Hi there, I am trying to figure out the best way of having the ability to use the Big Grid Flex 5 and have the ability to ‘Pin’ the top story to the left block. For example, on a new site, if there is a significant story it needs to stay in that location (the large left block) when more stories are added. Ideally, it would be great if the left block can be one category, and the right 4 blocks are another. For example, the left block and be categorized as ‘top news’ and ‘news’ then when it is no longer relevant the ‘top news’ category can be removed and the main block goes back to normal.
I hope this makes sense and that you can make a suggestion as to how this would work.
Thanks
Hey.
Unfortunatly on this website the custom fonts aren’t displayed correctly, for example at the “Blocks/Widgets Title” at the “Article Title” or in the Modules.
Thanks

Hi. I updated to version 9.7.3, but I can not add widgets areas from tagdiv. Even disappear if I make some adjustment to the look and feel of the home of the site, and I had to restore a previous copy. My attachment one shows how the widget is now displayed with the update, the second attachment indicates that I see that strange black icon that I had not seen before. In addition, the block to add widgets is not listed in tagdiv elements. Could you please help me? Thank you.
Hi,
Indeed there are some indicate for eliminate render-blocking resources, but there are others elements that are slowing the mobile version -> https://www.screencast.com/t/PoWGrURa7W
Thank you!
Hi,
Each block have a specific thumb size
-> Theme thumbs – https://forum.tagdiv.com/theme-thumbs/ so the theme will generate for each thumb you have enable in theme panel one image with that size; if you chose to use the flex blocks you can chose the thumb size you want to show – https://www.screencast.com/t/I85bMjNJZ3
Thank you!
Hello !
Sure ! For the comment counter and also the Show Author Name you will have to go into Theme Panel – Block Settings – Meta info on Modules / Blocks and deactivate them: https://www.screencast.com/t/lHs6nmnQ
Thank you !
Is it possible to change the display size of the images in the blocks? Now I use 300 * 225 for my display pictures on the blog. But the Newspaper theme cropped the pictures in other dimensions.
When I set a post template why does it only bring the header to the post? I cannot find a way to add the single post content style to the body of my post as seen in tagDiv Composer:

I am using the new WordPress block editor to author my posts. Am I missing something here?

Hello !
@Edward is right.
You will have to go into Theme Panel – Block Settings And disable the Show Comment Count.
Thank you !
Hello !
In order to remove the blocks you will have to edit the homepage using the tagDiv Composer and simply click and drag the blocks like here: https://www.screencast.com/t/1g7TbJMEI2Mh
Thank you !
Hi,
You can filter categories and tags -> https://www.screencast.com/t/w7YvyGborNJY
Please check our documentation from here -> https://forum.tagdiv.com/block-settings-guide/
Thank you!
Hi,
Some footer templates have predefined content, this content can’t be edited
– https://forum.tagdiv.com/footer-templates/
– https://forum.tagdiv.com/topic/how-to-modify-the-elements-of-a-footer-template/
1. The editor picks is a block sorted by featured, so if there are no posts in the featured category, it will be empty – https://forum.tagdiv.com/featured-posts-2/
2. Seems to work fine – http://prntscr.com/nzxzub Maybe try to clear the cache, and force refresh the page where you are checking in (Ctrl+Shift+R).
3. Works on my end – http://prntscr.com/nzy11t As long as the theme panel saves the setting it should appear in the website.
As a note, if the WPML plugin is active, the theme panel translations will not work
– https://forum.tagdiv.com/using-theme-translations-together-wpml/
Some helpful topics here – https://forum.tagdiv.com/topic/wpml-footer-and-block-translations/
– https://forum.tagdiv.com/topic/footer-translate/
You can set widgets to display by language, instead of translating them. You can even set footer pages that will switch when the language is changed

Hi,
The modules don’t show a view count, only a comment count – http://prntscr.com/nzxsd6 The view count is displayed only in the post page. From what I know there a view count may be added in the future, either for all blocks in the theme panel, or just for flex blocks in the composer.
Only through code modifications will the modules display a view count, but after the 9.7 update it will have to be made directly in the main files, as with a child theme it won’t work anymore – https://forum.tagdiv.com/topic/how-to-show-postviews-instead-og-commentcount-on-frontpage/
Thanks
Hi,
I see it there as well, it is below the content for some reason. Did you maybe make modifications to the post template files? Try setting a different post template to see if the same happens. The sidebar container should be part of the same general container with the post content, but from what I can see it is below it.
If you did not modify the files, try setting a different sidebar. Use a simple sidebar with a block in it for example. If the problem remains, we could take a closer look at it.

Hi,
Sometimes if the theme resources like the stylesheet are slow to load the result may be negative. There is a discussion in this topic – https://forum.tagdiv.com/topic/i-have-two-problems-in-mobile-friendly-test/
Now the same link is mobile friendly – http://prntscr.com/nzwyy7
Only some ads seem to be blocked by the robots file – http://prntscr.com/nzwzfp but that shouldn’t be that much of a problem.
Thanks
Hi,
From what I can see the mobile theme is displayed on desktop as well
– http://prntscr.com/nzvnek
This shouldn’t happen. Please make sure the super cache is set as mentioned in the guide
– https://tagdiv.com/wp-super-cache-plugin-install-and-configure/
Also a theme javascript file as well as some plugin resources provide 403 errors, they seem to be blocked by the server – http://prntscr.com/nzvpbr – http://prntscr.com/nzvrsr
This could happen due to security plugins or security modules on the server. Maybe the hosting provider knows what is causing it.
I would also suggest that you temporarily deactivate all plugins except theme plugins and the cache plugin. Then clear the cache and check if the website is working properly.
Thanks
Hi,
You can set in blocks pages instead of posts -> https://www.screencast.com/t/8WFswFiFhsQq please check our documentation for filters -> https://forum.tagdiv.com/block-settings-guide/
Thank you!
Hi,
If you plan to achieve that layout, please note that you can do that style with Cloud Template Library. As an example, you can load the Block 67 from Cloud Library from here -> https://www.screencast.com/t/N52XSU1C and then, set up that block to a row and for another one, you can set up it but change the image position. -> https://www.screencast.com/t/ayzdGC0C
Thank you!
Hi,
Instead of using that custom css you can try this solution -> https://forum.tagdiv.com/thumbnails-fix-strange-looking-images-on-blocks/
Also if you still want to use that code you need to be more specific, to set the code only on content, not on full site.
Create custom code with the browser’s Inspector or the Live CSS Box -> https://tagdiv.com/how-to-create-custom-code-in-newspaper-theme/
Thank you!
Hi,
Depends on the blocks/modules used. They display different thumb sizes
– https://forum.tagdiv.com/theme-thumbs/
The theme will crop and create multiple thumbnails from the images you set as featured
– https://forum.tagdiv.com/featured-image/
– https://forum.tagdiv.com/thumbnails-vs-featured-image-size/
Maybe try and use different types of blocks, choose the ones that display the thumbnails which are best suited for your images.
In the composer there are also flex blocks and grids, which have options for the images
– http://prntscr.com/nzuite – http://prntscr.com/nzuj2e
If you have more questions let me know.
Thanks
Hi,
Please note that the mobile theme has a different layout than the desktop layout. For more details about the main functionality of Mobile Theme, please check the plugin documentation from here -> https://forum.tagdiv.com/the-mobile-theme/ As a note, the blocks are not rendered in the mobile mode because the Mobile Theme does not recognize the composer shortcodes, sorry!
Thank you!
The footer page can be used if you want to display a page in the footer, instead of a footer template. It will affect the whole website. The predefined footer templates are limited in some ways, so in this case a page designed with the composer for example, can be set to display there.
That depends, for example if the pages contain theme provided elements, like blocks and grids, these should work regardless of the composer used or being active. But if the pages contain specific WPBakery elements like tabs, accordions, masonry grids, these won’t be recognized by the composer. The same would happen if a page contains composer specific elements, and it is edited with WPBakery.
