Hello,
I could not inspect your website as this is what i got: http://screencast.com/t/AsoS27jdX5
The more tag from wp does not work with our theme as our excerpts are custom made. It only worked for one module (15) that gets the full content of the post and it still works in the current version of the theme: http://screencast.com/t/Cl3ucmGY
You can controll all other excerpts from the theme panel: http://screencast.com/t/YdD3IklGhP
Thank you!

Unfortunately you cannot stop piracy. It will always be present regardless of our efforts. Big companies struggle with this problem as well. Pirated versions of the theme cannot get updates and have no access to support.
Thank you for your message.

Hello Howard,
We have not received your email.
Please try to give the ad a size for each device and see if the size from the theme panel applies to it: http://screencast.com/t/Z4Q8HGUpU
Thank you!

Hello,
I see you used visual composer on posts. You can change the post template if you wish from the post settings.
You are placing the ad in visual composer inside the content. You cannot move it above the content from the files if you use it like this. What you can do is edit the default template (i assume that one is specified in the panel) and add your visual composer shortcode to the file: http://screencast.com/t/dRb58PAz4
code: <?php echo do_shortcode('[td_block_ad_box spot_id="custom_ad_2"]')?>
And then remove the ad box from your post as it will be picked up from the code you insert.
This will make every post that has the default template specified display the ad.
I hope this helps. If the default template is not specified in the panel you can apply the customization to the other loo-single files depending on the template specified. loop-single is the default template, loop-single-1 is template 1, so on and so forth.
Thank you!

Hi,
We actually updated it in the previous version 6.6 (we are at 6.6.1 now) so it allows html without modifications. http://tagdiv.com/newspaper-6-6-update/
As for your customization, if it works, you did it correctly :).
Thank you for posting your solution so other people can benefit from it.

Hello,
We updated the social counter again in the current version 6.6.1 as some people had trouble with the facebook button. You can try to update your theme to the latest version and install the latest version of the social counter.
Try to remove the social counter widgets from your website and add them again afterwards.
Let us know how it goes
Thank you!

Hello,
You only need to use this custom css to get the widget to display as the title:
.block-title span{
width:100%
}
.block-title span:after{
width:58%
}

But unfortunately a different width must be specified for every widget as title length will not be the same. if you set it to.
It will require further customization.

Hello,
Our theme disables the front end editor from visual composer so all modifications need to be made in the back end. If you cannot see all visual composer option, please try to check all the options in the visual composer settings: http://screencast.com/t/TvfPVwVRj
In older versions settings look different but the main idea is to check all the options in the administrator area. You can also try to disable all your plugins except visual composer and check again to rule out a plugin conflict.
If the problem is still there try to update your theme and visual composer following this tutorial: https://forum.tagdiv.com/how-to-update-the-theme-2/https://forum.tagdiv.com/how-to-update-visual-composer-plugin/
Let us know how it goes.
Thank you!

Hello,
Please try it without any plugins. Di0able all of them except visual composer, clear your cache and purge cdn files if you use it. Also please check your custom modifications if you have any.
Let us know how it goes.

Hello,
Please try Chris’ method as shown above to deactivate all your plugins and see if the problem is still there. This seems like a plugin conflict. If the problem persists then you will have to check any custom modifications you made to your theme or wp install.
Let us know how it goes.
Thank you!

Hello,
This is why the support team is here, to help out with problems. Please post the problems you have with our theme so we can help out.
You can create a sub-domain and use the theme on a testing site to see how you can apply it before you replace your website and current theme.
You can follow this topic to see how it can be done: https://wordpress.org/support/topic/creating-a-staging-or-test-site. Then you can play with the settings and options without affecting your website.
Thank you.

Hello,
This error comes up from time to time on youtube itself. Please try it with another youtube video and see if the error is displayed again. I tested it with this video andeverything seems to display fine: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3Fhx2YgbskE

Hello,
Unfortunately i could not recreate the issue. The code from your files does not cause the error. I could not find any errors so the issue most likely comes from some place else. Please try to check all your modifications if you have them anywhere else to see if there are no open tags. If everything else fails, you will need to do a fresh install of your theme. The ftp way is the best choice. Do a back-up of your modified files and use this method to install the theme: https://forum.tagdiv.com/install-via-ftp/
Thank you!

Hello,
I tried it on my end: http://screencast.com/t/Tu2f1bgGzBH6 The ad displays fine. Even in this forum the ad displays fine in your reply above.
Please disable all your plugin except visual composer, clear your cache and purge cdn files to rule out a plugin conflict.

Hello,
You cannot ‘update’ your accordion tab as a regular update. The only way to update a vc element is to remove it and create it again. Sorry for that, I should have been more specific. Your accordion was created with an older version of visual composer which used the old element.
You will need to update your version of visual composer as well as i see you have not updated it. Please follow this guide to do it: https://forum.tagdiv.com/how-to-update-visual-composer-plugin/
I hope this helps.
Thanks.

Hello,
The wide picture you showed as an example will not work well on blocks as it will get cropped like this: http://screencast.com/t/HZiz8lKlllO8
You need to upload images in the correct aspect ratio. Wide banners like that will not display well on our blocks. The block i showed you above uses a thumbnail size of 324×235 and your image is 696×290. It will be cropped to fit the container but if the aspect ratio is not close to the one of the block it will be cut-out.
A better way to explain this is with simple math : 324/235=1.37 and 696/290=2.4 you need to get your image as close to the result (1.37) as possible. No matter the size.
I hope this helps get an idea of how aspect ratio works.
Thank you!

Hello,
Unfortunately it will be no easy task to change the custom ad class as it is used multiple times in the theme files: http://screencast.com/t/teDottL31dLn. You will need to edit every one of these files and change the name. You can maybe use a find and replace app if yopu realy want this modification done.
As a note, if your ad is reported to adblock, then there is nothing you can do about it ‘ad’ name or not.
Thank you!

Hi,

2) It is not weird as this is a default behavior of ther theme. A post will have every category or sub-category displayed on the top. If i specify 20 categoriess or sub-categoriess to the post they will all display: http://screencast.com/t/BTeOfsrvJ
Unfortunately there is no option to hide a specific category from a post. You can disable all of them from the theme panel: http://screencast.com/t/zavyzutGqHt

4)The theme has no option to hide a specific author based on the author description. Maybe you can find a plugin that provides this option in order to have it as your previous theme.

5)Indeed it is a css trick but we need to inspect it so we can get the class needed to apply the code.
for example on this block: http://screencast.com/t/SisfBDI9
code:
.td_uid_18_5661402fc34c4_rand .block-title > span{
background-color:red!important;
}

That long id number is different for every block element. You will need to identify yours and place it in the code. You can use the browser inspector to get the class.

6)You are getting posts from all categories on your block because you have it set to all categories and have not specified what categories you want your block to display posts from. You have specified categories for the ajax dropdown, which is the “menu” on the right of the title. You need to insert the categoriy id’s in the filter tab and in the multiple categories filter.

Thank you!

Bogdan B.
tagDiv Staff

Hello,
Unfortunately you cannot do that with css. You will have to edit the core files and add a condition to the background render file: http://screencast.com/t/O3HUULQhly2
You will use this function: https://codex.wordpress.org/Function_Reference/in_category
code:
if (in_category(array(101))) {
$this->background_parameters = $background_parameters;
}

The number you see in the code is the category id. you can use multiple category id’s here separated by comma like so: 8,10,12,102,… etc. So the background image will only be visible in that particular category.
I hope this helps.
Thanks.

Hi,
The block i edited in the example above is exactly as you describe it. Title, excerpt and all aligned left.
http://screencast.com/t/UWducKxoHBCe (I think you replied before i got to edit it and add the code for block 4. Please read above.)
You can edit block 10 if you want by using this css:
.td_module_9{
text-align:left!important;
}

Thank you!

Bogdan B.

Hello,
You need to edit the css not add it to the bottom of the file. If you do that, the result will be the same. Find the css that applies to the element class you wish to change and edit the parameters.
Unfortunately the downside of this is that in a future update you will lose your modification as the style.css will get replaced.
Thank you!
