Yes, you use header style 1 that does not have a hover or active background color for menu items. It only uses the underline. Please switch to a different header style from the list above for a menu with a background hover color and no underline.

It can be implemented without revolution slider, yes. But it requires coding knowledge as you can imagine. There is no simple solution I can provide in this regard as it’s not a simple thing to do. You can maybe try to check the theme files and see how it;s implemented and maybe you can replicate the implementation.

each menu item has it;s own menu item number that you can use in the code. If you want to target anotjher one you would add it like so:

The ad box will not show a title as it’s meant for an ad, not a standard block element. If you want to have an ad with a standard block title, you can use a text with title element and place your ad in the text field directly.

The attachment page cannot be customized with visual composer. Sorry. It is created by wordpress for each image and we added just a slight touch to it to fit the theme layout. The top grid will show the featured posts so any post that is added to the featured category will show up as a featured post. the bottom dropdown will show a list of your latest posts. If the post is both the most recent and is a featured one, then it will show up on both blocks, yes.

Simply disabling the plugins for a brief moment will not do it. You have to disable all plugins except visual composer, clear cache and purge cdn files. Then test again. If you use a child theme, please switch to the main theme to make sure it does not affect the proper functionality of the theme.

Try to create a testing sub-domain or a localhost and test the image quality there as well.
