5TJOi4wgi
This works only for pages, if you want an image to appear everywhere on the website you must edit the header style template file that you are using. For example something as simple as this
https://www.screencast.com/t/rjapLpBR
https://www.screencast.com/t/VkruwjNptLTl
The image will appear on every page of your website.

Thanks

Hi,

I do not know exactly what needs to be done to achieve something like that. The Visual composer plugin is very complex, and no solution was provided before for this. Also the theme does not have an option to support this implementation. It would be best to try and use the default options for the blocks, because they already have settings to help you sort and filter the content that is displayed
https://forum.tagdiv.com/block-settings-guide/
You just need to enter one or more post or page Id’s and the block will display them only, until you change the entered data or remove this condition. This is useful when you want to display particular posts in a block or big grid, always.

Thanks

Hi,

If you would like to move the title on that block module, you need to edit the module file. There is no option by default to make a modification like that. Each module is predefined and has it’s own style. The file you must edit is this – https://www.screencast.com/t/8ciOaazxZ01H
There you have to move the line of code responsible for the title like this
https://www.screencast.com/t/dCArpZi8
https://www.screencast.com/t/SqXZ3RVxK1t
With a result like this
https://www.screencast.com/t/32z1mgdrEXIi
If you would like to achieve a full width layout, you can use the full grids available. You can see these here
https://www.screencast.com/t/2vgYoZAIX
https://demo.tagdiv.com/newspaper/category/grid-full-10/
Also when creating a page with Visual composer it is required to use only this layout
https://forum.tagdiv.com/how-to-use-visual-composer/
Other layout settings for the rows may not work properly, the elements should be used on the recommended column settings.

Thanks

Hello,

If you do not use visual composer, then you can disable it without a doubt.
There is no problem in disabling it if you do not use visual composer on pages.

Thank you!

Hi,

Maybe you are not configuring the shop page properly
https://www.screencast.com/t/dW3HjnekZ
This way the shop page should display all your products on the shop page. Here is a link to the Woocommerce plugin official documentation guide for setup and installation
https://docs.woocommerce.com/
You can also use elements from Woocommerce in the Visual composer editor for pages
https://www.screencast.com/t/tZqrtIPjSZ

Thanks

Hello,

I could not see the issue as I have been testing with my android phone and the issue only seems to be affecting iphones. However, the same issue does not happen on our demo so it is not a theme bug. This could be a plugin conflict so please disable all plugins except visual composer, clear cache and reset cdn files if you use it. Please also check any custom code you might have added to the theme panel or the theme files. If you use a child theme, please switch to the main theme to make sure it does not affect the proper functionality of the theme.

Hi,

Each demo has it’s own style that is custom made for it. However it is entirely possible to recreate it.
The homepage is a a page created in Visual composer with the following elements that you mention
The Must read section is block 5 on a full row
https://www.screencast.com/t/kXGPxTa3
The Fashion section is block 11 on 2 columns
https://www.screencast.com/t/OXy1v5Yki8HQ
The Latest articles is block 9 on 2 columns
https://www.screencast.com/t/42gPr5neIZRm
All the font properties for these elements can be modified as well, in the theme panel
https://forum.tagdiv.com/font-customization/
You can see all the available blocks in different layouts here
https://demo.tagdiv.com/newspaper/block-1/
You can use the browser inspector tool to identify the elements used on the page. Here is a guide to help you
https://forum.tagdiv.com/create-custom-code-using-the-browsers-inspector/

Hello fredyyv,

If you want to make some links using the Visual Composer, notice that you can do this if you will use the Visual Composer Buttons functionality, like this -> https://www.screencast.com/t/U1Z3CMxK2Z For more information about how you can use this plugin, please consult here -> https://forum.tagdiv.com/how-to-use-visual-composer/

Hope this helps!

Hello davidagent,

Please notice that layout (1/4+1/2+1/4) is not tested with our theme and we cannot say for sure if you are using it you will bring best results. If you will check the row settings in Visual Composer you will see that layout is not active, like this -> https://www.screencast.com/t/LVeZC360 For more information about how you should use the Visual Composer, please check here -> https://forum.tagdiv.com/how-to-use-visual-composer/

Hi,
The element is created custom for the dark demo version. In order to re-create it you need to create a tab element in visual composer and only use grids with style 1. Then you ned to add an extra class to the tab element: td-tab-color
Once you did this, you need to copy over the css from the black version into the main style.css file: http://screencast.com/t/2A3bCsQF
Thanks.

Hi,

You can create the layout you want using the available elements from Visual composer. Here you can see all the available blocks and big grids that you can be used
https://demo.tagdiv.com/newspaper/block-1/
https://demo.tagdiv.com/newspaper/big-grid-1/
With these and many more you can create unique designs for your website. Please also take a look at the theme demo’s which demonstrate the capabilities of the theme and what can be achieved through it

Hi,

The Visual composer editor is an important part of the theme, with it you can create unique page design using the featured blocks, grids and other elements. This editor is one of the key advantages of the theme providing many customization possibilities. If you choose not to use it this will limit capabilities in this regard. You can use the theme without Visual composer, but with limited customization options.

Thanks

Thanks for your answer, I have a query. The theme can work without visual compuser since I do not need them.

The theme can work without installing the plungins visual compuser. Or there would be some problem.

I need to uninstall the plugins since I do not need them. On the cover I’m using the latest posts. I await your response, thank you.

I want to know if there would be any problem your not using the visual compuser

Hello dabadaba,

Please keep in mind that here is talking about two different things. On the website, tags means this -> https://www.screencast.com/t/OlB2OcUPLdue and the category tags means this -> https://www.screencast.com/t/5wttwxE3c0w If you want to display your Tags on your homepage, you should use WP Tag Cloud element from Visual Composer, like this -> https://www.screencast.com/t/xKbnrQhWu

Hope this helps!

Hello,

Sorry but our news ticker does not have that kind of layout as seen on the site you mentioned.
There are only 2 styles available for the ticker: https://www.screencast.com/t/W8zpJViil
Categories cannot be edited like static pages using visual composer so you cannot add block elements to them unless you add them through coding.
Here is an example of a trending now block added through a do_shortcode function in the category top post files https://www.screencast.com/t/k9zFLrYkEg
Here is the code used: <?php echo do_shortcode('[td_block_trending_now tdc_css=""]'); ?>

Thank you!

Hello,

This issue is caused due to many complex elements on your site. That causes a very high load in the serve. In this case you will simply need better hosting so all the complex elements can be supported by it. Visual composer is known to be slow and demanding and that is why people tend to find different page builder solutions. Our own page builder does not present a risk as you say as it’s developed by us not a third party. We are working hard on the page builder and it will become a very powerful tool.
Now for a solution to your ajax problem. The first one would be jot to use too many different blocks on your homepage. Using more different blocks will cause a higher load. You seem to use lots of different blocks on your homepage. Make the homepage simpler with no more than 4 blocks if your hosting cannot handle a larger number on high traffic spikes.
To reduce ajax calls, simply remove some of the pagination and ajax filters on your blocks. For mobile users, one solution could be the mobile theme plugin: https://forum.tagdiv.com/the-mobile-theme/
And last but not least, check your plugins as they slow down the site radically. You also have lots of js errors in your console most likely due to plugins or customization.

Thank you!

Hi there,

I would like to create a poll from time to time for my audience. The poll will use a custom post type and I can create a special layout template from Visual Composer for all poll posts.

I want to remove these elements from the poll posts:
– social share buttons (top and bottom)
– author card
– next and previous post
– category and tag
– breadcrumb

Note that these elements are standard for other posts and I would like to keep them. I will use ‘Custom CSS’ plugin to insert custom codes to remove the above for ONLY poll posts.

Can you provide the codes that I can add in ‘Custom CSS’ to remove the above elements? Or is there any other better way to do this, ie custom css for only certain type of post?

Thanks in advance

I think the default RSS widget comes with WordPress, not the theme.

There are many great RSS widgets plugins to look at, as best option if you don’t want to edit the one included with WordPress with filters/styles.

Best to look at the WordPress.org plugin repository for custom ‘widgets’ that can be used.

If you’re asking about a Visual Composer element, that’s something entirely different, and I have no idea.

( I don’t work here – just some feedback. )
