Hi,
As far as I know, there were no updates that should interfere with the block from your screenhost. Maybe you have an extra code apply on it. If you can provide a link to your website, I will take a look.
Thank you!
Hi,
From what I see in your screenhost, I believe that there are some wrong settings on the row that is holding the columns. Could you provide some screenshots from tagDiv Composer? or if possible to provide a temporary wp-admin access. Please contact us via email at contact@tagdiv.com https://www.wpbeginner.com/plugins/how-to-create-temporary-login-for-wordpress-no-passwords/
Thank you!
Hi,
As far as I know, there are no changes for the blocks from your image. Could you provide a link to your website to inspect it? Maybe an extra cs is applied on them.
Thank you!
Hi,
I’ve just checked the website, but it appears that a different theme is currently being used https://i.imgur.com/x1nEzmg.png . Therefore, we are unable to investigate the problem at this time.
If you would like to use the Newspaper theme and agree to let us investigate the situation, please contact us by email at contact@tagdiv.com and provide WP-Admin and cPanel access.
The Newspaper theme must be assigned on the website so we can properly check it. If you prefer not to interfere with the live site, this can be tested on a staging environment instead.
Thank you!
Hi,
The ad from the sidebar – https://i.imgur.com/ckI86FP.png is set using tagDiv Composer in the element ad box. Use the right click on the element and click on delete element from the menu to remove the element from the template. https://i.imgur.com/bW11Nz6.png
Thank you!
Hi,
I think that you can use the “Recent comments” element from tagDiv Composer https://i.imgur.com/uxQNmwV.png, this will display teh author and the date when the last comment was added.
Another solution is to try a plugin https://wordpress.org/plugins/comments-widget-plus/
Hi,
I’m glad that you managed to make it work!
Hi,
Ok, so now on desktop is set and is displayed correctly https://prnt.sc/5k-Gh59f5aB5 but you need it on mobile to be adjusted, for this css in the theme panel > custom code> advance css > phone css:
body .td-trending-now-wrapper {
flex-direction: row;
margin-left: 18px;
}
Hi,
Please check if you are using the unique article option on your homepage: https://forum.tagdiv.com/unique-articles/ Also, if you drag a new block and do not make any changes to it, is it working correctly? If it is, then there are some settings from the current block.
Thank you!
Hi,
There are no categories in pages. If you want to create a page similar to a category, you can do so, but it won’t behave the same as a category template. A category template can be used for all categories that use that template. A page configured similarly to a category will display only the categories set on the page.
The category base can be changed or removed if needed, the most popular method as far as I know is with the Yoast SEO plugin
– https://kb.yoast.com/kb/how-to-remove-the-categories-prefix/
– https://www.wpbeginner.com/wp-tutorials/how-to-change-the-category-base-prefix-in-wordpress/
You could try these if you want to change/remove the category base from the URL. Note that if you remove the /category/ from the URL, you will probably have to create redirects from the old URLs to the new ones – https://www.blogstand.com/change-category-base-prefix-wordpress/ -> https://jonnyjordan.com/blog/how-to-remove-category-from-your-urls-in-wordpress/
Thank you!
Hi,
Unfortunately, I’m not sure that I understand the question correctly, could you please try to explain it again? Do you have assigned individual templates to articles and you’d like to force the theme to use the global template? If so, you must know that the individual template is the strongest one and will apply over all set templates, so resetting all article templates to normal willnot be easy, but it can be done.
Please use one of the methods mentioned in this topic – https://forum.tagdiv.com/topic/automatically-set-all-posts-with-the-new-graphic-template/ but not before you have a full backup for your website.
Hi,

Hi,
It is possible to have a standard footer style selected, for example,e if you have footer style 1 – https://i.imgur.com/yEdzqSn.png is si coming with the pre-set blocks and content for the footer, so if you add extra blocks in Appearance> Widgets> Footer 1/2/3, this will be added as extra widgets https://i.imgur.com/317Lwwd.png
What you can do is to remove the widget from footer 1/2/3 or replace the footer template with another one that has the footer columns empty, like footer style 5.
Thank you!
Hi,
In case you see shortcodes on your website when you are logged in, then some theme plugins are not installed. Have you checked whether the theme plugins are installed and activated? The same theme plugins that you had before the theme update should also be updated and enabled. Those can be installed from the newspaper > plugins. You need to have tagDiv Composer, tagDiv Cloud Library, and for old templates, you’ll need tagDiv Standard Pack plugins (those are the most used theme plugins).
Thank you!
HI,
Please do a test using only the theme plugins and see if this problem persists; in 99% from situations, this is a plugin conflict.
Thank you!
Hi,
To do that, please use this custom CSS. The CSS should be set in the theme opanel > custom code > custom css.
.widget_text {
font-size: 18px;
}
Thank you!
Hi vic-2, you can try the suggestion mentioned by simchris, or you can check the rest of the methods I mentioned above (WordPress Import/Export tool and/or copy/paste).
Thank you!
Hi Mick, I’m glad that you managed to resolve the situation!
Have a nice week!
Hi,
Unfortunately, in your situation, it won’t be easy, and most likely you’ll need a developer to update the theme from the old version you are using to the latest version, 12.7.4.
Normally, you should update both the theme and the theme plugins. In your case, you need to install the following plugins: tagDiv Composer and tagDiv Standard Pack. If you are using any other theme plugins, those also need to be installed or updated. This can be done from Newspaper > Plugins.
When the theme is updated, it will be replaced with the new version, so all changes made directly to the theme files will be removed. If a child theme is used, it should be disabled and updated to the latest child theme version provided in the theme package from ThemeForest.
If you would like one of our developers to update the theme for you, please contact us at services@tagdiv.com and provide FTP and WP-Admin access. One of our developers will check your setup and let you know if we can help and how much it will cost.
Thank you!
Hi,
Ok, after you open the page with tagDiv Composer and you get to the button section, select it and it will open in the left sidebar the options available on that element -https://prnt.sc/IyTNQhbnhsM6
Thank you!
Hi,
Unfortunately, I do not know this, it was only a suggestion for a possible solution I provided in response to your request. We do not know whether those are working correctly with the theme, how they work, or how to provide support for them.
Hi,
This can be done only on the Newspaper theme using the mobile page template -> https://forum.tagdiv.com/topic/litespeed-plugins/
When using this, ensure you use a cache plugin that supports separate mobile and desktop caches.
Thank you!
Hi,
Ok, so I just rechecked using the browser as in your video, and the mobile menu seems to be working correctly on the entire website, except the posts. When you are on a post, it no longer works.
From what I see on the source page on any page the module for menu is loaded in the page – https://prnt.sc/ub-jGK0hdFxY but not on posts https://prnt.sc/LKgcSkaIIZn5 so one possibility is to have a different header on the single post template, another possibility is to have something in the single post template that is blocking the mobile modla to load.
Hi,
The duplicator is the best when is coming to moving the webiste exact as it is on staging, but if you want to move only some pages or cloud templates, then you can use the copy and paste method
For the copy-paste method, go to Newspaper > Cloud Templates on the main domain. For example, if you want to copy a header, edit it, hover over the three dots, and click Edit: https://i.imgur.com/FUHR4iN.png
If you only need the Cloud Templates and want to import everything related to them, the best solution is to use the WordPress Import/Export tool and export only the Cloud Templates.
Thank you!
I see, unfortunately, we do not have an album element, but maybe you can use something like a Gallery? If so, then it can be achieved by using the gallery option from the posts settings – https://prnt.sc/jq6pfLAm9FAi, then on the single post template edit with tagDiv Composer and add the gallery element – https://prnt.sc/QBFucMiOvJ0i – https://prnt.sc/Poh4o7S-EFkP – https://prnt.sc/-eEtWwX6aJUY
Now, the next step is to create a module that will display the gallery in flex block builder, similar as on single post template in the module, add the gallery element and set it as you like to be displayed https://prnt.sc/E1gZ2eVeOX-y
