Please send us a screenshot of your System Status Tab and make sure that all the requirements are met as you can see here: https://forum.tagdiv.com/requirements-for-newspaper/ ; You will have to first start looking for a plugin conflict. please deactivate ALL plugins except tagDiv ones, also if you are using child theme or cache plugin, deactivate them, clear all cache and try again.
Also you can try and remove and re-install the tagDiv Composer plugin and please send us a link to your website in order to take a look.

The latest articles option and related posts come from WordPress not from Newspaper Theme. You can disable it from here as you can see: https://www.screencast.com/t/uzXRgXTiHlH You can disable that and replace it with a Flex block that has more editing options.

Unfortunately this seems to be a plugin conflict. Please note that WP External Links is not a teste plugin, the list of tested plugins can be found in here: https://www.screencast.com/t/nFD69lSPbfj
What you might try is to reinstall the WP external links in order to see if it re-writes over tagDiv Composer.
