Hello!

Our developer investigated this feature, and obviously there is no other bug with it in the latest update of the theme. It is much more sensible if you have or still use a cache plugin. Unfortunately, you can’t collect the old post views. Sorry! That’s why could be some differences between the default meta and our custom meta used for this feature.

Thank you so much for understanding!

Hello @dacorti!

The WordPress.com toolbar option should be there in the Jetpack options.
Make a test and deactivate all plugins except tagDiv ones. Also, if you are using a cache plugin, deactivate it, clear all cache, and try again.

Thank you!

Hi Calin!
Thanks for your reply. I’ve installed WP Fastest Cache.

Hi,

I have the same problem – tagdiv composer button missing – but I can’t find any solutions following the instructions in the link you provided.

My site url is attractiveitaly.com.

I don’t have Yoast SEO, and don’t have BuddyPress. I do have Jetpack, but I can’t see any way to disable the wordpress toolbar as suggested. If I go to Jetpack > Settings > Writing, I don’t see any “Enable the WordPress.com toolbar” module.

Another suggestion is the “Object Cache on Backend”, but in this case too if I go to Hosting settings I don’t see any Object cache to be disabled. I only find the Edge global cache.

Hope you can help me to find a solution.

To optimize my page I use the Perfmatters plugin. My Cache plugin is Breeze by Cloudways.

Apart from giving me a very basic optimization guide, what other help can you give me?

You haven’t told me what to do to crop the featured image. You also don’t tell me about the LCP.

I read your comment.

Hello @trasno!

There is all about the DOM. Which means you need to have less elements into that container or row, as such on that page. I can suggest you only to take care of how many elements you use on that page. You can try to use a cache plugin or a plugin which can minify the page or combine some elements in order to reduce its size.
To increase the page speed you can check these similar topics for more solutions:

Please check the tutorials from those platforms gt metrix and Google Pagespeed Insights and I’m sure you can increase the page speed.
Please note that page speed is not covered by the support team: https://forum.tagdiv.com/newspaper-theme-support/

Do you encounter any errors while importing the sections from the Cloud Library? I’ve tested, and for me, it comes out as it should with all the settings.

Thank you!

Hello,

I use 5 “post loop” block on my category page model.
I choose different options for “Limit post number”, “Offset posts” and a “post type” for any post Loop block.
But on the category pages of my website it’s only the 2 same posts for any block. Why ?
I cleared the url and browser cache. No change.

Hello,
If you want to remove the animation to improve the INP then it will be better to use a cache plugin with CDN and this will provide the needed results (there are cache plugin that will not load that part of website if is not interacting with it, doing this the website will be faster and have better score).
Other alternative is to overwrite the css from the theme to remove the transition time
Thank you!

Hello,
We had a few similar cases and the problem was happening only when the user was not logged in, so the users checked the optimize can cache settings and the problem were resolved.
Do you have this problem when you are logged in? If the problem persist when you are logged in and you agree we can take a closer look, for this will need a temporary wp-admin access that can be provided via email at contact@tagdiv.com
Thank you!

Hi joeyfatstat,
This problem seems to not be related to the theme and more related to cache plugin, please check if the cache and CDN is cleared when you publish or update a post.
F you want you can check some guide – Get almost 100% PageSpeed on Newspaper theme
Thank you!

Hi Bettina,

Indeed, I did remove unused CSS a couple of years ago. Not with a cache plugin but with your inbuilt theme functionallity. However, this functionallity seems not actively used anymore. But to be sure I just run the “Critical CSS Analyser” and then clicked “Remove Generated CSS”. But it did not change anything, the menu and the search icon are both still not clickable. Also the hamburger menu has a menu selected like in your screenshot. Any other idea what could cause this issue?

Thanks!

Dear forum experts,

I am experiencing issues with some of my posts, as their url automatically redirects to the homepage without having a redirect in place via Yoast etc.
This happens occasionally, just recently with a new post
https://www.mundgefuehl.com/valentinstag-rezepte-suesse-und-herzhafte-ideen

The post is shown properly in the side bar of other posts under recent posts, but when clicking on the image, the same redirect to the homepage occurs.

I have already tried clearing the cache, but this did not help.

Many thanks for your support
Betty

@kompic, as you likely know WP Rocket is a premium paid plugin.

One can start having a though that they won’t be able to mass sell their theme if they will start disclosing that in addition to buying the theme and paying to them, you will also have to buy another plugin for speed in order to meet CWV.

That’s why they have a guide for WP Super Cache, Cloudflare, etc plugins that are free and “Optimisation is not covered”.

These guides for free plugins will get your sites to 90+ no problems, I know it as I’ve done it on multiple sites.

But as soon as you have Adsense + any other external code to load java, ads or whatever – it’s basically game over for CWV. You will still be around 90 in the pagespeed test, but won’t actually pass CWV, as it collects real user experience data.

And like you also noticed they use WP Rocket for their demo. One can start thinking that maybe their guides for free plugins don’t actually work?

Maybe this can be asked on some public forum like reddit to get some fresh answers… A shared guide from three years ago from someone else’s website is not really helpful, is it?

Hi,

So you just have ignored the question you were asked and instead of answering, in 2024 you posted someone’s else guide for WP Rocket from 2021. Seriously?

The “How to make your site fast” including WP Super Cache and Cloudflare guides that you provided do not solve Core Web Vitals issues for publishers, when Google Analytics and Adsesne are in use.

You can of course say that the theme optimisation is not covered by support.

It looks like your theme is “Core Web Vitals Ready”, ONLY when external java is not used.

You probably must make it clear to everyone that Analytics and Adsense (and any other external JS) cannot be used in your theme, as it will fail Core Web Vitals.

Hello @sauravchhotu070!

Please access your homepage and click on the green button “Edit with the TagDiv Composer” from the top of the page.
Please reset the permalinks by pressing save changes in Dashboard -> Settings -> Permalinks. Make a test and deactivate ALL plugins except tagDiv ones, also if you are using a cache plugin, deactivate it, clear all cache and try again.

Thank you!

Hi,

Have you checked for a plugin conflict? Please deactivate ALL plugins except tagDiv ones; also, if you are using a child theme or cache plugin, deactivate them, clear all cache, and try again.

Thank you!

Hi All,

I have, like a few others, had issues with saving settings in the Newspaper theme panel.

I’ve tried all the logical suggestions I can see (disabling object cache, turning off modsecurity, checking for admin-ajax access, uninstalling unnecessary plugins).

There’s nothing particularly odd in the console.

I’m out of ideas, anybody have any other suggestions?

Hello David!

Did you use the feature “Remove unused CSS” of a cache plugin?
Click on that hamburger menu and choose a menu in the mobile viewport: https://prnt.sc/KM1WiaiJlPSD

Thank you!

Yes, I cleared ff cache and stuff and it worked out. All good now.
Thanks again

Hello Breinblik,
I just checked the website and now it seems to be ok, maybe the problem appears only when the server is overloaded. What I can suggest is to check the logs, also you can enabled the error log file to see from where to start to investigate.
Also, using a cache plugin and CDN will reduce the server requests and make the website faster –
Thank you!

Hello,

This sounds more like a cache problem or object cache. Please check them.
Please let me know what plugin for the cache you use. Maybe you have the object-cache file. Please check this guide to delete it -> https://forum.tagdiv.com/general-options-may-interfere-newspaper-theme/

Thank you!
