Hi I’ve made some progress with this by going away from the Child Theme.
The breadcrumbs look off though https://snipboard.io/do9LUA.jpg and do not look like they are respecting the settings in the Theme Panel: https://snipboard.io/ucJxpg.jpg
Any thoughts?
thanks
Hi Calin,
thanks again – did I understand that correctly: the template files listed are basically unchanged – only the place where they are stored has changed? So I can also use my modified templates in the new child-theme?
Best regards
Eugen

Hi,
Yes, these files are locate in different places now, also you need to change the child theme for this and use the one from Newspaper X package, therefore some of theme need to be set in sub folders, for example the loop-single-5.php and single_template_5.php need to be set in child_theme_name\parts\single\loop-single-5.php -> https://forum.tagdiv.com/the-child-theme-support-tutorial/ in this way the files that you have set in child should apply again.
The version that are working with the child you have are the versions under 9.7.3
Thank you!

When Newspaper theme switched to Cloud Templates it broke my child theme customizations. Specifically I had custom subtitle fields added to the header section. see below for example. How can I fix this using cloud templates?
<header class=”td-post-title”>
<?php echo $td_mod_single->get_category(); ?>
<?php echo $td_mod_single->get_title();?>
<—-Custom code start——>
<?php if (!empty($td_mod_single->td_post_theme_settings[‘td_genetics’])) { ?>
<p class=”td-post-sub-title”><?php echo $td_mod_single->td_post_theme_settings[‘td_genetics’];?></p>
<?php } ?>
<?php if (!empty($td_mod_single->td_post_theme_settings[‘td_breeder’])) { ?>
<p class=”td-post-breeder-header”><?php echo $td_mod_single->td_post_theme_settings[‘td_breeder’];?></p>
<?php } ?>
<—-Custom code End——>
<div class=”td-module-meta-info”>
<?php echo $td_mod_single->get_author();?>
<?php echo $td_mod_single->get_date(false);?>
<?php echo $td_mod_single->get_views();?>
<?php echo $td_mod_single->get_comments();?>
</div>
</header>
Hi Calin,
Thank you for the detailed and helpful answer. I made some changes in the child theme:
loop-single-5.php
single_template_7.php
includes/modules/td_module_2.php
includes/modules/td_module_16.php
parts/header/header-style-8.php
Have these files changed in version 10 or can I apply my changed templates 1:1?
Otherwise, which version would be the last possible to which I can update without having to readjust these files?
Best regards
Eugen
Hi,
For me is look normal -> https://i.imgur.com/ZyOiDZH.png but please make sure that you do not have a plugin conflict, please deactivate ALL plugins except tagDiv Composer, also if you are using child theme or cache plugin, deactivate them, clear all cache and try again.

In order to get Toolset work with Newspaper, I need to setup a child theme where the content is output by the_content() function. The reason is Newspaper theme uses non-standard methods to output post content in its PHP templates (i.e. it does not output the content using the WordPress the_content() function).
I have looked the child theme guide and the files you mention https://forum.tagdiv.com/the-child-theme-support-tutorial/ but I cannot in the single.php file (or any of the other new single-timplates 1-10) figure out which parts to erase and where to insert the_content function. Can you point me to the right direction?
Hi,
For me this is working https://i.imgur.com/VJbc6Fq.png -> https://i.imgur.com/sgvGnJN.png -> https://i.imgur.com/oJbEcqM.png -> https://i.imgur.com/wM8ckzq.png
If think that for you is not working because you are using a child theme, please set the main theme and it should work, if you are using the child theme you need to make the custom post type template and set it in the child.
Thank you!

Hi,
Indeed, the module popup can be achieved only with custom code/work also if the code in not set in a child theme the changes from theme file will be lost when you’ll update the theme.
Thank you!
Hi,
In most cases those are plugin conflicts. Please deactivate ALL plugins except tagDiv Composer, also if you are using child theme or cache plugin, deactivate them, clear all cache and try again.

Hi,
Do you use only the amp or you are using the mobile theme + amp, if you are using the amp with mobile theme, then you need to know that on pages you need to set the content in mobile editor -> https://www.screencast.com/t/ebUIzt4se
If this is not the problem, please deactivate ALL plugins except tagDiv Composer, also if you are using child theme or cache plugin, deactivate them, clear all cache and try again.
If there i still a problem, please provide me link where i can check these problems.
Thank you!
