First of all, please check your console and see if you have some js errors through it. Also, please try to disable all the active plugins, leave just Visual Composer to active, clear all cache and install only the plugins that come bundled with our theme and rule out the conflicting plugins. It is possible to appear a js.errors generated from some untested plugins which can break the functionality of search function.
If you problem is still there after this, please provide your website URL so I can further inspect the issue.

Last theme version available on themeforest is tested and works fine with V 4.5 of WordPress. Make sure that you update the theme at V 2.3.6 and Visual Composer at V 4.11.2 which is included in theme’s path. You could try a wp database repair, it might work, try it like this: https://www.maketecheasier.com/fix-corrupted-wordpress-database-2/ Also check your server’s and MySQL error log, they might contain some references to this behaviors.
Finally if this does not help try to setup a new wp-install on a sub-domain or on your local computer using this configuration:
– WordPress V 4.5
– Newsmag theme V 2.3.6
– Visual Composer plugin V 4.11.2
This configuration should work fine so do a few tests with it and check how it goes.

Hi team,
I have your wonderful theme installed on my site qldpanthers.com
Since the last upgrade I have had problems with
1. When posting a story, the story can’t be typed in “Visual Mode”, only in “Text Mode”
2. Revolution slider needs to be upgraded. I upgraded through Newspaper-tf\plugins without any success
3. I can’t access visual composer on any of the pages I have created, therefore I can’t change the setup of my pages.

Also, please make sure that your untested plugins do not affect your theme and do not generate some unknown issue through the theme. To be sure, please try to disable all the active plugins, leave just Visual Composer to active, clear all cache and install only the plugins that come bundled with our theme and rule out the conflicting plugins.

This could be due to a server configuration which is not responding, it could be due to a delay or it could also be a temporary issue.
You can try this a few times and if you still get this error please contact your host provider and let him know about this, ask them to unblock our demo in order to retrieve the theme data.
It could also happen due to your wp install or a plugin conflict so try to deactivate all plugins except Visual Composer then test again. Also make sure that your permission for the upload folder are set correct.
You can check this by trying to upload an image in media library. If the process succeeds then the permission are ok. If not you can use the c-panel to change permissions (set them to 777) or if you do not have access to the cpanel, please contact your hosting provider. For more details about changing permissions in wordpress check this link: https://codex.wordpress.org/Changing_File_Permissions

I decided today to upgrade WordPress from 4.4.2 to 4.5.1. However after upgrading WordPress, Visual Composer no longer displays correctly. I tried to update both VC and Newspaper to 4.11.2 and 6.7.1 but installing the updates did not fix the issue.

If I roll back WordPress to 4.4.2, VC works again. The only thing I can think of is that I should have installed the theme and VC updates before updating WordPress. But the fact that installing the new theme and VC version after updating to WordPress 4.5 still leaves VC broken has me stumped.
For the record, I also tried deactivating all plugins and reinstalling the theme and VC plugin.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.

but as when i get to step 4, where i need to choose the file, the only window that opens up is to my desktop, where i only have the old version. how do i access the new version from this pop up window that appears when i click the ‘choose file’ button as instructed?

the problem is that I set up a slider, with slides, which is possibile to see in preview in the revslider backend, but it doesn’t show up in a normal Newspaper page.
It’s something I can’t understand and I think depends on something in your theme (in the plugin admin I can see the preview): I just put the shortcut in a text block (I tried with visual composer revslider 5 module too) and nothing appears on the front end.
Any directions?

In my website http://www.tycoonzfitness.com/ , you can see facebook social counter showing 0 like. However, I’ve 60+ likes. But at website it is showing 0 like. I’ve completed the whole procedure of app completion with security key. But the problem is not going to solve. The google plus and twitter is working fine but the problem is just with facebook counter.
Perhaps I’m missing something or tell me the use of access code that I got after pressing the ‘get access code’ button, in widgets of wp-admin. Please tell me how to get rid off this issue.

I have updated theme to 6.7.1 and Visual Composer to 4.11.2 and everything seems great at beginning.
But the visual composer could out of function suddently when the last second still works well, and the same situation happens to media library.
I already try to disable all plugins except visual composer, clear cache and reset cdn files but problems still happen. I might need you to inspect my back-end and I just sent an email to confirm my request to you.

The Visual composer backend editor has stopped working on the pages and posts for me. I have tried to uninstall visual composer plugin and reinstall it and this still hasn’t fixed the problem. is there anything else I can try to fix this problem. any help would be great thanks.

Unfortunately we are unable to offer any advice for this. You will eventually have to grab the bull by the horns and update to newspaper 6 as more and more elements will stop working with your version. Right now, your visual composer is not working, your social counter’s facebook is not working and more and more elements will start to break in time as facebook, wordpress, visual composer all advance and get update while your theme stays the same version.
You can downgrade wordpress if you want to buy a bit more time.

There is a conflict between older version of visual composer and the new version of wordpress, but we have no reports of the media library breaking upon updating WP.
Please update your theme to the latest version and make sure you update visual composer as well by following these guides:

If the problem is still there after you update, then please also try it without plugins. Disable all plugins except visual composer, clear cache and reset cdn files if you use it.

Hi,
You do not have to buy anything. Updates are free both for the theme and visual composer. If visual composer asks for you to buy it, simply ignore the message as we are the ones providing it as this process is required so we can test the released versions before including them in the theme.

Custom fonts do work and we have tested them properly. you just need to follow the steps closely from these guides:

Please keep in mind that when you are logged in, wordpress could be adding it;s own font so always check your fonts when you are not logged in.
Also , please try to disable all plugins except visual composer, cl;ear cache and reset cdn. Plugin conflicts can affect fonts.
