Hi
I configured the Yoast plugin like it is mentioned and tested with the Twitter card validator to check without results. I wrote to Yoast in WP forum and the answer was:
“After reviewing the code for your site, you are outputting multiple copies of the Twitter tags. This can cause problems when sharing content as Twitter will not always pull the data entered in our plugin.
Please disable plugins or theme functions that add Twitter tags. If you are unsure what is adding the additional tags, please run a conflict check following the steps here: How To Check For Plugin Conflicts”
I disabled all the plugins (this disarmed the whole site) and then I enabled only Visual Composer, because without this the site is useless.
Twitter did not work, did not show image when I publish (is no important the preview). I clean the cache and wait several minutes. I re-cleaned the cache, in this way some times.
With this I saw that it is not the responsibility of another plugin, although it could be a “clash” of plugins trying to do the same.
That’s why I decided to write to you again.
It is no longer YOAST SEO or another plugin, and there is something in the template or visual composer that I do not understand what it is.
I need your help again.
Helps to use PHP 5.6 and higher which has opcache built in as good starting point.
WP SuperCache works well for most because you’re loading static pages, which is preferred by “most” hosts as if you have 1,000 domains on a box, if they all use too much memory, not enough memory to run all the sites.
If you have your own server, consider using Varnish;
OR: also nextgen tech like https + PHP 7 + http/2 is the “new way to fly” as the entire page is compressed into one packet, not a bunch of pieces, and THAT gets cached by server.
The main issue with CPU, is to switch to using TD Composer vs Visual Composer. Seriously.
Hello balipuspanewscom,
I have inspected your website and I saw that you have a problem with your links. I have made some deeper investigations on my end and I did not saw any problem with this section. The issue seems to come from your end. First of all, try to disable all of the untested plugins, leave just only the required plugins to active, clear all the caches and check the results. Also, if the problem is still there, you should make a full backup to your database and then make a new clean install from scratch via FTP way because this is the surest way in this regard, sorry!
Thanks for your understanding!
Hi Bogdan,
I have disabled all plugins and cleared my cache, but the subfooter still didn’t come back. Is there anything else I can try that will bring it back? I had an important sub-menu in the sub-footer, which is currently not displaying at all.
Thanks,
Dave
Hello Votac,
Try to clear all the browsing data of your browser, clear all the caches and check the results. Until now, we do not receive any bad reports in this regard.
Thanks for the message!
Hi,
You can try it and see if everything is working properly. It could work or it may not, you could search here on the forum if other users have problems using it.
The recommended caching plugin is the WP Super Cache with this configuration
– https://forum.tagdiv.com/cache-plugin-install-and-configure/
Thanks
Hi,
It should work properly if you are using the latest version from the theme package. There was and issue with the previous version of the social counter plugin, that prevented getting the token. You can try to request the token using a different browser, or clear the cache on the browser you are using now and try again
– https://forum.tagdiv.com/topic/facebook-app-just-sits-waiting-for-auth-on-follow-widget/
Or try the solution suggested in this topic to manually receive the token and paste it in the required field of the social counter
– https://forum.tagdiv.com/topic/big-grid-9drop-downs-not-working-properly/
Thanks
Hello DSLRMZ,
First of all, please ensure that you are using the latest theme version and then, check your plugins list and if you are using some untested plugins, you should remove all of them because one of them might interact with the theme core files and causes a lot of unknown issues, like this. After this, if the problem is still there, I suggest you make a new clean install from scratch via FTP way and install only the required plugins, clear all the caches and check the results. Also, if you will need more assistance in this regard, you should provide your website URL for further investigations.
Hope this helps and let us know how it goes!
Thanks for the message!
I have searched the forum for memcached to see what solutions different people have come up with. I can’t say I found any one in particular specific enough to use. In addition some of the solutions are more than 6 months old and in the time of technology that is too long. New versions of everything are already on the market.
Best as I can tell, WP SuperCache is part of the problem because it stores to disk vs using RAM memory.
There is a recommendation to use this plugin for memcached
https://wordpress.org/plugins/memcached/
W3 Total Cache I’m being told is a better solution, but not supported by the Newspaper theme.
We are WordPress 4.8, Newspaper Theme Version 8.0, and WP SuperCache Version 1.4.9
Thank you for your comments and feedback.
Hello,
Does this cache plugin work well with the theme ?
https://wp-rocket.me/
Thanks
Catalin,
I think what you meant was the old widget would be moved to the inactive area.
It is not a case for my situation,
In my case, i tried to add the new widget to sidebar, everything was ok, press save button and it saved as usual, but if i exist and come back then all the new widgets disappear.
I thought i may be caches, but tried to clear cache and use different browser doesn’t help. No problem with adding widget in ver 7.8.1.
Help please!
Thanks
Hi Catalin.
We’ve have tried this with the cache emptied. Finally, it seems that the font size worked with:
/* big grid font size */
.td_block_big_grid_4 {
font-size: 16px;
font-weight: 300;
}
However not the font-weight property. Do you know why? Thank you.
Hi,
Please go into the plugins section, and deactivate the tagDiv composer plugin. This editor is activated by default the moment you update the theme.
It may have some influence on pages created in Visual composer simply by being active. Try this suggestion and then check if the images display properly. Maybe clear your cache after deactivating the plugin.
Here you can find more about the new tagDiv front-end composer, and useful information
– https://forum.tagdiv.com/tagdiv-composer-tutorial/
– https://forum.tagdiv.com/visual-composer-tagdiv-composer-transition/
Visual composer is still part of the package, and can still be used. But it is worth mentioning that in future updates, more options and features will be added exclusively for the tagDiv composer.
Thanks
Hello,
The sub-footer shows up as expected in footer style 10 on our end.
This could be a plugin conflict so please disable all plugins except the page builder, clear cache and reset cdn files if you use it. Please also check any custom code you might have added to the theme panel or the theme files. If you use a child theme, please switch to the main theme to make sure it does not affect the proper functionality of the theme.
Thank you!
Hi Authors,
Just upgrade to version 8 and tried to create some widgets on sidebar but it doesn’t save at all, use different browser, clear caches but nothing work. Maybe a bug in ver8, previous in 7.8.1 it doesn’t have this problem.
Help please!
Hello Inma,
Unfortunately, the W3 Total Cache not working as properly with our theme, sorry! Our tested caching plugin is WP Super Cache and if you want to achieve best theme results you should use it, according to with our documentation here -> https://forum.tagdiv.com/cache-plugin-install-and-configure/
Thanks for your understanding!
Hi, I use W3 Total Cache on mi web (www.lasacristiadelcaminante.com). When I active Page Cache option (screencast1) Ajax post view count dont work correctly.
So I went to Theme panel and active Enable/Disable Ajax post view count option (screencast2) and all works fine except slide module (screencast3 and screencast4). Not show real count number on post.
What can I do?
Thanks.
Thank You For your reply 🙂
It helped A Lot..!! the font wasn’t the problem i found i was using a wrong grid then i used big grid 9 with offset of 4.. and it set up fine..
Then for Mega Menu.. it was a plugin issue with ultimate member plugin when i checked the guide again i saw that some options were missing and UM plugin options were there and i deactivated it and removed the category and cleared the cache and was able to see the previous options and now it’s working fine 🙂
Dear Sir/Madame,
I am facing a theme speed issue after adding custom CSS to my theme, from the theme panel. Initial speed, without the custom CSS, is 94/97 on Speed Insights which is super.
Upon adding the custom CSS I get these 6 strange render-blocking CSS which where not there before:
http://astropaideia.wpengine.com/wp-content/plugins/contact-form-7/includes/css/styles.css?ver=4.8
http://fonts.googleapis.com/css?family=Open+Sans:300,400,600,700|Roboto+Condensed:300,300italic,400,400italic,700,700italic&ver=3.4
http://astropaideia.wpengine.com/wp-content/plugins/jetpack/_inc/genericons/genericons/genericons.css?ver=3.1
http://astropaideia.wpengine.com/wp-content/plugins/jetpack/css/jetpack.css?ver=5.0
http://astropaideia.wpengine.com/wp-content/plugins/js_composer/assets/css/js_composer.min.css?ver=5.1.1
http://astropaideia.wpengine.com/wp-content/themes/Newsmag/style.css?ver=3.4
As a result the website speeds down by 79/91, which is great, but why not speed up more (I mean your theme has amazing speed).
Even if I deactivate all erelevant plugins like Jetpack or Contact Form 7, I still get render 4 blocking sources (which I don’t get without the custom code)
http://fonts.googleapis.com/css?family=Open+Sans:300,400,600,700|Roboto+Condensed:300,300italic,400,400italic,700,700italic&ver=3.4
http://astropaideia.wpengine.com/wp-content/plugins/js_composer/assets/css/js_composer.min.css?ver=5.1.1
http://astropaideia.wpengine.com/wp-content/themes/Newsmag/style.css?ver=3.4
I followed your instructions here but I cannot seem to find these particular CSS that causes this
https://forum.tagdiv.com/how-to-make-the-site-faster/
Based on your instruction I added to the td-speed-booster.php the following code
//@todo test on newsmag
$this->move_style_to_footer_queue(‘contact-form-7’);
$this->move_style_to_footer_queue(‘jetpack’);
$this->move_style_to_footer_queue(‘js_composer_front’);
$this->move_style_to_footer_queue(‘Newsmag’);
but the issue persists.
Unfortunately I cannot use WP Cache on my server because it does not support the plugin. I can use other 3rd party plugins to optimize (Autoptimize, Above the fold) but that will only take me to 84%.
Any suggestions?
Am I doing something wrong??
My website url is this one:
http://astropaideia.wpengine.com/
Thank you for the great theme,
Dimitris Belegris
Hi,
If it worked in the previous version it should work in the latest one as well. There is no need to activate Visual composer, it is provided pre-activated in the theme package.
In the previous update the new tagDiv composer was introduced
– https://forum.tagdiv.com/tagdiv-composer-tutorial/
More options and features will be made available only for this front-end editor
– https://forum.tagdiv.com/visual-composer-tagdiv-composer-transition/
If you do not want to use the tagDiv composer for your pages, try deactivating it form the plugins section. It is activated by default when you update the theme.
If the issue is still present, also deactivate all your other plugins except Visual composer and clear any installed cache. Then test again.
Thanks
Hello DSLRMZ,
First of all, ensure that your system status is setup according to our documentation here -> https://forum.tagdiv.com/system-status-parameters-guide/ Try to clear all your caches, purge CDN files if you are using the CDN system and check the results.
Thanks for the message!
Hello Toufiq,
I have inspected your website and I did not saw any problems with it. This seems to work as expected. Try to clear all of your caches and check again the results. If you are using the CDN system, you should purge all of the files and check the results.
Thanks for your understanding!
Hello loano1,
Most likely, all of your untested plugins can interact with the TD Composer and causes this errors. Remove all of the untested plugins, leave just TD Composer and required plugins, clear all the caches and check the results.
Thanks for your understanding!
Hello efstraatios,
Ensure that you have right setup the Smart Sidebar according to our documentation and then if you are using some untested plugins, try to disable all of them, leave just only required plugins to be active, clear all the caches and check the results.
Hope this helps and let us know how it goes!
Thanks for the message!
Hello aleksandarcasual,
If you are using the Mobile theme and this will not work as properly, notice that issue happens due to WP Super Cache.
Try to refresh your page and check the results. Clear all your caches after this. Also, try to remove all the server caches and if you do not have any access to do this, you should consult the hosting provider and request this task.
Please notice that the mobile theme makes some troubles due to WP Super Cache plugin. Also, the WP Super Cache plugin is compatible with the mobile devices, but if you are using the Mobile Theme, please notice that you should make some changes for a better working. This could be a problem from wp super cache and not the browser. If you use the plugin, please use this method to fix the issue:
Use this link and add the customization as marked here: https://github.com/Automattic/wp-super-cache/pull/185/files
Edit wp-cache-phase1.php and add the green code from the right column as it shows there. Otherwise, if you do not want to make these changes you should simply disable the mobile theme until the WP Super Cache plugin will be updated.
For more information about our mobile theme, please check here -> https://forum.tagdiv.com/the-mobile-theme/
Hope this helps and let us know how it goes!
Thanks for your understanding!
