Hello Mako,
Unfortunately, I do not exactly understand what you mean and what you are referring to. Please notice that our theme does not have any such an option to restrict you some elements, sorry! Notice that you can use TD Composer which is our recommended page builder and Visual Composer which is an optional plugin. First of all, please ensure that you are using the latest theme version, check your system status parameters to be right increased according to our documentation here -> https://forum.tagdiv.com/system-status-parameters-guide/ and then, clear all the caches and check the results.
If is not what you mean, please provide more details so I will be able to provide a more accurate response.
Thanks for your understanding!
Hey check out my SS
I think there was just an update for VC.
Anyone know the fix?
Thanks
Hi Simion,
Thank you for response.
So the only way to use it in TagDiv composer is via HTML block inserting the embed?
There is a little problem with the width though, where in Visual Composer it was auto.
Thank you
Hi there,
I’m having a problem with Visual Composer.
I’m using Macbook Pro with MacOS Sierra 10.12.5.
Suddenly Visual Composer doesn’t show anymore. When I have to edit a page and click on VC the page appears to be empty. The other members of the team do not have the same issue, only me.
I tried to access with Safari, Firefox and Chrome but all give me the same issue.
As I said, that has happened overnight since I never had any problem before.
Do you have any idea what is that cause the problem?
Thanks
Hello,
Thank you for choosing newspaper.
1) Sorry but the blocks will not inherit the category tag color. The category tag color is working exclusively on posts in our theme. The color will only show up on posts like so: https://www.screencast.com/t/j4aBKZlEfg4z
2) Some of the modules have these options hidden as a design choice in order not to crowd up the small thumb. Modules mx25 and mx26 do not have the markup in the code added to them. If you need to activate the date and author on these modules you will have to modify the module files like so:
Copy this code:
<div class="td-module-meta-info">
<?php echo $this->get_author();?>
<?php echo $this->get_date();?>
</div>
And paste it like so: https://www.screencast.com/t/GvqQFZBGYN1
The same goes for module mx 25: https://www.screencast.com/t/3fzttC0lih
3) Thank you for your suggestion. We do plan on adding more and more features to the tagdiv composer. For now you can hide the metas with css for each module in particular. Here is a list of what module is used on which block: https://forum.tagdiv.com/theme-blocks-modules/
4) You can use the translation settings to change the name for theme elements:
https://www.screencast.com/t/O5OUFx0VB simply type the preferred translation in the right column.
Thank you!
Hello Gordon,
In order to make a full width element in the tagdiv composer, you can use the stretch row and content option like so: https://www.screencast.com/t/L3UNx72DeK
If you only want a background around your block, you do it by stretchin only the row and not the content and then adding a background to the row in the css tab:
https://www.screencast.com/t/0Dk025Y18
This guide should help you understand how the block settings work: https://forum.tagdiv.com/block-settings-tutorial/
Thanks.
hi,
1. click on the homepage on “Denali National PArk” and it goes to the detail page which looks to me like a page and not a post. If it should be a post, then how do they insert the Google map as the map insert is only available via the visual composer and that only works for pages.
2. using the hmtl option on the visual composer
4. I tried to recreate it, i must do always the same error as i get the same results.
Hello,
Please disable all other plugins except the tagdiv composer, clear cache and reset cdn files if you use it.
Also if the page you are trying to edit was built with another page builkder (eg visual composer) it can also provide this error. Such pages will have to be recreated from scratch using the tagdiv composer.
Thank you!
Hello,
Yes indeed if you use too many complex elements, the post requests will pile up. In order to reduce the number of post requests, pleas limit the number of different blocks with ajax filters and pagination.
The ‘ajax post views’ option can also increase the number of requests a lot.
Another way to reduce the load on the server is moving to the tagdiv composer and not using Visual composer anymore as it is known to load the server.
Here is another topic on the subject: https://forum.tagdiv.com/topic/admin-ajax-php-bandwidth-hog/
Thank you!
Hi,
All the blocks that you could use in Visual composer are present in the tagDiv composer as well. Other specific Visual composer elements are not present however. The tagDiv composer is not meant to be a copy of Visual composer.
More elements will be added to this front-end editor in future updates exclusively, that is why it is recommended to use tagDiv composer to create your pages
– https://forum.tagdiv.com/visual-composer-tagdiv-composer-transition/
– https://forum.tagdiv.com/tagdiv-composer-tutorial/
Please specify what exactly you have problems with creating your page, and we will try to help you.
Thanks
Hello,
Yes we do plan on including the latest version of visual composer into the next update.
Thanks.
Hi there,
First of all thanks for this great theme. I love it! I am trying to learn it from scratch so I didn’t install any demos yet for the sake of creativity. I use tagdiv Composer which I find great for my kind of work. Naturally I have a couple of questions, if you may answer. 🙂
1- Can I select the category tag colors as hover colors in modules and/or grids? I am trying to get a clear color code for my categories which can be seen here : http://stilltune.com/home/
I added a block with custom title background color for my Music Theory category. It shows up exactly as I want. But as you may notice the Big Grid 9 above inherits the general accent color for categories. Can I show my category tag colors there as hover colors? Because I will have more categories and that Big Grid showing always the same main accent color for hovers would seem a little bit confusing regarding my category color coding. Now I have selected a category tag color for this category too but it doesn’t affect those hovers. It doesn’t even affect that block’s filter choices. I had to enter the block color manually. I guess it only shows up in beside block titles as tag colors, right? I couldn’t see it anywhere else. I found category tag colors a little bit confusing because of this. Maybe a category color concept would be much better? Because main accent color seems to interrupt this color code concept. So what can I do for this? (An example of what I want for that Big Grid can be seen in this demo’s top slider. http://demo.mekshq.com/voice/ Little category tags inherits category tag colors there so that category colors would be consistent everywhere in the theme)
2- Although my Meta Info in Theme Panel/Block Settings/Meta Info on Modules are all open, I cannot see the dates and authors in Module MX26 and MX25 like in a SS you shared in someone else’s forum posts (https://www.screencast.com/t/AQN4wjCydN) Do I need to change something else or add custom css codes for this?
3- I want to see all module names in grids and blocks. Do you have any guide or cheat sheet for them?
Finally one suggestion if I may 🙂
I think Modules and Grids should be edited in detail via tagdiv Composer. I may want to show meta info in one of them but I may not wanna show it in another. But when I select meta info on modules it affects them all. So maybe that edit section of tagdiv composer should be a little bit more detailed. Because otherwise we should enter css manually and the whole concept of “No coding required” is ruined 🙂
Thanks in advance, have a good day
Gökhan

Hi Bogdan, the new release 8.1 will support Visual Composer 5.2?
with td composer not have blocks than visual composer, and the site does not appear than in the your ad without visual composer… here is the scam… you present one theme after which We find that it necessary another plugin, visual composer, because TDCOMPOSER does not create a site as shown in pictures… Deliver a full theme at the full price, and no one can object to anything, but to make the price seem acceptable, you did as quackets…
SOLVED: Installed EasyApache4 with MPM ITK on server. Issue was with mod_ruid2 not accessing session file/data.
Mod_Security wasn’t showing a hit in logs as a it would for a normal hit, rather server wasn’t allowing site to access session data.
Why this anomaly happened only on this individual site, I may never know.
Installing of EasyApache4 with ITK solved the issue.
The mod_ruid2 Apache module changes the permissions of the HTTP requests for a domain to the permissions of the owner of that domain.
Warning:
If you do not select an Apache module that changes the permissions of Apache requests, your Apache web server will run Apache processes as the nobody user, which presents security risks. The following Apache modules also change the permissions of Apache requests:
mpm_itk_module
suexec
mod_suphp

Bogdan: Most of the times, hosting features such as security, caching, optimization is not recommended to be used as they will conflict with WP. Disable any hosting related “features” and install WordPress specific tools to take the hosting solution’s place.
—-/QUOTE——-
As a humble host with many wordpress installs, I strongly disagree with Bogdan. In today’s day and age, you need all the security tools at your diposal.
Wordpress security measures should be used in conjunction with server security measures such as Mod_Security and ConfigServer Firewall.
I do appreciate Bogdan and everyone who contributed to this thread in an effort to help me get tagDiv composer working. Now that I’ve recreated a few Visual Composer pages in tagDiv Composer, I can’t see that I’m any better off. I trust tagDiv’s advice that the transition will pay dividends in the future.
I just hope supporting the new tagDiv Composer plugin doesn’t hinder their effort in providing the best publishing platform WordPress has to offer.

Hi,
And which social icons are you referring to? the footer social icons> or the ones in your sidebar?
I assume the ones in your sidebar though. Pleas edit your page in the tagdiv composer and simply remove the element. Please use this guide to learn how to use the tagdiv composer: https://forum.tagdiv.com/tagdiv-composer-tutorial/
Thank you!
Hi,
I have tried embedding a Google map in a Raw HTML element from tagDiv composer, and it is displayed like this

I have used this guide for more information

Thanks
Is there a place in visual composer to place an image (ad) so that it’s responsive on all devices? From what I saw, there are no ad spots above the admin bar (which is good spot for many impressions). Is there a hack for this? I have gotten it to somewhat work (doesn’t look great though like the adsense ads), by editing /parts/header/header-style-5.php file. But is there a cleaner way?
I’ve looked at this https://forum.tagdiv.com/using-other-ads-non-adsense-ads/. Can I put this code in the header-style-5.php file and wrap my image in it?
Hi,
I believe this is a huge misunderstanding. There are two composers that are included in the theme package, and you can use each one to create your website
– https://forum.tagdiv.com/whats-included/
You do not need to buy the Visual composer plugin, simply install it and use it
– https://forum.tagdiv.com/how-to-update-visual-composer-plugin/
However you should consider using the newly introduced tagDiv composer, future updates will include more features exclusively for this page editor
– https://forum.tagdiv.com/tagdiv-composer-tutorial/
You also have the option to install one of the many available demos, so you will not have to start from scratch
– https://forum.tagdiv.com/demos_introduction/
– https://forum.tagdiv.com/installing-demos/
All the theme available features can be seen here
– https://themeforest.net/item/newspaper/5489609
The theme documentation is found here
– https://forum.tagdiv.com/newspaper-theme-documentation/
Also for any problems or questions you can always post a topic here on the forum, and we will try our best to help you.
If you feel that the theme is not suited for your purpose, you can request a refund and we will approve it.
Thanks
Hello HGDienstverlening,
Here is talking about a Big Grid feature which can be added from TD Composer and setup from Block settings, according to our documentation like this -> https://forum.tagdiv.com/block-settings-guide/
Thanks for your understanding!
Please advise how to insert Google Map in TagDiv composer.
Seems like the block (shortcode) doesn’t exist?
When pasting embed code given by Google in HTML shortcode (block) – it is not displayed properly.
Thank you.
Hello Lavesh,
First of all, please make sure that you are using the latest theme version, installed via FTP way and then try to read our documentation here -> https://forum.tagdiv.com/visual-composer-tagdiv-composer-transition/ -> https://forum.tagdiv.com/tagdiv-composer-tutorial/
Thanks for your understanding!
