That is what I was trying to say, the elements that are for text will allow you to use the WordPress text editor. In a text element you can also insert images and align them as you wish
https://www.screencast.com/t/M2VaGqdW
Also experiment with elements that can display images, provided by the composer and multi-purpose plugin
https://www.screencast.com/t/3ADEECTmmTs
You could not split the row, use a full row and arrange the text and images as you want in a single text element.

Hi,

You can create that page with the tagDiv composer as well. These are some guides for the composer
https://forum.tagdiv.com/tagdiv-composer-tutorial/
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=C0ARTSimnUY&index=4&list=PL6CsDkMaejhr2ExZCO73U11SSVKB9r_NE&t=25s
You can create many designs for pages, there are many possibilities with the tagDiv composer and additional multi-purpose plugin which extends it.
Some theme demos contain demo “About me” pages, you could check all the available demos here for inspiration
https://demo.tagdiv.com/select_demo/select_demo_newspaper
Or create the design and layout you want, experiment with different elements. Let us know if you need help with something or have more questions.

Thanks

Hi,

I have tried to set a border for the same block, using Visual composer
https://www.screencast.com/t/UMJVENoMKmR
The border appears as I wanted for me
https://www.screencast.com/t/c2tqdfye0p
There should be no problem as long as you set a border size, color and style. The border should appear.

Hello,

you can change the block title colors from the tagdiv composer page builder:
https://www.screencast.com/t/RL6dg8UiM5vd
Unfortunately if you use the wpbakery page builder, the color options for the title are no longer present because of the implementation we made for our own page builder. If this is the case, you can use this css in the theme panel-> custom css box to change colors:

.td_block_template_4 .td-block-title > *{
color:white!important;
background-color:#8224e3 !important
}

Thank you!

Hello guys what should I keep in mind when updating from 6.6 to 8.7? I did some custom coding on home page with Visual Composer, would those changes be lost if I use the new TD composer? This seems like the heaviest change. Anything else I should keep in mind? Thanks!

Hi,

In some cases the solutions from these topics worked for blank pages and other composer problems, you could give them a try if possible
https://forum.tagdiv.com/topic/gray-page-tagdiv/
https://forum.tagdiv.com/topic/javascript-error-td-composer-wont-load/

Hi,

You can build a page normally with the composer elements you want, then set it as shop page in the Woocommerce settings. The theme blocks can display products if needed or you could use woocommerce shortcodes instead. This is a related topic
https://forum.tagdiv.com/topic/how-to-display-products/
The composer does not have dedicated Woocommerce elements at this moment, so the woocommerce shortcodes would probably be the best to use to display products and other Woocommerce elements.
Let us know if you have more questions or you need help with something.

Thanks

So it seems like the COLUMN TEXT element has a wysiwyg editor atached and that was what I was looking for.

If I understand right then you would do the images as SINGLE IMAGE elements and layout them with tagdiv composer, but that actually leaves me with another problem.

Please let me explain. If I want text with in that text 1 RIGHT-aligned image, then the text will flow around the image. You can see that in my linked screenshot above. The image of the children jumping up. Once the image is finished, the text uses the full with again automatically. I have no clue how I should do that then with the composer. the only thing I see is that I could have A column split in 2 (left “column text” and right my “image”), but then the text will always stay in that left column and not automatically continue in full width under the image?

The shortcodes will be visible in the backend, but as you view the page they will be rendered by the composer into elements.
It would be best to design and create the entire page with the composer. Create a page and edit it with the composer and split the rows as you want, there are multiple layouts to choose from
https://www.screencast.com/t/cRDaJoaRmsXm
Then begin dragging elements in the resulting columns. There are text elements in which you can use the WordPress editor
https://www.screencast.com/t/71yvTsZIvZgo
There are elements for almost anything in the composer, so you could build pages using it entirely.

Hello,

You simply need to drag more elements to the row under the ad.
Please read this guide to learn how to use the tagdiv composer: https://forum.tagdiv.com/tagdiv-composer-tutorial/

Thank you!

Hello,

Do you maybe use both plugins at the same time? Pleas do not use both td composer and VC at the same time. Settle on one and disable the other. The 2 plugins conflict with each other and create layout issues especially regarding images.

Thank you!

Hello,

Thank you for your feedback.

1. The amp template was created on the default WordPress structure. If you have altered folders in your install, this can be a consequence of that. Can you provide more examples or more detailed explanations on how you have the folders set up so we can get an idea? If you do not want to share this info publicly here, you can contact us via contact@tagdiv.com
Please note your home url will have to be == to the site URL. The tagdiv composer requires this for proper functionality.
2. Yes there are different thumbnails between amp and the regular page. This is not a bug. For the moment there are no settings to change the thumb used

3. The about us section comes from the footer options of the theme panel under Footer Info content

Thank you!

hi!
Im working with WPbakery (formerly known as Visual Composer). I’m trying to change a ‘Block 2’ style element.
I go to ‘Design Options’ then try to change ‘Border Color’ but it always revert to black. If i try to change the other setting ‘Background’ it works, just the options in ‘Border Color’ change back to default black after pressing ‘Save Changes’.

So are we, we have reinstalled td-composer plugin through the theme panel and tried everything else, and still shows the blank screen with the rotator. This looks like the backend issue for tagdiv to investigate since nothing has changed at our end. We have opened another ticket for footer width and formatting issue, these 2 could be related.

Awaiting tagdiv experts to respond.

Installed Multi-Purpose on my site http://www.BeyondTheTent.com and would like to use it to build a custom shop page with Woo-Commerce. Have disabled all plugins individually, uninstalled and reinstalled MP and still no luck. Any help would be much appreciated. Thanks

1. I have installed the plugin -> https://wordpress.org/plugins/cryptocurrency-price-ticker-widget/
2. Then generated the shortcode: [ccpw id=”698″]
3: Went to the Tagdiv composer, then I selected the column, and under description I pasted [ccpw id=”698″]
4: it returns [ccpw id=”698″] check https://www.shieldtrader.com/

I have created a layout with the tagdiv composer and that layout consists of a row where I have 2 columns. 1 column on the left is 2/3 wide and the right one 1/3

Inside the left 2/3 I want to put text with different font colors, font styles, images with right and center alignment, …

These are things you can easily do in the default editor in WP, but if you create the page with tagdiv composer, then there are codes between [] .

For now I have just entered my info by making myself space the [vc_column_inner] tag and [/vc_column_inner]. I did this by entering a few times and then began to write the text and inserting the images. This seems to work somehow, but is this really the way to go ?

Isn’t there an element which you can insert in that vc_column_inner to get a text box with full wysiwyg editor ?

Thank you for the answer, but It didn’t fix. The site is on a dedicated server. Regarding the server requirements, here is my “equipment”:
– WordPress version: 4.9.5 (recommended: 4.0);
– webserver: Apache (recommended: Apache or Nginx);
– php.ini memory limit: 70MB (recommended: 64M);
– PHP version: 7.0.2 (recommended: PHP 5.4 or greater) (I had 5.6, I’ve changed the PHP version in cPanel to fix this problem, but It didn’t work);
– MySql version: 5.6.38 (recommended: MySQL 5.5 or greater);

WP Super Cache installed.
TagDiv Composer plugin deactivated, deleted, reinstalled and reactivated.
Nothing.
Sorry if I ask help again, but I really can’t understand what’s happening.

P.S., I even added the code you wrote above in .htaccess. Nothing.

It seems like 8.7.3 installs TD Composer 1.0 if there was a previous installation.

For example, if I switch themes to a totally different theme and delete all tagDiv files (themes and plugins), then install 8.7.3, it works (however TD Composer has not yet been installed). Then from Newspaper > Plugins, I install TD Composer

https://www.xyzsite.com/wp-content/themes/Newspaper/includes/plugins/td-composer.zip?uid=xxxxxxxxx

For whatever reason, it installs TD Composer 1.0 and I get the blank screen. HOWEVER, if I manually install TD Composer 2.2 first and then install 8.7.3 (after full tagDiv erase of files), it works.

So there is something strange going on with the auto-install of TD Composer with 8.7.x. I tried deleting the cache, same issue.

Hello libraeditrice,

Please check our theme requirements from here -> https://forum.tagdiv.com/requirements-for-newspaper/
Please also update your tag div composer plugin by deleting the current one you have and installing it again from the 8.7.3 package.
if that does not fix the issue, you can try to add this code to your .htaccess:

<IfModule mod_substitute.c>
SubstituteMaxLineLength 10M
</IfModule>

Thank you!

After months of testing and trying to find out what the problem was I found out how to get the composer back to work: I just simply did reset the theme panel!

Thought I’d put that in here if anybody does face the same problem and can’t find a solution. Try reseting the theme panel first 😉

Hi, I activated the TagDiv Newspaper 8.7 theme on my website but I have some problems with the new Flex Block 1. It doesn’t show the thumb, even if I choose “normal” in TagDiv Composer>Layout>Article image>Image position when I edit the page in the frontend. It just pushes the title of the article 5-10px down when the image position is set to “normal” and the title goes back to its top position when I set the image as “hidden”.

Furthermore, when I set the border in TagDiv Composer>CSS (for example, Border style = Solid, 2 px etc…) It shows the border when TagDiv Composer is opened but It disappear when I close the Composer and I go back to the page.
On localhost It works just fine and I cannot understand what’s happening on the remote server.
On localhost the site runs on Windows and PHP 7.1.7, while on remote server it runs on CentOS and PHP 5.6.
Can you help me? Thank you.

Hi Catalin,

I’ve fixed the issue with the TagDiv Composer error. But of more significance, is the still not functioning adding of blocks to my home page.

Cheers,
Mark
