Colleagues: I’m trying to rearrange blocks on a page. I’ve never had any difficulty doing so over the past 2 years. All of a sudden, the new blocks I add do not appear on my page (home). I’m saving data in the blocks and updating the page in every instance.

I’m stumped. Anyone have any ideas. Thanks. tom

Hi Bogdan: Our Server Admin has done some extensive work today and we’d like to share the results with you since ongoing Support is critical for us. While his testing was expansive, the bottom line is that your IP Address is not blocked and Romania is not blocked. Perhaps it would be advisable for him to establish a dialogue with you directly via eMail so you can review his results? Please confirm/provide eMaill address if OK.

Hello,

It seems the demo style changes the css of this element. You will have to use css in your theme panel-> custom css box to change the color. Here is the code needed:
.td-footer-wrapper div .td_block_template_4 .td-block-title > *{
background-color: #b50f0f;
}

Thank you!

Hi,

I do not understand exactly what you are trying to achieve. For example you can have a subtitle for the posts – https://www.screencast.com/t/XMKyQsUGo that displays under the post title in the article page – https://www.screencast.com/t/YXQDCHXS4VP or you can create custom sidebars and use them with the respective posts – https://www.screencast.com/t/wEm45SvUfW6 in which you can use any of the available blocks, or a text block with title like this – https://www.screencast.com/t/A0WiMDbKRUua and style it the way you like.

Thanks

I’m using the your demo website to create my new website.
I can’t find the setting to change the name or title of a block. For example, there are some blocks available on the demo website such as “DON’T MISS”, “LIFESTYLES NEWS”, “HOUSE DESIGN”…

Please show me how to change that and how to link a block to a category or menu.
Thank you.

It is working well except the now the cart block is sort of invisible when you click to expand it.

Well, that’s a huge workaround.
The “Featured” category is not really a category (you even made its tag invisible) : its main intended use is to promote specific articles.
To be honest, is should be included in the theme code not to take this category into consideration in the related posts.
Creating custom related blocks with the desired filter for 300 pages is not really a realistic option 🙁

As for your suggestion to modify the theme files as in https://forum.tagdiv.com/topic/related-articles-3/. This is irrelevant, as I’m not trying to set a specific category, but trying to avoid a category (which is not really one) from being used

Hi,

I have selected Block header style 13 – https://www.screencast.com/t/5mBzOxDdJCL then added a block on a page and entered the required information – https://www.screencast.com/t/4a9kob5lOe and everything is working as intended – https://www.screencast.com/t/2GBksE1x
I do not see any problems with this block header style. If you are experiencing difficulties when using the same settings, maybe you have a plugin or plugins that could be interfering with this since this is working properly. I suggest you try as a test to disable all your plugins except Visual composer, clear any installed caches then try again.

Thanks

Hello,

Sorry but still no go. The site cannot be reached. I have tried from my mobile device using the mobile data so the ISP was different but the site still cannot be reached. You maybe have a country block maybe. We are located in Romania.
Regarding your issue with comments, please disable all plugins except visual composer, clear cache and reset cdn files if you use it. Please also check any custom code you might have added to the theme panel or the theme files. If you use a child theme, please switch to the main theme to make sure it does not affect the proper functionality of the theme.

Thank you!

As I wrote, please on a android phone go to the link I put and add the product in cart.
You see the cart on top left.
Go on the menu and you will the problem.
Impossible to close the menu because the cart block goes on the sign to close.
I suppose you have to define that the menu need to be in top of everything.

Hi,

You could try to follow the suggestion Bogdan provided in a similar topic – https://forum.tagdiv.com/topic/random-related-posts-from-other-categorys/ and use Visual composer on posts to create a block with the desired filters.
Or you can make modifications to the theme files as suggested in this topic – https://forum.tagdiv.com/topic/related-articles-3/ to display posts only from specific categories.

Thanks

Hello WakeUpCallProject,

The date of the bottom section of Big Grid is hidden with a CSS code, and that’s why it will not appears on the frontend. So, if you want to display it, you should use a bit of CSS code to do this. Use the code below and place it in Theme panel->Custom CSS area.

The code is ->

.td-grid-style-1 .td-small-thumb .td-module-meta-info {
display: block!important;
}

The result is -> https://www.screencast.com/t/ucb5yAFu

Thanks for your understanding!

Block Style 13 is not working properly on our test site…it is showing up like style 12.

https://filemakerconnect.com/ look at the block styles…they are set to style 13 but show up like style 12…this may be a bug.

Any assistance with this would be appreciated, this is the first time I have ever asked for help…love your template and will be buying several more copies for clients.

Where would you turn off that “trending now” block all together? Thanks.

For example the mobile plugin could support non https, and support javascript, and various things which AMP does not support, ad units, TagDiv API, speed booster hooks, etc.

The only reason I’m suggesting a single plugin as a solution is because AMP for WP, when used with Automattic’s AMP plugin, can function as both an AMP plugin and the site’s mobile theme.

I can toggle a setting in AMP for WP and it will replace Newspaper with its theme (which is AMP compliant) for any mobile visitor.

That’s what I would envision Newspaper’s implementation to be like: completely transparent to the end user. For normal people who don’t know what AMP is, it would serve as a mobile theme as it does now. For those who want AMP functionality and are willing to live with the limitations it brings, they can flip a switch and everything is instantly AMP’d.

It’s not like the work hasn’t been and isn’t being done by the AMP for WP guys — everything is open source and freely available. It could literally be taken, sprinkled with a little Newspaper magic and be ready to go.

We have confirmed that your IP Address is not blocked. It is on a couple of authoritative Internet blacklists however: https://mxtoolbox.com/SuperTool.aspx?action=blacklist%3a5.2.168.18

Would you please try to access this Page again: https://www.bizcatalyst360.com/author/kathleenokeefekanavos/ If successful, we would appreciate your response to our Issue mentioned above. If not, are you able to at least access our Home Page? https://www.bizcatalyst360.com/

Hello

I use an extension Woo Floating Cart but it appears on the mobile menu.

To test add some products to the cart for example here:
http://www.virtualmagie.com/boutique/tours/inv3rsion-pierre-boc-yves-meret/

How I could achieve that this block cart be under the menu?

Got it. The problems is that you are loading the translations from HTTP and the browser is blocking mixed content.

So it’s a bug on 7.8. Translation loading is not working if WP is in HTTPS

SOrry Catalin but you will see nothing, because I have removed the block (block 14) that was only showing a large blank space instead of his original layout.

Before the update it was a block 14 just like in the demo site with a dark background…

Hi team,

Sorry for disturbing.

Yesterday we installed a Pro version of a famous “All In One SEO Pack Pro” plugin.

And have a little problem with Featured videos, we mean these ones – https://sport-tek.ru/slajd-shou-8-den-zashhity-detej-v-ooo-gazpromtrans-5-iyunya-2010-g/ – the video sitemap doesn’t see them.

Plugin developers send a question to you:

Themes should use the WordPress oEmbed method but if this theme is doing something different then we’d need to know what they are doing so we can scan for that. Who is the developer of that theme and can you find our from them how they embed YouTube videos?

Whould you be so kind to reply?

Many thanks!

Igor

Hi,

This could be caused by a plugin maybe, or custom code entered in theme panel or added to the theme files. You could try as a test to disable all your plugins except Visual composer, clear any caching installed and check to see if the problem is fixed. Also go over any custom code you may have used. If you can not find the source of this issue you could try this code for a quick fix – https://www.screencast.com/t/OVgSvguWra9khttps://www.screencast.com/t/enik2Hil8wfs

.td_block_template_9
.td-block-title {
margin-top: 0;
}

Thanks

Hi,

It seems there is a problem with the breadcrumbs not displaying on the post page in this particular demo, and this combined with some header style is causing this issue. I have added this on our fix list and it will get resolved as soon as possible. Please try and use the code provided below as a quick fix for you to use in the meantime, with this result – https://www.screencast.com/t/lfHHGhBGb3jc

.td-blog-beauty .td-post-template-default
.td-crumb-container {
display: block;
}

The code must be entered in Theme panel->Custom Css – https://www.screencast.com/t/Sxtr3nhrnnHd
Thank you for understanding!

Hi,

Please provide more information as to where you want to make these changes. If these are blocks on your pages you can modify them by following this guide – https://forum.tagdiv.com/block-settings-guide/ If they are widgets on your sidebar or in the footer you can edit them in the widgets section – https://www.screencast.com/t/BIv0w4RwMk
Also some theme elements can be translated in Theme panel->Translations – https://www.screencast.com/t/myLeEkwrCW

Thanks

Hi.
I am using newsmag.
When using block16, only 3 or 5 columns are supported at present.
I would like to use it as 4 columns.

What files or methods should I modify?
