The link you have sent it to me is the normal link, if you want to have a preview of your AMP version you have to apply /?amp to your link.

The best way to update the Newspaper Theme is to delete the current Newspaper Theme version and TagDiv Plugins and after that you can install the new version.

Also please note that there could be the chance to do some design work in order to adapt the old version to the new one.
