Try to deactivate all plugins except Visual Composer, clear all caches and test again. Also check the browser console for any errors while you’re saving the settings. Usually there should appear a 403 or 404 error. If this happens contact your server administrator and explain the situation, as it’s requested many times during the a save the file it’s treated as threat so it’s banned. You can report false positives to your server administrator to remove it from the banned list.

The current theme’s version available on themeforest is tested and works fine with wordpress V 4.5. You can also try to make a new wp-install on a sub-domain or on your local computer using this configuration:
– WordPress V 4.5
– Newsmag theme V 2.3.6
– Visual Composer plugin V 4.11.2
This configuration should work fine as we tested on our side and didn’t encountered any issues.

Make sure that the parameters from system have the values indicated in our documentation: https://forum.tagdiv.com/system-status-parameters-guide/ also try to deactivate all plugins except Visual Composer, clear the cache memory then test again. You can also switch to a default wp-theme then, try to upload an image and check if the error is still there.

Make sure that you have updated the theme according with our documentation: https://forum.tagdiv.com/newsmag-how-to-update-the-theme/ also try to deactivate all plugins except Visual Composer, deactivate the child theme if you’re using, clear all caches then test again.
If you still can’t manage to solve this provide your site url so I can have a closer look.

Please make sure that you’re using the last theme version available on themeforest, V 2.3.6 and also check if Visual Composer plugin it’s updated at V 4.11.2 which is included in theme’s path. OK, I deactivated all the plugins and then reactivated visual composer, and it works. So now I guess I have to figure out which plugin is causing the problem?

(BTW, i put a post on newsmag forum by mistake. Please disregard).

I just bought the theme this weekend, and visual composer does not work for me either. I have v4.11.2. I’ve tried reinstalling the theme, reinstalling vc, and still nothing. There are two picture I took here: Dropbox

In the picture of compose post, none of the buttons work either.

it is like your documentation, for the widgets is working fine, just for the home page, made with visual composer is the one with trouble

I am having this same issue as well. I have the latest theme, but it says my Visual Composer is still 4.5

Catalin, I deactivated all the plugins bar Visual Composer and it still is not displaying properly. Can you have a look at the backend for me please?

Thank you so much for your response and suggestions! I’m not too tech savvy but I’m definitely open to learn. As suggested in the documentation you sent, I’m backing up my site now and when that is done, will update the theme and Visual Composer! By the way my site is http://www.davidmotivations.com although, I just installed a maintenance plugin so visitors can come another time. Learned so much from your response, I’ll let you know how it goes -crossing fingers!
