Hello,

So, yes, you can use the tabbed content to achieve your desired design. For the counter of the posts, you need to add an extra class on the blocks -> https://i.imgur.com/cOABEZT.png and use this code css-> .td-numbered-post-flex .td_block_inner {
counter-reset: section;
}
.td-numbered-post-flex .td_block_inner .td_module_flex_1::before {
counter-increment: section;
content: counter(section);
color: red;
border-radius: 50%;
font-family: Playfair Display;
font-weight: 600;
font-size: 40px;
display: inline-flex;
position: absolute;
margin: 0 20px 0 0;
}

You can set the code in Raw CSS and adjust it.

Thank you!

Hello,

So, the post is not displayed on the homepage? Is the post displayed after creating a new one in the same category? Please provide a title of te post that is not displayed.
Also, please edit with tagDiv Composer -> https://i.imgur.com/j8YvKks.png click on the block and remove the offset -> https://i.imgur.com/dJ0iFQu.png let that field empty.

Thank you!

Hi,

For the category template, if you have set a posts loop then will display all posts in this category or you can use Flex Block/Big Grid Flex and set the filter to “Category -Current category” => https://i.imgur.com/7P99qx0.png and this is why the block will display posts for each category. So, pleased check the settings.

Thank you!

Hi,

A workaround could be to use a Post ID filter from the tab Filter from the element’s settings, and the articles will always be the same.
Documentation here: https://forum.tagdiv.com/flex-block-settings-guide/-> https://forum.tagdiv.com/big-grid-flex-settings/

Hello,

I noticed a problem with flex block 1 when used to display related artciles. This is what happens:

In the related articles section that I have created using the flex block 1 shortcode, if the length of all the article titles do not match (e.g.- one article title is taking three lines while others are taking only two), it creates an empty space within the block and one article is pushed down. Here’s the video.

When the length is same for all the titles, nothing happens, everything fine. But that is not possible for a website. Title length can differ.

Particularly, this problem arises when I set 3 modules per row and the number of articles is 6. I have not tried other settings because I only and strictly want to display 6 articles with 3 in each row.

Please help resolving the issue.

Thanks

Hi,

In order to make them to look the same size, you’ll need to set an excerpt on title and post content like this -> https://i.imgur.com/o8UQm5B.png
Big Grid Flex Settings -> https://forum.tagdiv.com/big-grid-flex-settings/
Also you can set the excerpt on words or letters from theme panel -> https://i.imgur.com/c7Q8ckX.png
Here is a similar topic -> https://forum.tagdiv.com/topic/flex-block-1-and-same-blocks-height/

Hi, i’m having trouble again setting up images to align at the bottom in the posts blocks.

Here’s how it’s currently setup at the moment. So the text aligns at the top, but the thumbnails don’t at the bottom. An easy fix is to make sure every post title is the same lenght, however I imagine there must be some way to do it, no? I looked everywhere in Tag Div Composer and couldn’t find an option to make the image always align at the bottom. For reference, this is a mockup of what I’m trying to do.

Thanks in advance!

Hello

Since a few days, I have a formatting problem with the Flex Block 1 at the bottom of my home page.
The articles are shifting and I can’t find anything to make them recover correctly (cf screenchsot).
My site : https://byothe.fr

https://ibb.co/JqQXPHB

It should be a 4 x 3 grid not this mess…

Thanks

Hello @f5guru !

That is a block from the homepage, I guess.
We have 3 options for mobile versions that you can use:

1. Responsive version: A responsive version of your website looks similar to the desktop version. TagDiv Composer is used to edit the page. Click on the mobile viewport: https://www.screencast.com/t/XDQJedlggSB. There, you can see your mobile version and edit or adjust the elements to look better.

2. Mobile pages: https://tagdiv.com/newspaper-10-3-7-update-brings-customizable-and-fast-mobile-pages

3. Mobile theme plugin: The Mobile Theme is a performance-optimized theme included in the main Newspaper theme that only loads on mobile devices. It comes with its own templates and designs for pages, posts, categories, etc., so your current templates from the desktop theme will get converted to the mobile theme layout. Please see https://forum.tagdiv.com/the-mobile-theme/ and https://forum.tagdiv.com/mobile-theme-introduction/ for more information.

A full explanation is here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SpGkOnJeNZY

Unfortunately, you cannot customize the elements with the TagDiv Composer if you use the Mobile theme plugin. Maybe with a custom CSS: https://forum.tagdiv.com/create-custom-code-using-the-browsers-inspector/
If you want to use the responsive version or a mobile page as described above at points 1 and 2, then you need to uninstall the Mobile theme plugin.

Hello,

You can use the tabbed content element -> https://forum.tagdiv.com/use-tabbed-content-shortcode/, and you can set the separator from the block -> https://i.imgur.com/Utwkimr.jpg

Hello,

Is there a way to change the order of items in the mobile theme? Right now, it’s breadcrumbs (I’ve disabled it on my site), category blocks, title, subtitle, author, image, share, article.

I’d like it so image is the first thing that appears, then title, subtitle, author, category block, share, article.

Here is the link: https://collegefootballnetwork.com/top-tight-ends-impact-true-freshman-2023/?amp=1

I imagine I would need to edit the actual theme file but don’t know where to find it.

Thanks!

Actually, never mind. I just found the solution down further in the Social Media Icons block … the “Custom Social Icon” option.

Still, I would highly recommend adding Google as an option in the normal social media icons options. It’s very important for publishers.

Hi TagDiv team. Nearly all publications are now publishing their content through Google Publisher Center / Google News. We actually have followers now on Google News.

We’d like to add Google News to the social media icons at the top of our website … just the Google icon and a URL would be great. But that option is not available in the Social Icons block in the TagDiv editor.

Here’s the link to our site: https://myneworleans.com/

And here’s the link to our property on Google News: https://news.google.com/publications/CAAqBwgKMPW5tgswgtXNAw?ceid=US:en&oc=3

This is an important addition that nearly all publishers would want and need. And you can see that it functions like a social media property in that we actually have followers. 🙂

Thanks in advance for any ideas … and I’m hoping you can include this in an upcoming update to the Newspaper theme / TagDiv editor.

Cheers!

It’s working now though logo isn’t showing with the capture

Also, it seems something is blocking my site from getting crawled in the theme but I have searched and couldn’t find anything

Hello,

Yes, you can import a block for this -> https://demo.tagdiv.com/newspaper_metropolitan_pro/hero/ or you can create one -> https://i.imgur.com/k77QyZO.png

Okay, this is very hard to explain, but I will try.

With the Newspaper theme enabled, when someone accessed my site from Chrome on a desktop they would be brought to a bogus “bot checker” and a popup would appear asking the user to allow or block. If you try to do either, eventually you end up on adult websites.

I contacted my host and they saw the same issue, so they ran a malware scan that turned up nothing.

So then I thought it might be a plugin, so I turned off all my plugins, including all the TagDiv plugins. Same issue occurred.

Finally, I changed theme entirely, going with the generic 2023 theme. Obviously with all the TagDiv coding, the site looked broken, but the links all still worked. I could NOT replicate the issue when the Newspaper theme was not active.

My website is GoingFor2.com. I will put the Newspaper theme back on so that you can see the issue. It seems to only happen in chrome on desktop. My main browser is Safari, and it seems to work fine on Safari.

Is there a way to add a flex block to a sidebar so it goes to all pages/posts?
I followed the tutorial: https://forum.tagdiv.com/sidebars-tutorial/
Added a Sidebar widget to my page/post templates but how do I add actual flex blocks on it?
I can see there are widgets called [tagDiv] Block 1 through 25 but those don’t have as many options as the flex blocks, for example there is no option to change the image size or add padding.

Hi,

Thanks for your reply, i tried it without working.

I made it with one post times ago, the button is centered, but there is an option i don’t have on other posts :
https://snipboard.io/T3kwRY.jpg

I don’t see this option anymore, just the block option :
https://snipboard.io/ByqsC2.jpg

For both, it is centered from dashboard, but only the first is centered after publishing.

Thanks again for your help

Hello Chris,

WeChat can be implemented only with custom work https://tagdiv.com/premium-customization-services/.
Yes, you can change the post type on the blocks https://i.imgur.com/Yro84v0.png also, you can change the plugin -> https://forum.tagdiv.com/edit-modules-flex-block-x/ -> https://forum.tagdiv.com/filters-sorting-taxonomies/

Thank you!
