The logo is in that position like in our demo, do you need other position for the logo. Give us more details.

Wish I could say for sure what plugin it was, but I ran into the same problem on a demo site I run. The demo runs on the same server as the live site for testing purposes and had all the same plugins activated as my live site, yet the Twitter follower count was zero while the icon and Follow button in the social counter widget went to the correct Twitter profile.

So, I deleted and reinstalled the social counter plugin – updated from 1.0 to 1.3 and no change on the erroneous count.

I then took a guess and decided to delete to a BUNCH of useless old plugins I have tested in the last six months. None were active but something made a difference. So, for lack of a better option, here’s the list of inactive plugins that I deleted…

Something worked. I would guess maybe the cache plugin??? But I have no real clue. Keep in mind some of these plugins are more than 2 years old since last used so most won’t be helpful in figuring out what plugin is causing the conflict.

I’m running 3.7 with VC and WP 3.9 on this site. Never had a problem before I spotted it tonight.

Woocommerce widgets: How to get same as Newspaper preview? - topic

In Newspaper preview the sidebar widget ‘Best Sellers’ has a nice image size aligned left, all looks good:

But when I add the Woocommerce Products widget to my store sidebar I get this, a smaller image aligned right and offset description. (header background set to grey by me):

Am I using the wrong widget, wrong thumbnail image?… In my example the thumbnail is set at 100px x 100px but Newspaper theme is 90px x 90px.
I am looking at code inspector for other clues…

Another weird thing going on. I just got this message after I tried to delete a theme:

The child theme apparently broke and default theme activated? I have now commented out line 9 so hoping this won’t cause issues?

I am leaving this theme at the end of the month, in the meanwhile I just updated my layout and get many visible front page errors.

Here are a few

in the image above:
1. under “ALL” I used to have like in the IDENTICAL to the demo with 4 – 5 images
2. Under “ALL” I never had those subcategories appear

Hi,

Only just noticed this but my site apparently doesn’t display any content in Safari or Chrome. Plays nicely with Firefox but the other two just show the menu and header.

Running 3.9 with latest update to theme.

Have tried this on iOS too and again only displays header and nav icon.

Be good to know what’s causing this.

Exclude pages from search - topic

Hi:

I would like to know how to exclude the pages from being indexed by the search, because when using the site Search box I get results from pages that are supposed to be “hiden” from view like Homepage 3, Homepage 4 etc.

This also happen on the theme demo site.

I noted also that some plugins that are supposed to list related posts are showing pages too, when those are not supposed to appear.

Hi,
Your site have rel="author" all should be fine. About the missing photo you can take a look here:

or search on Google about the issue, you will find people complain about missing photo, can be from Google.

I see that on our demo the photo is missing to.

Also, nice photos on your G+ page. I like those with macro. Can you tell me what lens you used? I’m only an amateur with cheap lenses 🙂

What I wanted to know was for each layer or box on the home page can I have a different colour or image?

ON the demo version you have home page with background and this is what I wanted to do but all the way for different section on the front page.? is this possible?

by the way I love the theme and use it on 2 of my websites

Hi,
That image size 1074 x 483 is used only on Slide on 3 columns, see here a guide: https://forum.tagdiv.com/modules-and-blocks/ Point 3.

If you want you can disable that resolution(image to be cropped at that size), just delete this line in function.php http://screencast.com/t/X7YSOuiEYks

RTL language with newspaper theme - reply

Hi,
The theme will switch automatic to RTL if you put your WordPress in Arabic language.

Or use this: http://ar.wordpress.org/ and activate the theme. If you want you can install the demo data, this will build the homepage to.

I started the site with your Demo install which worked right out of the box. What I have found is that there are no Title 1 and Title 2 tags on the home page etc. Are there any settings in the admin where I could add this.

This may be a silly question but I have to ask!

All your demo image sizes are set at 1074 x 483

Am I correct in assuming I could easily reduce the width to 850px thus saving a lot in KB especially once optimised. Are there any specific reasons for the images to be so large?

If I reduce the width to 850 keeping their proportions then the height would become 382 Would that cause issues or does this simply work. Would I need to keep the height at 483?

please disable all plugins, there may be conflicts between theme and the theme.

I install the theme and work fine the first time, i could saw all the bloks (9) (the exact amount like in this page http://demo.tagdiv.com/newspaper/block-9/ ), but today i can only see 5 blocks.

I install the same theme in a local host with a clean wordpress instalation, but i still only see 5 blocks.(block 1,2,3,4,5)

im not edit any file.

I tried with the demo xml, but nothing change.

can someone help me plis

Here are all the templates available with a diagram to see how it works: https://forum.tagdiv.com/page-templates/

You use there a template with BG this will add the big slide automatic and that big slide read FEATURED posts. You will get a similar look: http://demo.tagdiv.com/newspaper/homepage-with-background/

To mark a post as featured include a post in FEATURED category.

If you want to hide that use a template without BG, just edit your homepage and select Homepage – with article list template
