Hello tagdiv Team,
I have a problem with the performance of my site.
These are the highest values of the Google PageSpeed Insights test in the category „Eliminate render-blocking resources“
wp-content/themes/Newspaper/style.css?ver=9.2.2 -> Potential Savings: 2,130 ms
…td-composer/td-multi-purpose/style.css?ver=9b761f… -> Potential Savings: 930 ms
Is there any way to eliminate or reduce render-blocking resources?
Thanks for your help!
regards,
arti
Hi,
Unfortunately in order to customized the top bar you need to use custom css -> https://forum.tagdiv.com/create-custom-code-using-the-browsers-inspector/
If you need help with this please provide a link were I can inspect this problem and provide some information with what you want to achieve.
Thank you for your understanding!
Hi,
If that is a page you can edit the page with tagDiv Composer and set some margin.
For example
-> https://www.screencast.com/t/BebCjhGm -> https://www.screencast.com/t/4phacBQY8
Also you can use custom css -> https://forum.tagdiv.com/create-custom-code-using-the-browsers-inspector/
Thanks.
Hi,
The theme doesn’t have such a setting, the ad will be displayed permanently. Usually this could be done with CSS but in case of Adsense ads Google will not allow them to be hidden with CSS.
You could create a condition in the header template 6 file you are using. Something liks in this topic
– https://forum.tagdiv.com/topic/my-header-ad-are-not-in-the-middle-of-the-page/
The condition would be – if this is not post IDs -> show the ad
– https://www.screencast.com/t/oL6gb45vq
So the ad will not be loaded for those posts.
Or you could try using a plugin such as Adrotate, I believe that has such settings
– http://www.wpbeginner.com/plugins/how-to-manage-ads-in-wordpress-with-adrotate-plugin/
– https://ajdg.solutions/manuals/adrotate-manuals/
Thanks
Hi,
Please try this custom css
.td-post-content iframe {
height: 696px!important;
}
.td-post-content .su-responsive-media-yes {
padding-bottom: 100%;
}
-> https://www.screencast.com/t/aQJg44oIoHR
Hope this will help you!
Thanks.
Hi,
You could use a CSS that will not allow the links to break, like this
– http://prntscr.com/mbztnd
.sf-menu ul .td-menu-item > a {
white-space: nowrap;
}
Give it a try, it should work.
Thanks
Hi,
@mRelby This could be done with some CSS. Post a link to the website so I can try and create a code for it.
Thanks
If I remove the line from style.css:
font-size: 15px;
Then it uses the settings set under each post.
Is there a reason why a hard coded default is set?
Hi,
You could use some CSS to chnage the default black color, try this code
– http://prntscr.com/mbxryc
Enter it in the custom CSS section in the theme panel, use any color you want
.td_social_type:hover .td-social-box {
background-color: grey;
}
Thanks
Hi,
TagDiv Composer is a builder for pages and templates not for posts, please check our documentation -> https://forum.tagdiv.com/tagdiv-composer-tutorial/
You can use tagDiv composer to set a background color an a post template from tagDiv Cloud Library
If you want to set on the default post template you need to use custom css
Thank you!
Hi,
In order to get that element you need to use the Custom title and set some custom css on it, for example -> https://www.screencast.com/t/5btxdNoRYYs
Hope this will help you!
Hi,
You could add them with some CSS. Or maybe experiment within a cloud post template with the tagDiv composer – https://forum.tagdiv.com/tagdiv-cloud-library-plugin/
Here you can preview and even edit the cloud post templates
– https://affiliate.tagdiv.com/#/load/Single
Most composer elements have a CSS tab where you can set borders for example
– http://prntscr.com/mbx2ig
If you need help let me know. Mention what exactly you want to do, a link to the location where you want to do it in the website will be helpful as well.
Thanks
Hi,
It can be done with some CSS, like in this similar topic
– https://forum.tagdiv.com/topic/how-to-move-menu-items/
So for example – http://prntscr.com/mbwt8i
A guide for the browser inspector here – https://forum.tagdiv.com/create-custom-code-using-the-browsers-inspector/
If you need help with it let me know.
Thanks
Hi,
That placeholder can be disabled in the theme panel if needed – http://prntscr.com/mbwo4d
But some blocks/modules may not display properly if the placeholder is disabled. This may require additional CSS for styling, depending on the block you use. Let me know if you need help.
Thanks
Hi,
A setting fro this does not exist, only if you modify the code of the related articles module will it be possible. This is where you can find the module
– https://www.screencast.com/t/PayRp48bJ
The thumbs created by the theme are defined here – https://www.screencast.com/t/EqSt5MZl
You could use one of those thumbnails instead of the default one. Note that this may cause design issues with the related articles section, so it may require additional CSS.
Best to test in a local install and see what is needed according to the modifications you will make.
Thanks
Hi,
I compared and check the difference among three site, one has above “amp-ad extension .js script’ and others don’t have.
The only one difference is if I set the adsense ads or not.
The site has Adsense ads doesn’t have this issue but has only Custom ads has.
To avoid this issue, I have to set at least one adsense code to 5 ads setting form.
Please fix it.
And I have still have CSS syntax error in tag ‘style amp-custom’.
To check on https://validator.ampproject.org/, the error is below “no-repeat” code. “no-repeat” is highlighted. Can you fix them?
.amp-wp-inline-eab80f64bda784dd88f37c315858bbb8{font-size:small;overflow:hidden;padding-bottom:20px;text-align:left;}.amp-wp-inline-02434d473c6e32d64b45a44469715aab{clear:left;}.amp-wp-inline-df44f2f18a0e8af706136b62f2b7e6dd{font-size:1rem;}.amp-wp-inline-a2863105728b8a7082a2b27e9b56dc0d{line-height:120%;overflow:hidden;}.amp-wp-inline-32789b8c173fb1279a9119f145b909b5{margin-top:10px;}.amp-wp-inline-0dcef4c1c8989ed7ef92ff8355fdac04{margin-right:5px;) 0 0 no-repeat;padding:2px 0 2px 18px;}.amp-wp-inline-749396f0dbed9297adb7056b43488d86{margin-right:5px;) 0 -50px no-repeat;padding:2px 0 2px 18px;}.amp-wp-inline-502bd69113b07d2d126e1401914fbbf6{margin-bottom:5px;}.amp-wp-inline-deb3fd436c22cd507bcde095b6887ab6{line-height:120%;margin-bottom:10px;}.amp-wp-inline-361d8a8d4c36edef2eb00475945f8eea{font-family:verdana;font-size:8pt;line-height:120%;margin-top:5px;}.amp-wp-inline-b95268d48867a204bce28ee6d879f56f{float:left;margin:0 15px 10px 0;}.amp-wp-inline-5016e8e184a8443d2505ed3c381546e8{border:none;}.amp-wp-inline-2f0158eb062d1ac553a7edcb8a744628{text-align:center;}.amp-wp-inline-c5f5c72eec081f4cbd014a3774c7104a{height:280px;max-width:336px;}.amp-wp-inline-b988ce74b6eccdd258e179ffd7331ecc{margin-bottom:-40px;}.amp-wp-inline-e3e3c5688ac9d10db68a482921f05914{font-weight:bold;}.amp-wp-inline-5b88d03e432f20476a218314084d3a05{color:red;}.amp-wp-inline-157529d2613e3e5b5566ffa543887731{color:#0000ff;text-decoration:underline;}.amp-wp-inline-934605138b205d4a9871e64b928b79b8{text-decoration:underline;}.amp-wp-inline-ad7cff81ab4cfac2fda8135582b2c73c{color:#0000ff;}.code-block-default {margin: 8px 0; clear: both;}
Hi Calin,
Thank you very much for your help. It finally seems to work when I reduce the size of a 16/9 video.
In reality, I was trying to insert a 1:1 (square) video into the post with a width=100%, but no way to make this happen, even when i try your CSS code with width 720px or min-width 100%. The square video seems to but locked on a 395×395 pixels size. Here an exemple of video : https://vimeo.com/312906725/58116bfc80
And here on the website : http://zoominvest.fr/2019/01/23/test-video/
Thank you !

Hello,
I’ve selected a style for footer that has 3 columns but I need the subfooter to take the entire space (1 column). I’m unable to select a different style for the subfooter. Style 1 is selected by default and it’s not clickable.
Any ideas on how to make it expand to three columns (maybe with some custom css)?
Thanks!

3. Unfortunately there are only tow templates for tags, but hope that soon will be add more of them; also those are particular templates, you can edit them and set them how you want.
I can not edit them – it’s a huge job including CSS and HTML coding.
As you can see your tag templates has wrong layout. It has different widths and fonts sizes comparing to all other webpages in the theme. You can see it on the screenshot above or check it yourself.
Please, fix it. After that I will be able to edit them and set them. Please, fix…
Hi, I’ve created a website with quite a lot of tables.
I’ve found after installing the theme, all the table not responsive.
What should I do?
What css can I ad to make it responsive?
Hi,
For that you need to use this custom css -> https://www.screencast.com/t/HNc5WvCCha
.single .td-element-style::after{
background: linear-gradient(30deg,#ff2d26,#ff2d26)!important;
// background: red!important;
}
-> https://www.screencast.com/t/LfBUhSK7
Hope this is what you need!
Hi Austenit,
You need to do it yourself through the code, using the Inspector browser to create your own custom CSS code. Check here -> https://forum.tagdiv.com/create-custom-code-using-the-browsers-inspector/
Thanks for your understanding!
