The 500 errors problem in most cases is caused by low wp-memory or old php version.

Please make sure that all the settings are like in our requirements, please follow the guide carefully

and please increase all requirements that are lower, and follow all steps.
WP_MEMORY_LIMIT try to increase it at least to 256mb.

Unfortunately our theme do not have this option, sorry! I think that for the moment this can be achieve only using some plugins or maybe with custom work, unfortunately we did not tested non plugins for comments with our theme and we can not recommend a plugin, sorry!

The pace can differ in function of Newspaper theme version and the footer you have set
If you have the Newspaper v9.7 for mobile theme you can check this file wp-content/plugins/td-composer/mobile/footer.php and for thestop should be in this file -> wp-content/themes/Newspaper/footer.php
