Hello!

Make a test and deactivate ALL plugins except tagDiv ones, also if you are using a cache plugin, deactivate it, clear all cache and try again.
Examine some other potential interfering factors: https://forum.tagdiv.com/general-options-may-interfere-newspaper-theme/

I hope that helps you!

Hello,

You need to select the blocks.
If your settings are not saved, please check this topic -> https://forum.tagdiv.com/topic/tagdiv-composer-does-not-save-only-content-of-homepage/ and try the suggestions. Also, please check the cache, and clear/purge all cache.

Thank you!

Thank you @bettina.

I’ve checked out the links that you have provided me, disabled all plugins, and all caches, and same issue.

We’ve always updated automatically the theme until this time when everything fails, and we won’t like to be forced to do manual updates from now.

Isn’t there any other possibility to detect what is the problem with this update?

Hello @BrinjalCode !

It seems that something in your server settings is blocking the process.
Make a test and deactivate ALL plugins except tagDiv ones, also if you are using a cache plugin, deactivate it, clear all cache and try again.
Examine some other potential interfering factors: https://forum.tagdiv.com/general-options-may-interfere-newspaper-theme/
If that problem is still there, then please execute these steps:
1. deactivate TagDiv Composer & Cloud Library
2. uninstall (delete) TagDiv Composer & Cloud Library
3. clear cache (if a cache plugin is present).
4. install TagDiv Composer & Cloud Library
5. activate TagDiv Composer & Cloud Library
6. clear cache (if a cache plugin is present).

Thank you!

Hello,

I read most of the posts about the Properly Resize Images on Mobile theme issue and still get the error on the google Page Speed Insights page.

Steps to reproduce:

1. I have disabled and then enabled *all* the sizes for thumbnails (and retinas) from the block settings: https://app.screencast.com/uGvyElTKwkycF

2. I cleared the caches.

3. I then regenerated all the thumbnails using the “regenerate thumbnails” plugin, BUT, apparently 265 X 198 and 741 X 486 sizes are not registered, thus not regenerated: https://app.screencast.com/atOIPpPQCsq3J

4. Anyway, I still clear the server caches just in case.

4. Since the 265 X 198 and 741 X 486 are not regenerated, Google Page Speed site give me the properly resize images error: https://app.screencast.com/jXLivMVXY0SRT

Can you please help me fix this error?

Thanks,
Ozgur

Hello @kennethhede!

Please make sure the issue is not from a cache plugin or the browser cache.

Thank you!

Hello,

So, I did a test with your steps; I added the embed code in the shortcode element from Gutenberg, and for me works -> https://i.imgur.com/cWFauVf.png -> https://i.imgur.com/zqbFDnH.png
Maybe the problem is caused by the cache plugin https://i.imgur.com/aUa0OOJ.png. Does this plugin have the option to optimize the css/js?

Thank you!

Hello,

Please let me know if you use Jetpack; if yes, please check this guide https://forum.tagdiv.com/general-options-may-interfere-newspaper-theme/.
Also, I saw that you have an issue, and the mobile version is displayed on the desktop -> https://i.imgur.com/hna3Qmt.jpg.
To solve this, please check if your cache plugin has an option for mobile version https://i.imgur.com/YkuXcG8.pnghttps://i.imgur.com/7WTiZN7.png.
The solution would be to use the recommended WP Super Cache plugin instead and activate these settings (especially the mobile device support): https://forum.tagdiv.com/cache-plugin-install-and-configure/

Hi Anamaria,

where can I set image height and weight?
I have set “thumbs on Modules/Blocks” in Theme Panel –> Block settings. But that is not what you meant, right?

PHP Version 8.0

I am using WP-Optimize plugin for cache and js/css minification

Hi omarnso,
If the problem is related to the theme panel when you click on the save button there is an infinite loading icon, then most probably something is blocking the admin-ajax request, this can be checked using the console.
Also, check to do not have an object cache on the backend -> https://i.imgur.com/0jCU9xc.png -> https://forum.tagdiv.com/general-options-may-interfere-newspaper-theme/

The categories you want to add to the menu can be added from appearance > menu – https://i.imgur.com/Hy7otJu.png and you can set it in the theme from the theme panel > header > menu – https://i.imgur.com/41SUOgm.png

The problem with “HTTP Error 500” can be due to several causes, but first, make sure that all the theme requirements are set as we have in the guide – https://forum.tagdiv.com/newsmag-requirements-for-newsmag/ in special the WP Memory Limit and make sure that this code is also set – https://i.imgur.com/vy5xGW7.png

In case you checked all those and the problems persist, please contact us via email (contact@tagdiv.com). Make a full backup for your website and provide wp-admin and cPanel access via email and provide as many details as you can about the problem.
Thank you!

Hello,

This sounds like a caching issue. You can check if is a plugin conflict by checking only with the theme plugins enabled. But since you say when you are logged was working correctly, then it can also be a cache or object cache https://forum.tagdiv.com/general-options-may-interfere-newspaper-theme/.
Please let me know what plugin for the cache you have and the server.

Thank you!

My site is using Newspaper theme but wont update the ads i’ve added to the site. THe information is there and saved and I can see the ads while logged in. However when I log out the ads disappear and the old ads show up.

I have cleared the cache several times. I have updated my Adsense. I have tried multiple things to fix or get the site to update correctly, but to no affect.

Please advise as soon as possible…

I have also updated to Newspaper 12.2

Hi

Since updating my website to the newest version of the Newspaper theme, I’ve noticed that the tagdiv gallery isn’t showing on my AMP pages. For example https://thecitylane.com/clover-richmond/?amp=1.

I’ve also noticed that when I try to update a plugin, flush my cache, or save a post, when using PHP 8 and 8.1, I get fatal errors. I’ve had to revert back to PHP 7.4.

Could you please look into this.

Thanks,
Paul

Hi,
I try to delete, delete cache and install again, but I can’t instal plugins:
https://prnt.sc/w09XeebpOB9d – this is screen with exact error codes. What I should do?

Bettina, hi!

1) we don’t use jetpack
2) we don’t use buddypress
3) our yoast seo settings https://prnt.sc/a9VfjtTDu-1N
4) .htaccess – there are no prohibitive directives
5) wp-content – we don’t have object-cache.php file
6) we don’t use mod security

List of all our plugins https://prnt.sc/wCDjsQjQ1wNc

Also, we found that all our problems started after the theme was updated to version 12.2

Hi, indeed, twitter requires certain markups to exist in order to function – https://developer.twitter.com/en/docs/twitter-for-websites/cards/guides/getting-started
But the strange thing is that from what I can see, all these are already in the source pages. Can you set the code in robots.txt, if not it is already set.
It also means that if you use a standard post template and the option in the theme panel, even if it is unchecked, it no longer appears, then most of the time the problem is from an object cachehttps://i.imgur.com/95pPehz.png
Thank you!

Anamaria
tagDiv Staff

Hello,

The object cache causes this issue, maybe you have a plugin that creates this one, or you have a plugin cache on the host.
Please check if you have an object cache file stored on your server.
We have a guide on how to check the Object Cache if is applied on the Backend -> https://forum.tagdiv.com/general-options-may-interfere-newspaper-theme/

Thank you!

Hi TagDiv support team

I have a condition where when I make changes to the menu bar, the changes only work on TagDiv NewsPaper, but as soon as I log out and open the homepage or any page, the menu is still the same as I haven’t made any changes to TagDiv, what’s the solution, I’m really confused.

Below I have included 2 screenshots to clarify what I mean so that you can easily understand me

This is the change I made in Menu Bar, and I have saved it already

<p></p><div class=”separator” style=”clear: both; text-align: center;”></div><br /> <p></p>

And then I logged out and see the homepage and this what I get

<div class=”separator” style=”clear: both;”></div>

Notes I don’t use any cache plugin

How to fix this?

It’s so confusing indeed

Thank you very much

Muhamad Nagib
