Hi,
Please notice that the speed of your website depends on how well your site is optimized.
Notice that is not a simple task and if you do not have any experience in this regard you will do not bring good results for the theme. Also, notice that we have a speed optimization tutorial but this is addressed only to advanced users. So, if you follow the steps which are presented in this tutorial here -> https://forum.tagdiv.com/how-to-make-the-site-faster/ you can increase the page speed loading and if you are not aware of the steps in this regard, please consider hiring a freelancer/developer to help you because the speed optimization services are not covered by our support policy, as you can read here -> https://forum.tagdiv.com/support-policy-2/ Check our documentation here -> https://forum.tagdiv.com/requirements-for-newspaper/ regarding on dedicated server to fit our requirements.
Unfortunately, our theme does not have such an option to minify the style.css file and we cannot recommend any plugins with this functionality because is not tested with our theme. For minifying this file, we are using CloudFlare for our demo and works fine. If you want to read other views from our users, please check this topic -> https://forum.tagdiv.com/topic/tip-how-to-easily-minify-your-css-without-breaking-your-site/
Also, check all of your Ad Spots and if you have entered any suspicious code through them, remove all of them and check the results without them.
One of our top members here on the forum wrote his own optimization tutorial here:
https://forum.tagdiv.com/topic/tutorial-chriss-custom-optimizations-for-functions-php-etc/ and here -> https://www.infophilic.com/get-almost-100-pagespeed-newspaper-theme/
Basically, these are the theme requirements

Another useful guide for increasing the page speed can be found here -> https://kinsta.com/blog/google-pagespeed-insights/
Lately, Google Page Speed Insight seems to change the layout and is not always reliable.
For minify CSS you can use this online tool -> https://www.minifier.org/
Thanks for your understanding!

Hi,
I’m running an Android blog using Newsmag but i have a speed problem. I’m using a VPS and have applied WP Super Cache, TD Speed Boost and also followed the guide but its not helpful. I’ve contacted the hosting and they are saying the main problem is the theme.
My website URL is http://www.androidtutorial.net
Please review and let me know the exact problem.
Hi,
If you use a cache plugin, your website speed will increase; we recommend to use WP Super Cache -> https://forum.tagdiv.com/cache-plugin-install-and-configure/
Thank you for your understanding!
Hi,
Please make sure that you do not have a plugin conflict, please deactivate all non theme plugins, also if you are using child theme or cache plugin, please deactivate them, clear all cache and try again.
Please check our documentation for increase page loading speed -> https://tagdiv.com/how-to-increase-page-loading-speed/

Hi,
There are some few optimizations, but I don’t think this will make a big difference of speed; the best way will be to make an test using a copy of your website on a sub-domain were you can make the update and check the improves.
Also is possible to need to make the set for increase page loading speed -> https://tagdiv.com/how-to-increase-page-loading-speed/

Hi,
Google recently changed their algorithm so comparing your current score with an older one is no longer valid. The demos page speed score have dropped as well.
Please use the following guides to increase the page loading speed score:
– https://forum.tagdiv.com/cache-plugin-install-and-configure/
– https://forum.tagdiv.com/how-to-make-the-site-faster/
– https://forum.tagdiv.com/topic/score-100100-pagespeed-with-newspaper-wordpress-theme/

– https://forum.tagdiv.com/topic/tutorial-chriss-custom-optimizations-for-functions-php-etc/
We also recommend this Cloudflare configuration

Hi,
Unfortunately I can not access your website -> https://www.screencast.com/t/ATrFvCoTVQbX
Hi,
The mobile theme is a plugin that provide you a better speed then responsive version of theme, but in order to achieve that speed you’ll need to create a new content for pages because in the most of cases those were made with builders ( tagDiv Composer, WPBakery ) and you need to use only the mobile editor ( you need to set the content for pages in mobile editor and this content will be display on mobile theme)
-> https://www.screencast.com/t/ebUIzt4se
Also please check our documentation for Mobile Theme: Automatic Optimization for Mobile with Newspaper Theme -> https://tagdiv.com/mobile-theme-automatic-optimization-for-mobile-newspaper-theme/
I think that you are referring to those 3 blocks, for those you’ll need to have set seam feature posts (that have set feature category) -> https://forum.tagdiv.com/featured-posts-2/ -> https://www.screencast.com/t/QsJ6ppY4
You’ll need to add some post in feature category -> https://forum.tagdiv.com/featured-posts-2/ if you do not have this category you can create it, just make sure that you set the category name to be
Featured
I think this is because you are using the mobile theme plugin.
If you want to use the mobile theme with amp, but you need to have the desktop design you can use the “AMP” option from Newspaper>Theme panel>Mobile theme>Mobile settings
-> https://www.screencast.com/t/CEVSensTM6
Thank you for your understanding!
Hello,
I’ve added the social counter on my homepage a while ago (on my test subdomain and now on prod) but the youtube subscribers count does not seem to be updated – the rest of the social networks look fine. I’ve deleted and reinstalled the plugin but that does not seem to help.
The URL to my website is – https://bogari.bg/, I’ve used the Youtube Channel URL.
Also Google Page Speed Insights shows a pretty bad score. I’ve installed and configured the Cache plugin, as per your tutorial. Any other optimization suggestions?
And one more – I think this is a known issue – from a SEO perspective it is not good that all the video post titles (especially in the menu) are set to be <H3>. In my case this leaves the impression of lots and lots of duplicated (major) content on all pages. Any workarounds or updates on when we can expect development on the issue?
Thanks in advance for your assistance.
Hi this is the conversation I had with Siteground today
Sharron Livingston: I am trying to make a change on Newspaper – Theme panel – ads. I wish to delete the text in the header ad. Unfortunately the system won’t save. The Support Forum wants
Server requirements
WordPress 4.0 or later
Apache or Nginx
php.ini memory limit: 40MB (recommended: 96M)
PHP version 5.6 or greater (recommended: PHP 7.0 or greater)
MySQL version 5.0 or greater (recommended: MySQL 5.5 or greater)
The mod_rewrite Apache module (optional)
For optimal performance the server requires some settings to be made, the optimizations include:
Use a cache plugin – we recommend WP Super Cache
Page Speed optimization –
Can you help me with this?
Sharron Livingston: This question is related to account: resellerthetravelmagazine.net
Teodor A.: Hey there
Teodor A.: I hope you are doing fine today!
Sharron Livingston: Hi Teador
Sharron Livingston: I am, but feeling overwhelmed
Sharron Livingston: I wanted to save an amendment I made on Newspaper – Theme Panels – Ads
Sharron Livingston: but it won’t save the amendment. so I went to their support panel and they just said the above
Sharron Livingston: and I have no clue what any of that means.
Sharron Livingston: Can you help?
Teodor A.: I understand you and what I can do is to make sure that all the server-side requirements are met
Sharron Livingston: thank you.
Sharron Livingston: shall I hang on here to find out if they are met
Teodor A.: Most welcome! Can you just tell me the domain name in question?
Teodor A.: Yes, but can you just tell me the domain of your site?
Sharron Livingston: http://www.thetravelmagazine.net
Teodor A.: Thank you! I am onit
Sharron Livingston: That’s great. Hanging on…. 🙂
Teodor A.: I am all done now! I carefully reviewed your account and confirm that all requriements server-wise are met now! The only change I had to do was for the memory_limit PHP variable as it was indeed having a lower value
Teodor A.: Everything else looks great!
Sharron Livingston: A cache plugin – we recommend WP Super Cache Page Speed optimization – we created a guide for this here
Sharron Livingston: Do we have that
Teodor A.: Yes, I already checked your website and you do have this pluginSharron Livingston: WP_MEMORY_LIMIT try to increase it at least to 256mb. Also please check the php version to be 7-7.2
Sharron Livingston: do you know what that means
Teodor A.: Yes, the PHP version for your site is currenty 7.1 which meets these requirements, the memory_limit has just neen increased to 256MB
Teodor A.: Oh, great. Now in order to resolve the initial issue, I would suggest to contact the plugin developers you use directly and tell them that the server requirements are met so that they can do some other checks being most familiar with how it works and to resolve issues related to it
Teodor A.: Of course, in case there anything that we can help or adjust from our side, you are always welcome to come back at us
UNFORTUNATELY … the save function still does not work. Can you help?
Hi,
First please make a full backup to your website and database.
Please check this article: how to Manage and Delete Transients in WordPress -> https://www.wpbeginner.com/plugins/how-to-manage-and-delete-transients-in-wordpress/
If you want to delete them using a plugin or a database query https://www.screencast.com/t/v57p2mLhK840 this code will delete all transient for amp img
only the transient timeout amp img
https://pastebin.com/2AU04Mi8
and this one will remove all transients from wp_options
https://pastebin.com/h9vXh0AT
Hope this will help you to increase your website speed.
Thank you!
Hi,
Unfortunately for the moment there are not many options for amp version, please check our documentation for How to Make an AMP Ready Website with Newspaper Theme -> https://tagdiv.com/amp-newspaper-theme/

Hi,
Using the new version of mobile theme + AMP you’ll have the same design for AMP posts/pages link on mobile.
1. Please make sure that you set the amp like in our documentation for How to Make an AMP Ready Website with Newspaper Theme -> https://tagdiv.com/amp-newspaper-theme/
2. If you want to turn of some AMP post/page you need to use the AMP option from mobile theme -> https://www.screencast.com/t/K71l6QDBvl and you can turn of the AMP for post pages ( for those will be show the mobile version ).
3. The mobile theme is a plugin that provide you a better speed then responsive version of theme, but in order to achieve that speed you’ll need to create a new content for pages because in the most of cases those were made with builders ( tagDiv Composer, WPBakery ) and you need to use only the mobile editor ( you need to set the content for pages in mobile editor and this content will be display on mobile theme)-> https://www.screencast.com/t/ebUIzt4se

So there is no way to prevent my .gif banner to load on mobile? Except using mobile theme.
The problem with the mobile theme is that the most of the plugin get deactivated and also I can’t handle advertising correctly. And of course I like the layout from the regular version more.
Anyway I tried to deactivate jetpack image optimization. I think the problem with larger image is gone. Can you verify in speed insight?
I don’t know to much about Amp. Is my website WORKING with AMP?
The amp, for example, is showed when click on Twitter shared articles right? The problem is that in the amp version I don’t see my full logo and, expecially, my adv like top article or bottom. Is there a way to show the same adv from regular version into amp version? Basically I’d like to make Amp looks like as similar as possible to the normal version…
Hi,
That is true, when designing a cloud header template what you set in it for desktop will not appear on mobile. So you have to add elements when on mobile. So for example I have this content on desktop
– http://prntscr.com/n3kwyw and this on mobile – http://prntscr.com/n3kx50
Both the desktop header content and the mobile content are loaded, it is just that when on desktop the mobile header is hidden, and when on mobile the desktop header is hidden. But the elements are still there and loaded, just hidden.
The purpose of the mobile theme is to simplify the mobile pages greatly, that is why with it active the results are noticeably better when testing with speed tools. Now it can also be used together with the AMP official plugin.
We will improve it’s current functionality in future updates. If it’s not active the same exact content and resources from desktop will be loaded on mobile, and now with the somewhat new Google algorithm when testing it will take into account each website visitors loading speed on mobile and provide a score based on this.
The issue with the background loading transition is known, we will find a solution for it. The quick fix for the moment would be to enter this code in the theme panel analytics section, enter it as the first code there (before all other codes you have entered)
<style>.td-element-style {
opacity:1!important;
}</style>
Flex blocks use one of these thumbnails – http://prntscr.com/n3l80s This allows greater flexibility by for example setting a custom height or width for the module. But it also means that the image may not be exactly as the module, like with predefined blocks.
However from what I can see the flex block in the homepage on your website isn’t using a theme created thumbnail, instead the original image is resized
– http://prntscr.com/n3lb1r
I suggest that you regenerate the thumbnails so that they are created properly
– https://forum.tagdiv.com/thumbnails-fix-strange-looking-images-on-blocks/
Also disable the jetpack image optimization module for images
– https://jetpack.com/support/site-accelerator/
Or begin by disabling this module first, and check if a thumbnail is loaded, before regenerating.
Thanks
Hi,
Please note that for pages there are no templates, those are build individual with tagDiv Composer, also your css code is doing what a template should do, that css is apply once for all page titles, that means that your website speed will not decrease.
Thank you for your understanding!
Hi Calin,
No, that’s the title I want to modify.
At the moment the title of pages is modified with a CSS (I’ll paste it below) but if I just changed the pages template then I wouldn’t need to use this CSS and so the speed of the website would be better.
Here is the CSS to transform the page titles like other titles on the website:
.td-page-title{
margin-top: 16px;
text-align: center;
font-size: 42px;
line-height: 48px;
font-weight: 600;
padding: 10px 8%;
letter-spacing: .02em;
}
Thanks
