Hi,
The child theme does not work without a parent theme installed. This is a simple process, just delete the main theme folder from the server and upload the new one. Then activate the child theme. If the child theme is not working properly after the update, you will need to go over the code, because some elements or classes may have been subject to change. More about the theme update here – https://forum.tagdiv.com/how-to-update-the-theme-2/ I can not see the screenshots because there is no link.
Thanks
Hello dobryidesign,
You should try using the code below and place it in Theme panel->Custom CSS area.
The code is ->
.td-grid-style-5 .td-module-thumb a:last-child:before{
display:none!important;
}
The result is here -> https://www.screencast.com/t/UBsxouOlT
Thanks for the message!
Hello,
This could be a plugin conflict so please disable all plugins except visual composer, clear cache and reset cdn files if you use it. Please also check any custom code you might have added to the theme panel or the theme files. If you use a child theme, please switch to the main theme to make sure it does not affect the proper functionality of the theme.
Thank you!
Hi,
I learned in this post how to move the author box in general: https://forum.tagdiv.com/topic/have-3-questions/
Now I have a small follow up question, and that is how to relate this to my child theme. Should I then copy all the post template styles that we are using into my child theme and how could that affect future updates?
Thanks!

Hello mrpis,
Please notice that folder is included in mobile section (mobile theme plugin) as you can see here -> https://www.screencast.com/t/HaZmBqp7 Notice that the mobile them cannot be overwritten in the Child theme, sorry!
Thanks for your understanding!
Hello,
Our theme is compatible with all major browsers as it can be seen on the envato page in the right side: https://www.screencast.com/t/UY8iFvv97
You have errors on your site and that is why it does not display the way it should.
Please disable all plugins except visual composer, clear cache and reset cdn files if you use it. Please also check any custom code you might have added to the theme panel or the theme files. If you use a child theme, please switch to the main theme to make sure it does not affect the proper functionality of the theme.

Hi,
unfortunately updating Newspaper via FTP is pretty simple and straight forward, however, I am using child theme which stops working as soon as I remove the newspaper folder from the server and upload the new one.
Second of all, please check these two screenshots here
in order to see the System Info and that I am missing the Activation Tab for some reason.
Thank you
Hello Mudit,
Unfortunately, the Mobile Theme cannot be overwritten with Child Theme, sorry! Please provide your website URL so I can check your source page and also, so I will be able to provide a more accurate response.
Thanks for your message!
Hello,
thank you very much for this kind of solution. I have tried also the other option I found in the mentioned article as I prefer to make such changes via function.php as I use child theme but I am still unable to get rid off the roboto font for some reason.
https://fonts.googleapis.com/css?family=Play%3A%2C300%2C400%2C700
https://fonts.googleapis.com/css?family=Play%3A400%2C700
https://fonts.googleapis.com/css?family=Roboto:300&lang=en
At the moment I have uncommented only the default fonts used by the theme in td_config.php file but I am not sure why Roboto is still being loaded.
Thank you

Hi,
I am having some troubles to Activate the license.
System Status > Registration key > Your theme is not registered! ( Activate Now )
If I click on the Activate Button I get this error message : Sorry, you are not allowed to access this page.
I was also trying to update the theme manually by uploading it using FTP but my site goes either down or I am having troubles re-activate my child theme but I cannot remember what was the error message while trying to re-active my child theme.
Can you please help me solve this issue as I assume there is an auto update when your product is successfully activated.
Thank you in advance
Hi,
It seems you do not have enough posts to populate more articles. Please make sure you filter the block so it has posts to load. Are you sure the filtering you use on your block provides more than the 10 posts shown now?
If this is not the case please disable all plugins except visual composer, clear cache and reset cdn files if you use it. Please also check any custom code you might have added to the theme panel or the theme files. If you use a child theme, please switch to the main theme to make sure it does not affect the proper functionality of the theme.
Thank you!
hello,
Please switch to a wp default theme to see if the issue is still present. Our theme does not impact the content that can or cannot be inserted into a post. It could also be plugin related so please disable all plugins except visual composer, clear cache and reset cdn files if you use it. Please also check any custom code you might have added to the theme panel or the theme files. If you use a child theme, please switch to the main theme to make sure it does not affect the proper functionality of the theme.
Thank you!
Hello,
You should only disable it as a test to see if it affects the footer or not. Not definitively. If the child theme does not affect the footer then Please contact us on our email address at contact@tagdiv.com and provide a link to your site and wp-admin (login information and admin rights) so we can login and investigate. Please also include a link to this topic so we can trace the email.
Thank you!
Hello Bog, are u fine?
Thank you for your reply.
Look, i tried almost everything that u said, turn off all plugins, cache (cdn i dont use), I dont have custom code and the footer wanst came back, dont show up for us…
About the child theme, we do use it but if i desable then, ill mess the thing up with the website.
Have we another option to work it on?
Thank you.
Hello Gaurav,
Try the code below and place it in Theme panel->Custom CSS area.
.alignleft{
margin-left: 6px!important;
}
.page-template-default .wpb_text_column :last-child{
margin-bottom:6px!important;
}
The result is here -> https://www.screencast.com/t/hznNO0OLmQFe
Thanks for the message!
Hello,
If the footer is on in the theme panel: https://www.screencast.com/t/K50B42eR and it still does not show up, then it could be a plugin that affects the footer.
Please disable all plugins except visual composer, clear cache and reset cdn files if you use it. Please also check any custom code you might have added to the theme panel or the theme files. If you use a child theme, please switch to the main theme to make sure it does not affect the proper functionality of the theme.
Thank you!
I removed the following code from comments.php child theme. Should I remove it from comments.php core?

Hello Bogdan
Thanks for the advice. The thing is, i’ve made just a few changes to Newspaper, some indeed with a child theme, but nothing important at all. Well, perhaps it’s a plugin then …
Anyways, as a temporary solution i’ve deleted the code displaying posts in the 404 template.
Best regards
Hello,
Well since we are not seeing this error on our end and no other user reported such an issue, I think it’s safe to say the error is not in the theme but rather on your end.
Thank you!
Hello,
This could not be a plugin conflict but rather a js optimizatuion/minification The images on your site do not load and the js elements such as the search do not work: https://www.screencast.com/t/WqYlipKJi5v It is clear that a js error is affecting your site.
Please disable all plugins except visual composer, clear cache and reset cdn files if you use it. Please also check any custom code you might have added to the theme panel or the theme files. If you use a child theme, please switch to the main theme to make sure it does not affect the proper functionality of the theme.
Thank you!
Hello,
The translation should work if you load it from the load translation button. Not manual translation though. Please use the guide above and then clear all caching. If the translations do not work on the mobile theme then please disable all plugins except visual composer and the mobile theme, clear cache and reset cdn files if you use it. Please also check any custom code you might have added to the theme panel or the theme files. If you use a child theme, please switch to the main theme to make sure it does not affect the proper functionality of the theme.
Thank you!
Your child theme could not be updated. If you do not use custom modifications to the theme code, then you do not have to use a child theme.
Thank you!
Hi,
It seems there is a thumbnail problem on most of your blocks. If you are using a child theme try switching to the main theme to rule that out, if you have any custom code added in theme panel or the theme files please check that also. Then try regenerating your thumbnails using this tutorial here – https://forum.tagdiv.com/thumbnails-fix-strange-looking-images-on-blocks/ After regenerating clear your cache (very important) and purge cdn files if you use it.
Thanks
