Hello,
I am facing the same issue’s as many others I’m afraid. I cannot edit any published “pages” with visual composer. pages that are in a draft state or new pages seem to function ok. But anything published the VC ball just keeps spinning.
I updated the theme through automatic update using the Envato theme updater plugin. I have ruled out 3rd party plugins, disabling them all except VC. I’ve disabled, deleted and reinstalled the plugin as well, changed my home page to draft and back to published, no joy. Not sure where to go from here
Please help
Is there a support for this theme, I cannot make visual composer editing work.
Hi
@robson2386 I’ve checked your site and noticed that when I access some posts the theme used to display them changes to newssetter: http://screencast.com/t/bj680EgsK9RR This is one of the those posts: http://motoday.pl/2015/06/16/bmw-serii-1-e87-jedyny-kompakt-z-napedem-na-tyl/ I am not sure why this happens but seems to affect site’s functionality and that’s why the featured image is not displayed on modules.
Make sure you have installed the Newsmag theme according with our documentation, also deactivate all plugins except Visual Composer, clear all caches, purge cdn files if you’re using then test the site again.
@haeluna I’ve checked your site and the theme works fine but you don’t have set the featured image for your post, that’s why there is no image displayed on homepage. Try to set some featured images for your posts: http://screencast.com/t/tDU3mo4C then test the site again.
Thanks!
Hi,
If you have the latest version of the theme, then you can update the visual composer plugin from the theme panel. Please acces your plugins section under installed plugins and remove and delete the visual composer plugin:
http://screencast.com/t/N2y6KwkN0 and then http://screencast.com/t/EMdOXUV3nUp
After you delete the plugin, install the new version from here: http://screencast.com/t/w4yRDbML
I hope this helps.
Thank you!
Hi
After WordPress’s last update there appeared a jQuery conflict in our theme. We fixed this conflict and the current theme version available on themeforest works fine, also we included last version of Visual Composer plugin.
Try to update the theme at V 2.3.6, and Visual Composer at V 4.11.2 following our documentation: https://forum.tagdiv.com/newsmag-how-to-update-the-theme/ – https://forum.tagdiv.com/newsmag-how-to-update-visual-composer-plugin/
Thanks!
Hello fitnessfactory,
Please ensure that you have the latest version of the theme (v.6.7.1) and Visual Composer plugin (v.4.11.2), otherwise, please try to do it and check the results after this. For more information about updating, please check here -> https://forum.tagdiv.com/how-to-update-the-theme-2/ -> https://forum.tagdiv.com/how-to-update-visual-composer-plugin/
Hope this helps and let us know how it goes!
Thank you for the message!
Hello vcandpro,
Please ensure that you have correctly installed the latest version of Visual Composer and our theme. Also, please try to disable all the active plugins, leave just Visual Composer to active, clear all cache and install only the plugins that come bundled with our theme and rule out the conflicting plugins. Also, you can try to make a new install with a new database and check the results.
Hope this helps and let us know how it goes!
Thank you for the message!
Won’t it delete all our settings on various pages, if we delete the Visual Composer first and then install the new one to update the plugin?
Hello unixmen,
I have checked your website and I saw the difference between Ie and Chrome browser. It could be plugin’s issue. Please try to disable all the active plugins, leave just Visual Composer to active, clear all cache and install only the plugin that come bundled with our theme and rule out the conflicting plugins. For more information about our cloud flare configuration, please check our documentation here -> https://forum.tagdiv.com/cloudflare-cdn/

@centennia
I have checked your site but could not find any problems with block 18: http://screencast.com/t/q1WVX7CpJG. Please provide more details as I cannot understand the issue from the scrrenshot. Is it the thumbnails not filling the container? If this is the case, then please try to upload biger images for those posts and regenerate thumbs. Also make sure you have the thumbnails selected from here http://screencast.com/t/kCD9bamhB as I see that your block 18 uses the full size image and not the thumbnail.
@Lynden
Thanks. Glad you got it working.
@fitnessfactory
Please try to deactivate all plugins except visual composer, clear cache and reset cdn files if you use it. If the plugin still won;t work, please send us an email at contact@tagdiv.com and provide wp-admin so we can access the back-end to inspect it.
Thank you!
Hello routenote,

Hi,
The new version of WP caused a few issues so please update your theme to the latest version: https://forum.tagdiv.com/how-to-update-the-theme-2/ and also update you visual composer plugin: https://forum.tagdiv.com/how-to-update-visual-composer-plugin/
As for the theme settings, make sure you have all the system status parameters increased according to this guide: https://forum.tagdiv.com/system-status-parameters-guide/
Thank you!
Hi,
We have no such reports of the main menu changing fonts, but if this is the case, please try to disable all plugins except visual composer, clear cache and reset cdn files. This will rule out a plugin conflict. If the problem is there afterwards please send us an email at contact@tagdiv.com and provide wp-admin so we can inspect the problem. Please also include a link to this topic so we can identify you.
Thanks.
Hi,
1) Please test the masonry grid without any other plugins except visual composer. you might have a plugin conflict going on that interferes with the grid. Please disable all plugins except visual composer, clear cache and reset cdn files. Then check the grid again. This way, maybe you could identify the one causing the issue.
2) If you place a sidebar in the per category settings here: then all the posts will get that category but only if the post setting is set to “default”: http://screencast.com/t/E3Rxzm8g If any other sidebar is set here, the one from the category will be ignored. You might also want to check if the sidebar was not stripped of widgets. Sometiumes wordpress strips the sidebar of widgets in special cases like when useing special symbols or language specific characters in the sidebar titles.
Let us know how it goes.
Thanks.
Hello pippuzzo80,
Please notice that until now we have no reports of this type of error. Please ensure that this type of problem does not come from your untested plugins. Please try to disable all the active plugins, leave just Visual Composer to active, clear all cache and install only the plugins that come bundled with our theme and rule out the conflicting plugins. Also, if the problem is still there after this advice and you need more assistance in this regard, please provide your website URL so I can further inspect the issue and also, so I will be able to provide a more accurate response.
Thank you for the message!
Hi,
These changes are due to the social networks changing over time. The social counter plugin does not work anymore in your version. You will have to update and set it up according to the new facebook rules. Pleas update your theme to the latest version and also uninstall and delete the social counter and visual composer and install the ones that come with the theme. Please follow these guides to update:
https://forum.tagdiv.com/how-to-update-the-theme-2/
https://forum.tagdiv.com/how-to-update-visual-composer-plugin/
Also set up your new social counter version: https://forum.tagdiv.com/tagdiv-social-counter-tutorial-2/
Things change overtime and you have to keep up with the changes. If you do not update your theme regularly you will not benefit from the improvements and you will have issues as wordpress gets changed, social networks change and so on. Things will start to not work anymore if you do not update the theme.
Thank you!
Hello Hugom,
Please ignore this message because the Visual Composer is free and come bundled with our theme and you cannot activate it because we cannot provide you a license key for this.
Thank you for your understanding!

Here you can find our documentation about the update process: https://forum.tagdiv.com/newsmag-how-to-update-the-theme/ – https://forum.tagdiv.com/newsmag-how-to-update-visual-composer-plugin/

Hello travisnw,
I have checked your website and I saw the problem with the fonts and also, I have noticed that you are using a lot of untested plugins which interact with the theme and could cause some unknown issues. Please try to disable all the active plugins, leave just Visual Composer to active, clear all cache and install only the plugins that come bundled with our theme and rule out the conflicting plugins.
Hope this helps and let us know how it goes!
