If you are using Cloud library templates you will need to edit this file: wp-content/plugins/td-cloud-library/shortcodes/single/tdb_single_comments.php

If you do not use a cloud library template then you could use a child theme for this.

But if your setting is overwriten it should be because of the first option presented here.

Can you please provide an example of what code do you have or what timer you want to insert ? If it is a shortcode from a plugin you can use column text element from tagDiv Composer.
