Hi,
If your settings are not saved, please check this topic -> https://forum.tagdiv.com/topic/tagdiv-composer-does-not-save-only-content-of-homepage/ and try the suggestions. Also, please check the cache, and clear/purge all cache.
Thank you!
Hi there,
I have been struggling for few months now but the website that i built using newsmag wordpress theme is still slow. The website link is https://annals.edu.sg.
I have tried to implement w3 total cache, upgraded server hosting plan, etc and i still think the website is still loading too slow.
Is there any suggestions/ideas to improve the speed? or is there a way to take out some css/js/elements that are not used in the newsmag theme?
Please advise soonest!
Regards,
Frans
Hello @anamaria, thanks for your help.
The video thumbnails are not being displayed even if I disable Lite Speed cache.
I don’t wish to delete any cache file, as I guess these files are essential for speed.
Perhaps you could have a closer look at the code, let’s take this index for example : https://econoflash.com/category/definitions-economiques-simplifiees/lexique-economique/; as you can see one video thumbnail can be displayed, the other can’t.
There is surely a reason to this, any idea ?
Thanks in advanced.
muslimskeptic.com is the affected website.
I checked the statistics and do see the increase in CPU seconds usage compared to the script executions and after checking through the access logs with live traffic, I noticed that the current theme of the website is generating spontaneous bursts of requests towards the admin-ajax.php script specifically on the home page of the website from various visitors and this immediately spikes the CPU and RAM usage of the server, here is one example from a few minutes ago of such a burst with 20 requests within a couple of seconds:
https://snipboard.io/yCvqfw.jpg
While all of these requests are being processed by the server, other ones get queued for execution, which leads to database queries that generally run in parts of a second to run for several seconds instead and resulting in the very regular slow loading of the website.
I tried looking around the web for a similar problem, however I could not find any additional information and this is likely some bug with the theme version and I would recommend checking this with the theme developers and how these requests can be controlled to avoid such bursts that use up the server resources. I tried to switch the theme version from 12.4 to 12.3.1 but there was no change. There are no conflicts with plugin too. I tried turning on cache as well for each block on tagdiv composer.
Please refer me to the technical team as soon as possible.
Hello,
I disabled the cache plugin, still does not work.
Hi,
Please set it only to /?amp=1 clear the cache and check after.
Thank you!
Hi,
Please do a test using only tagDiv and Yoast plugins without any extra plugins, no cache plugin, and check after.
In case the problem persists only with the theme plugins, then please make a full backup and contact us via email at contact@tagdiv.com and provide wp-admin and cPanel access. We’ll check this problem and see what needs to be done to solve the problem.
Thank you!
I cleared cache and now able to see the exit mobile site button. But when I click it, its still loading amp site.
Hello,
In 2019 thread, the support stated that it’s safe to delete them.
>> The remote cache, log, and demo history could be cleared, make a backup before.
https://forum.tagdiv.com/topic/slow-website-mysql-db-is-over-1-1gb-how-can-i-reduce-the-size/
I have deleted _log and _remote_cache before, and nothing breaks.
That’s why I’m asking how to remove them or make them smaller, because manually deleting them every now and then just doesn’t make sense.
Hi,
Please try to delete the object cache.php file from wp-content and purge the cache after -> https://forum.tagdiv.com/general-options-may-interfere-newspaper-theme/
Also, if you disable the LiteSpeed cache the thumbs are showing?
Thank you!
Hi,
Please make sure that the settings are saved, and please clear the cache a few times.
Thank you!
Hi,
You need to translate the English (original language) header for each language in part – https://i.imgur.com/CDmeHCf.png you should have them for each language cloud template – https://i.imgur.com/4agmUtg.png
A much simpler and faster alternative is to duplicate the cloud template you want to use in another language, edit it and select the desired language – https://i.imgur.com/z1CqgBo.png (edit the name) – https://i.imgur.com/dPX8ROs.png – https://i.imgur.com/Lc81IgP.png This method needs to be used to translate all cloud templates.
The pages are created with tagDiv Composer which is a page builder, when WPML is used it cannot translate everything that was built with the page builder and must be edited for each language separately. Please open the page in the editor and click on translate – https://i.imgur.com/TXH6y1c.png
When you make the corrections, make sure you are on the page with the language you are editing, and if you use the cache, or object cache, please clear it.
Thank you!
Hello,
I have set some YouTube video as featured video for example here : https://econoflash.com/investissement-a-long-terme/ with this setting : https://app.screencast.com/PXMH90DvxI1Ib
Yet the features video is displayed on the posts, but not on index :
Here is the home page https://econoflash.com and a screenshot : https://app.screencast.com/1tKysO1B17E1x.
However, strangely, one video’s thumbnail is corectly displayed on home page : https://app.screencast.com/JBv09IeGMvYzd
Here are my Light Speed cache settings : https://app.screencast.com/2r57pJuvsyHaN.
Do you know what setting I shall implement so that ALL of the videos’s thumbnail are displayed on the index pages ?
Thanks in advanced.
Hello @volvano!
Did you cleared the cache? Try in an incognito window as well. Make sure you do not have the ad block extension.
Thank you!
Hello,
Usually, this happens with cache plugins. If the cache plugin does not have mobile support then the mobile theme version can be delivered instead.
The solution would be to use the recommended WP Super Cache plugin instead and activate these settings (especially the mobile device support): https://forum.tagdiv.com/cache-plugin-install-and-configure/
I hope this helps.
Thank you!
and still problem is here after disable cache plugin!
I try to downgrade version to 12.3 but it’s the same problem!
I’m using child theme but I did not update the child theme!
Hi,
I can’t see the screenshots -> https://i.imgur.com/F0NxQ1T.png
Also, please disable the cache plugin and check after.
Thank you!
Hi,
I see that you manage to make the ads to be displayed – https://i.imgur.com/5NfNylw.png
In your screenshot, the ad is set in the sidebar element, but to have the ad in the sidebar you also need to set it in the Appearance > widgets > sidebar. Also, I see that you are using the mobile theme plugin, please make sure that you are using a cache that has mobile cache support. THe ads for mobile theme need to be set in this place – https://i.imgur.com/5yutZ2H.png
THank you!
Hi,
The problem is caused by a plugin conflict, like autoptimize, please disable and clear the cache and check after.
Thank you!
Hello,
Normally, the plugins should remain installed and active. Our plugins are not set up to deactivate themselves. Make a test and deactivate ALL plugins except tagDiv ones. If you are using a cache plugin, deactivate it and see if the problem goes away.
There are many optimization guides provided by our users here in the forum, some made by us; you could check some of them

Also, pagespeed is not covered by support -> https://forum.tagdiv.com/newspaper-theme-support/
If you use Wp Rocket, you can try to exclude the following files
/jquery-?[0-9.](.*)(.min|.slim|.slim.min)?.js
/jquery-migrate(.min)?.js
/wp-content/plugins/td-composer/legacy/Newspaper/js/tagdiv_theme.min.js
tdBlocksArray

Hi, there.
Thank you very much. I have talked the LSCache developer about it. They told us also to try to deactivate the caching plugin and test if it is appearing.
We did this on a dev site (an up to date clone of our website) and didn’t fixed the comment issue.
Also, I looked for the file specified here: Plugins – they must be deactivated and the file created by them, named “object-cache.php” must be deleted. and we don’t have such a file.
Waiting for your thoughts.
Ciprian
Thank you, I have changed some settings in WP Rocket to reduce the lifespan to 8h and cleared the cached which seems to have solved the issue.
Hello!
Make a test and deactivate ALL plugins except tagDiv ones, also if you are using a cache plugin, deactivate it, clear all cache and try again.
Examine some other potential interfering factors: https://forum.tagdiv.com/general-options-may-interfere-newspaper-theme/
Let me know the results!
Thank you!
Hello @internath !
The tagdiv plugins I meant from above. Deactivate the Autoptimize also, clear all the cache and see the results.
If the issue is not solved after that, then you can add this CSS code in the Live CSS section:
.tdb-drop-down-search { width: 100vw!important;}
Thank you!
I turned off all caches and cleaned it up, but still can see the Sign In link.
I switched off on Theme Panel > Header > Sign In and on Mobile Theme > Header.
