I have one more query. I wanted to make some changes to a particular block but I don’t want to change the original block. I would like to save the block with a new name and make changes in the new block. Can you guide me on how I can add a new block, create the shortcode and register the block?

FIXED: I’ve cloned the homepage to see, surprise surprise, it works perfectly if its not set as homepage. Then I thought that it might be some sort of ad or something, so I paused adblocker and BOOM! there it was, on pc also.

Turns out that Google Adsense decided to place a “Blank Add” right in the middle of my freaking Block. That was the issue… Stupid Adsense.

Also, if I duplicate the block (the same block) and move it down the page, it works without a problem… this is driving me crazy!!!

No matter if I choose another block (block 2 for example) and it doesn’t matter what settings do I use, I still have that white gap there.

Is there something I can do??

for #2, I’m trying to set the same color to everything on the page, visual edit isn’t letting me change the color for the “latest articles” and down. There is not an ideal image size for all thumbs, and a way to find what image will fit best would be to do some tests depending what blocks/modules you use most add an image more nearest with aspect ratio of the thumbs in which you want it to look well. I also would like to ask you further… how to decrease the font size of the title in block 13 coz now it’s too large, so it has two lines which the title space eats into featured image too much – nearly half of the photo.

By default the theme display in blocks posts from default wp post type and assigned to default wp taxonomies. At the moment we don’t have a filter which allows the user to filter posts by custom taxonomies, only by custom post types. Usually a custom taxonomy it is assigned to a custom post type, that also happens if you’re using our plugin td-custom-post-type plugin. So basically to avoid posts from a custom taxonomy being displayed in a block you can remove the post type from query.
You can customize the query for block by editing the td_data_source.php file: http://screencast.com/t/jkYWSL90YhKY Please consider that this is a complex task which requires lots of customiations and good coding skills in order to be achieved. We can’t offer customization services at the moment so if you still need guidance on this or you’re not aware of the steps you need to take in this regard please consider hiring a developer or a freelancer to do this for you.
