hi, i can’t seem to use jquery in custom code via theme panel.
i’m inserting this code:
$.fn.chunk = function(size) {
var arr = [];
for (var i = 0; i < this.length; i += size) {
arr.push(this.slice(i, i + size));
}
return this.pushStack(arr, "chunk", size);
}
$(".td_module_10").chunk(2).wrap('<div class="chunk-module"></div>');
this code will wrap every two .td_module_10 class to a div class chunk-module.
I just wanna create a wrap on modules so i can do some custom css for mobile optimization such as displaying 2 modules per row like this:
if it doesnt have this wrap in module, it’s hard to control it’s responsiveness in relation to this issue:
https://forum.tagdiv.com/topic/how-to-change-responsive-size-of-module-in-mobile/
as a workaround, i imported a cdn jquery using this code:
it works but it kinda looks messy with the “x” error in theme panel. can you suggest other implementation to use jquery in custom js via theme panel?
Thanks!
Hi,
There should be an alert if something goes wrong with the token. Please make sure you have the correct app key from facebook and try to disable all your plugins except visual composer, clear cache and reset cdn files if you use it. Then try the token again.If you still get the same error, please send us an email at contact@tagdiv.com and provide wp-admin so we can take a look. Also include a link to this topic.
Thank you!
Hi,
If your product page is not loading fully then you might have plugin compatibility issues.
Please try to disable all your plugins, clear cache and reset cdn files.
As for the update: https://forum.tagdiv.com/how-to-update-the-theme-2/
Thanks!
Thanks Chris – it’s these two occurrences of this ‘text/javascript’ script – appears to come from Cloudflare? I’d seen on .org the CF page rules and made those – will try with it off (damn got a great page speed with it on) or research other page rules etc – Thanks so much for guidance – Pat

Update on this: After fiddling with everything I could think of (with help from the fab TagDiv crew), we still couldn’t figure out why the top page was disappearing, but it appeared to have something to do with me having the site on CloudFlare. (Because, yeah, I deactivated CloudFlare, and the comment system worked fine – BUT my site slowed down and had all the problems I had before activating CloudFlare. So I ended up activating it again and had the same comment issue.)
So I tried out some different comment systems, and while checking out Postmatic, I live-chatted with the Postmatic crew (Jason L., who is awesome), and here’s what we did: Activated the Postmatic plugin, then also added another plugin from the Postmatic people called Epoch (solves most comment issues and works with CDN, Cache and SEO). Those two plugins solved the issue. Comments work great (and bonus points that the Postmatic plugin has a cool thing where people can just reply to a comment email and their comment is automatically added to the post) and everything is speedy.
Highly recommend Postmatic and Epoch, as well as the excellent customer support from the Postmatic people.
Hi
I am not sure why you did the migration this way as there is a more simpler method.
First make sure you do a full backup of your current wp-install and database to: https://codex.wordpress.org/WordPress_Backups
Then follow our documentation to update the theme: https://forum.tagdiv.com/newsmag-how-to-update-the-theme/ Make sure that you do a clean update, meaning the we recommend to delete the old theme files, clear all caches, deactivate all others plugins that you have it installed and purge cdn files if you’re using.
Also make sure you update Visual Composer plugin at V 2.3.5 here is our documentation in this regard: https://forum.tagdiv.com/newsmag-how-to-update-visual-composer-plugin/
Thanks!
Hi,
Unfortunately I could not access your website: http://screencast.com/t/Ksi3nHvKfeM8
This type of errors usually occur from plugin conflicts. Please disable all your plugin except visual composer, clear cache and reset cdn files if you use it. If the problem gets resolved when you do this, it means that one of your plugins is not compatible with the theme.
Let us know how it goes.
Thanks.
Ideally your site should only serve one version and that should be the “default” — meaning if without www is how you have it setup in the WordPress settings, and perhaps also in wp-config.php, then that is the only version you should login to for admin stuff due to the way some permissions, ajax, font permissions, etc. work; also if you use any caching/CDN.
Technically
http://sitename.com
http://www.sitename.com
https://sitename.com
would be three different “domains” for some elements of web scripting, CDN, Google, etc.
So, whatever your “canonical” site name is, and whatever preference you have specified in your Google Search Console account — is what you should use for management of your site.
In other words, ideally your site should only “resolve” to either the non-WWW or the WWW version when typed into web browser and not both.
Often this can be setup with your hosting DNS where one is an A name record and the other is a C name record (ask your host about proper setup of which one version you want to “resolve” when typed into web browser).
A little confusing, but perhaps that might help.
Upshot: not theme related, but more DNS/domain related. 🙂
Hello torsten.dreier,
Please ensure that you have used the latest version of the theme (v.6.7) and try to update your Visual Composer to the latest version of this (v.4.11) I suppose this issue to come from your system status. Please try to increase your system status parameters to the high level, according to our documentation here -> https://forum.tagdiv.com/system-status-parameters-guide/
Also please try it without any plugins. Disable all of them except visual composer, clear cache and reset CDN files. If the problem is still there, you can try to switch to a wp default theme and check again to see if it’s a WP problem.
Thank you for your understanding!
Hello Chucho,
Thank you for your suggestion. Usually, this kind of error appears when using CDN or loading fonts from a different source. Please try to use this solution and take a look at this: http://screencast.com/t/AMjW530CSH6 and this: http://screencast.com/t/dLjEUGGwQUZ
The solution to this issue is simple. You will need to add some code to your .htaccess file like this post suggests: https://forum.tagdiv.com/topic/strange-chinese-symbols-replaced-icons-and-arrows/
Hope this helps and let us know how it goes!
Thank you for the message!
Hi,
OK I just disabled ALL plugins except visual composer, cleared my cache, and the same thing is still happening. I am not using a cdn.
Thanks
Hi,
Please try to deactivate all your plugins except visual composer, clear cache and reset cdn files. This could be a plugin conflict.
Let us know how it goes.
Thank you
Hello,
Thank you for your appreciation. Unfortunately your issues are not related to the theme settings.
Our theme does not control neither the permalinks nor the redirects. Permalinks are set form wordpress:
https://codex.wordpress.org/Using_Permalinks and 301 redirects can be done either with plugins or from htaccess.
In any case I have checked your site but could not find the permalink structure you mentioned: http://screencast.com/t/PLkXEkHeJ4U
Every time I access one of your posts, there is no sub-category in the permalink.
We have no reports of permalinks issues with our theme so if this error comes up again, please disable all your plugins except visual composer, clear cache and reset cdn. Also reset your permalinks.
Thank you!
Hi.
I see your featured images on internet explorer not displaying properly, but I also see an altered height of the post template. Please make a back-up of your customization, then remove it and also disable all plugins except visual composer, clear cache and reset cdn files. Revert the theme to it’s defaults then test again.
This is how that particular post template should display by default:
http://demo.tagdiv.com/newspaper/td-post-the-new-screen-savers-the-show-that-launched-video-into-the-stratosphere/
Let us know how it goes.

Hi
I’ve checked your site and the icons are displayed fine now: http://screencast.com/t/kJigtCt8Vx3l If you still have this issue when you’re using cdn please make sure that you have set it up according with our documentation: https://forum.tagdiv.com/cloudflare-cdn/
Thanks!
Hi Carmen,
Well it did work before. But maybe you added a few more plugins that broke it. Please disable all your plugins except visual composer, clear cache and reset cdn files. Then check it again and identify the plugin that breaks it.
Thank you!
Hello applepexky,
I have checked your code and I saw that you have some differences about your code. As you can see in this screenshot here -> http://screencast.com/t/zueHP8G5aI9n appear differences to your quotes. Please copy/paste the code directly from here -> http://webmasters.stackexchange.com/questions/71630/font-blocked-from-loading-by-cross-origin-resource-sharing-policy-no-access-co and not from our forum because the code will be affected and will still do not work. Most of our users that use CDN and have this problem was solved with this workaround. If you do not use CDN file and yet you have this issue with the fonts (Chinese fonts), please check your hosting provider in this regard.
Hope this helps and let us know how it goes!
Thank you for the message!
Hi,
I’m sorry but css will not fix this as the styling is altered. Please remove all the css code from the theme panel, and restore the theme to it’s default state including custom modifications you may have in place. The menu should display properly as seen here: http://demo.tagdiv.com/newspaper/
Your problem originates from either customization or plugins so if the problem is still there after you revert to the theme default, then please disable all plugins except visual composer, clear cache and reset cdn files.
Let us know how it goes.
Thank you!
Hi Andrei,
I have figured out the problem with the search icon. It is because of CDN.
Im using keyCDN and whenever I installed a plugin and activate the CDN, the icons are missing.
Can you please provide a solution to this? I need CDN to run site faster.
Thanks.
Hello,
1) and 2) I’m not sure if these are customization you made or a plugin conflict. There seems to be a line-height issue. If you have changed any line-heights in the font section, please restore them to the default state to see if any affect these elements. If you have not changed the line-height, then please try to disable all plugins except visual composer, clear cache and reset cdn files. Then check your pagination and social icons again.
As for the social counter, this is not a live count. It will update a few times a day to keep server requests to a minimum. It was not created as a live count.
Thank you!
Hello,
This can be caused by either plugins or theme customization. If you have customization done, please make a back-up and revert the theme to it’s default state. If there are no modifications to the theme files, then please disable all plugins except visual composer, clear cache and reset cdn files if you use it. Then check your categories again.
Let us know how it goes.
Thank you!
Hello applepexky,
This issue is known when using CDN or loading fonts from a different source.

Hello,
There seems to be some css there that gets rewritten. The trending now block element does not get the negative margin anymore so it creates a bit of space above the content. Please try to disable all plugins except visual composer, clear cache and reset cdn files if you use it.
Let us know if the problem is still there afterwards.
Thank you!
Hi,
Please check your system status parameters and set them according to this guide: https://forum.tagdiv.com/system-status-parameters-guide/
Also please try it without any plugins. Disable all of them except visual composer, clear cache and reset cdn files.
If the problem is still there, you can try to switch to a wp default theme and check again to see if it’s a WP problem.
Thank you!
Hi,
Please try to disable all your plugins except visual composer, clear cache and reset cdn files if you use it. Then test your videos again. If the problem is still there, then please send us an email at contact@tagdiv.com and provide wp-admin so we can login and inspect this issue.
Thank you!
