Those pages seem not to come from Newspaper Theme. They seem to be created by a plugin. Please make sure that you do not have a plugin conflict, please deactivate ALL plugins except tagDiv ones, also if you are using child theme or cache plugin, deactivate them, clear all cache and try again.
You can remove them. They don’t seem to render anything.

No. Newspaper theme has been designed as a Newspaper / Magazine theme. It is woocommerce compatible but it has no demos in this matter.

You can achieve this only by using a Cloud library post template, There you have the Featured image element that is fully editable using tagDiv Composer as you can see here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=I1R3j1QYod0

Unfortunately Newspaper Theme does not have this option. You will have to look for a 3rd party plugin. Unfortunately we haven’t tested any so we cannot recommend one.
