Suppose you created the mobile pages with tagDiv Composer. If you will use in the future cloud templates (that we recommend), then you have in the TagDiv Composer a lot of options for customization. We wanted to create the easiest platform, so you can build your website without knowing any code and have the possibility to customize every field from any demo. That’s why you do not need a child theme with cloud templates. But you can use the child theme you have with the default templates.
The child theme is not overwritten by the update. An issue with that could be the compatibility of your child theme with the new version of our theme.
If you have some custom modifications directly in the theme files, then better save the code and replace it after every update. You can use a staging plugin, so you won’t ruin your website.

Hi,
A shortcode can be inserted by using the element called “Column text” or “Text with title”. “Column text” and “text with title” elements have a button called “edit content” and if you click on that button, the WP Editor will open, and you can add some text/code/shortcode there. Close the WP Editor from X, save the changes from Composer and view the page to see the changes.

Please check if there is a menu selected for the header main menu element in the tagdiv composer. Edit the homepage with the tagdiv composer, click on the menu element or add it again, select a menu, press save, and view the changes.

I have a newspaper theme, have been using for a few years for my website with no issue until sometime in January. Initially the main site was down for a day or so. While the display on the desktop has no issue now, a malware is acting on a mobile device. Anytime anyone visits the website from any mobile device, the redirect hacking malware becomes active. I checked this issue with my hosting company and I even hired a professional to work on. Both are pointing out it’s related to td composer. My jetpack scan results also indicates td composer as a threat. In fact, once I deactivate td composer plugin, the issue is resolved (no more redirect on mobile) but the landing page gets broken of course. I did a theme upgrade from version 9.x to the latest version. I know there were several major versions I upgrades at once, but I took a chance… After the upgrade I can´t view the start page properly https://www.roslagsbanan2.se/ or the posts http://www.roslagsbanan2.se/hyra-ut-i-andra-hand/, but the pages look OK https://www.roslagsbanan2.se/for-maklare/.
I have updated and activated TagDiv Composer and Cloud Libary. I assume I need to something with the post templates, but what? I have tried to update a post, but it did not help.
About the start page; I made it so long time ago that it can be made in Visual Composer (or whatever the name was). I am tempted to try to open it in TagDiv Composer and save it from there, but I decided to ask for advice here first. (I know it is said that the start page needs to be created again from scratch changing from Visual Composer to Tag Dig Composer, but I have previously successfully just opened and saved another start page in TagDiv Composer).
I am not a developer, I can do configurations within the theme, but no coding or too technical suggestions.

I’m using a Newspaper theme version 12.6.3 with Style PRO prebuild site from cloud.
Is there a possibility to override totally or partially the category template parts or maybe use some Tagdiv Composer php block?
I don’t want to use standard pack because its not so good for SEO/Speed.
What I want to do is:
1 – First show subcategories of actual category with title and background of each subcategory in one module, similar what I have with posts on homepage but with subcategories of actual category: rometm.com
2 – Next behind this module I will show top posts of actual category featured by my own criteria
I’m not asking for help with code implementation, just explaining what I want to do. So you can advise me the best options to override this parts.

We have 3 options for mobile versions that you can use:
1. Responsive version: A responsive version of your website looks similar to the desktop version. TagDiv Composer is used to edit the page.Click on the mobile viewport: https://www.screencast.com/t/XDQJedlggSB. There, you can see your mobile version and edit or adjust the elements to look better.
2. Mobile pages: https://tagdiv.com/newspaper-10-3-7-update-brings-customizable-and-fast-mobile-pages
3. Mobile theme plugin: The Mobile Theme is a performance-optimized theme included in the main Newspaper theme that only loads on mobile devices. It comes with its own templates and designs for pages, posts, categories, etc., so your current templates from the desktop theme will get converted to the mobile theme layout. I’m facing a problem with styles on 12.6.3 Newspaper with prebuilt Style PRO site:

When you load the website the design is ok. But when you move the mouse a little bit you can see the main menu is moved a little bit to left.
And when you put the mouse on top of menu the background of each element is back and it must be white, as in the prebuilt theme.
It happens because after moving mouse footer loads, I think its lazy load.
And I think footer style affects main menu.

Hi monema, the hooks that you are try to use are not working because on your product page you are using cloud templates that can be edited using the tagDiv Composer and those a different from standard woo shortcodes. What you can do is to remove the add to cart button by editing the template with tagDiv Composer – https://i.imgur.com/q333Xxt.png – https://i.imgur.com/YHlLR2F.png

Also, the mentioned element you’ll like to be displayed in product page or on the block module where the price and title are displayed? If you need them on product page the can be set using the tagDiv Composer and using the custom filed element. Now if is on module from the block, then we’ll be a little more complicate to add them

Please edit the page normally in editor and change the setting for the page into Template: Default template because I think you have there the setting: Pagebuilder + Latest articles + Pagination and these are not editable by the tagDiv Composer plugin.

I am working on converting a site to the Newspaper theme.
Posts are great — however when I try to convert a page, I will often find that in editing a page with the TagDiv composer, the widgets I’ve added will show up on the front page / all pages. This happens even when while I’m editing it – I’m seeing that page only. But when I browse somewhere else (eg: home), all the work I’ve done on that page is now global.

Suppose you created the mobile pages with tagDiv Composer. In that case, when you install the Mobile Theme plugin, your pages will be overwritten by the plugin (the mobile theme comes with its templates for page, post, category, etc, so your current templates from the desktop theme will get converted to the mobile theme layout, the page content is made without builders in mobile editor => https://www.screencast.com/t/xbgZG8kH also, the options that are provided to edit the mobile theme version are limited (this keeps the things simple)).

The Mobile responsive version of the theme and the mobile page editor can be edit with tagDiv Composer, the mobile theme plugin cannot.
For example, you can have the mobile theme plugin activated and use the mobile page/mobile responsive version for the homepage/pages, but for the categories pages/404 page, you can’t use the mobile page/mobile responsive version if you have the mobile theme plugin activated.
So, if you want to design the pages with tagDiv Composer, you can use the mobile page or mobile responsive version.
