Since I installed a child theme on my website (Newspaper theme), the frontpage doesn’t show the blogs template like I would like to. It now show’s a full image with excerpt and read more button, where I want to have a small image, with title and little excerpt (M16). I’ve set the Blog and posts template on M16, but it will still show the default WordPress blog style for the frontpage. For the categories I can change the template as usual. What happens here?
Hello,
Please make sure all theme requirements are set as in our guide -> https://forum.tagdiv.com/requirements-for-newspaper/ in special please make sure this code is set in .htaccess => https://www.screencast.com/t/D3i2ZA7K
Also, if you are using Cloudflare, please make sure that is set as in our guide https://forum.tagdiv.com/cloudflare-cdn/ , you need to disable the Rocket Loader.
Also, if the problem persists please check if you do not have a plugin conflict, please deactivate ALL plugins except tagDiv plugins, also if you are using a child theme or cache plugin, deactivate them, clear all cache and try again.
Also, what Prebuilt website did you use a pro or a standard?
Let me know the results!
Thank you!
Hello,
You can find the folder of the child theme in this path => Newspaper-tf\code\Newspaper-child also, this is a guide that can help you to create a child theme https://forum.tagdiv.com/the-child-theme-support-tutorial/
Unfortunately, you can’t split the titles.
Hope this helps you!
Thank you!

Hi,
Thanks for the information! So you’re saying that I can’t use the Cloud Library templates in a similar path in my child theme to make edits?
I tried editing the tdb_module_lopp.php directly and did get my rating results to show but it won’t pull in the post id, so it just shows the icons but doesn’t reflect the rating for the post.
Thanks.
Cheryl

A responsive version of your website is looking similar like on desktop, edit the page with TagDiv Composer, click on the mobile viewport: https://www.screencast.com/t/XDQJedlggSB ; there you can see your mobile version and you can edit the elements there. Check if you set up some settings for example the width.

Hi,
Deactivating the plugins did not help, neither did deactivate the child theme, nor did it delete the caches.
Everything looks normal in the composer.
I’ll send you an email with all the details, maybe you can find something.

Thanks for your fast answer
Thomas

Hello,
If you use Cloud Library, these templates can’t be set in child theme. Child Theme uses the standard templates.
For flex Block 1 you can find the files in these paths
wp-content/plugins/td-composer/legacy/Newspaper/includes/modules/td_module_flex_1.php
wp-content/plugins/td-composer/legacy/Newspaper/includes/shortcodes/td_flex_block_1.php and for Posts Loop is wp-content/plugins/td-cloud-library/modules/tdb_module_loop.php tdb_module_loop_2.php
If you use cloud templates and you make changes in the files, the changes will apply on all pages.
Thank you!
