This is a complex task and are required many customizations and tests in order to be achieved. Basically it’s needed a new implementation regarding the featured image.
We can’t offer customization services at the moment so if you still need guidance on this or you’re not aware of the steps you need to take in this regard please consider hiring a developer or a freelancer to do this for you.

Hi

I am not sure why the date is not translated on your side as I’ve test this in my end and works fine: http://screencast.com/t/SRS5JQq44http://screencast.com/t/QvsgurOf8jVh
Try to make a new local install on your computer, with the latest version of WordPress, the current version of the theme available on themeforest, V 2.3.6, Visual Composer plugin and and check if the problem is still there.
Let us know how it goes and if the problem persist please send us an email at contact@tagdiv.com with your login credentials and we will inspect this issue as soon as possible, also include a link to this topic.

Thanks!

Hi

All page content and settings are stored in database and won’t be lost when the plugin is updated. However as a security measure do a full backup to your current wp-install and the database: https://codex.wordpress.org/WordPress_Backups

Hi

I am not aware of the rules that you had in .htacess file. If among those rules was one which blocked content from external sources, or blocked the connection to our server then the theme couldn’t made the required concoctions.
Please provide your code from .htacess file so we can have a closer look to it and maybe we can help.

Thanks!

Hi

@akobryan
I get your point but we can’t totally forget about page speed or the size of page loaded by the browser in favor of a nice looking layout on a specific device. For many clients the page speed is a very important factor. The page speed refers exclusively how fast your server can serve the requested page, not how fast is visitor’s internet connection. For example a page which contains only high images will have a bigger size and also the response time will be higher.
We still look for a way to improve theme’s layout on mobile and we do our best to find a middle way which somehow will fit in all situations.

Thanks for your message!

Hi

This is a very complex tack which require many customizations in order to be achieved. The easiest way would be like this:
– define a special thumb in td_config.php with the desired size: http://screencast.com/t/R0P1shKkG Make sure you regenrate your thumbnails after new thumb is defined.
– edit each files which generate the theme’s modules and change the parameter from get_image function with your custom image size: http://screencast.com/t/3g3l9GdVITNA
– scale your images with css such that to be displayed fine on each module/block.

Note that this is a very complex task which require many customizations in theme’s files and also good coding skills are involved in order to complete it. We can’t offer customization services at the moment so if you still need guidance on this or you’re not aware of the steps you need to take in this regard please consider hiring a developer or a freelancer to do this for you.

Hi

I’ve checked your site and the theme works fine but you don’t have set the featured image for your post, that’s why there is no image displayed on homepage. Try to set some featured images for your posts: http://screencast.com/t/tDU3mo4C then test the site again.

Thanks!

Hi

@robson2386
I’ve checked your site and noticed that when I access some posts the theme used to display them changes to newssetter: http://screencast.com/t/bj680EgsK9RR This is one of the those posts: http://motoday.pl/2015/06/16/bmw-serii-1-e87-jedyny-kompakt-z-napedem-na-tyl/ I am not sure why this happens but seems to affect site’s functionality and that’s why the featured image is not displayed on modules.
Make sure you have installed the Newsmag theme according with our documentation, also deactivate all plugins except Visual Composer, clear all caches, purge cdn files if you’re using then test the site again.

Hi

This is a very complex task because there are many aspects that must be considered. Let’s take an image by 100x100px as example. This image will be displayed fine in a 100x100px container on desktop without additional customizations and filters for its quality. However on mobile devices the situation it’s a bit different. To display a image in a container by 100x100px without affecting image’s quality, the image must be at least by double size. That means that the image must have 200x200px to keep its good quality on mobile.
Loading big images on mobile devices is not a good practice because site’s load speed will be affected, also requires more traffic.
We still investigate this and hopefully in future updates we will come out with a better implementation. However I can’t say how much time will pass until some changes will be made as we need to find the best solution from any point of view.

Thanks for your suggestions and for your message.

Hi

After WordPress’s last update there appeared a jQuery conflict in our theme. We fixed this conflict and the current theme version available on themeforest works fine, also we included last version of Visual Composer plugin.
Try to update the theme at V 2.3.6, and Visual Composer at V 4.11.2 following our documentation: https://forum.tagdiv.com/newsmag-how-to-update-the-theme/https://forum.tagdiv.com/newsmag-how-to-update-visual-composer-plugin/

Thanks!

Hi

The mega menu have a different functionality on tablet than on desktop and works like this:
– on desktop when user hover over the menu item the mega menu part it’s displayed. Also if the user click on menu item will be redirected to the link set on that item.
– on tablet when user click first time on menu item the mega menu it’s displayed and at second click it’s hidden. We didn’t managed to find a solution for navigation link set on the item which display a mega menu in same time. At the moment on tablet you can’t have an item which display a mega menu and also a navigation link on that item.
We still work on this and hopefully in a future version of the theme we will be able to implement a fix for this.

Thanks for your understanding.
