Hi there,

I’m currently using WP Rocket so I can defer some Javascript and make my website (Motorstof.nl) even faster. Now all seems to work well, but not the autoloading of the next post. When I defer the JS nothing happens when I scroll down a post. Whenever I turn this setting of it works again. Do you know which JS needs to be excluded in order to make the deferring of the JS work in combination with the autoloading of next posts?

Hi,

AMP is faster and works better only with the Mobile Theme plugin. If you’ll use the Mobile theme plugin, then you can not edit the pages with tagDiv Composer.
You have only some settings for this layout, which you can find in Theme panel -> Mobile Theme. It the same thing for the AMP plugin too.
Also, you can check our documentation here:
-> https://forum.tagdiv.com/tagdiv-amp-plugin-tutorial/ please set the AMP like in our guide.
-> https://forum.tagdiv.com/the-mobile-theme/

Hi,
The pagespeed do not depends only by the theme, there are a lot of elements, like page elements, external resources, ads, extra plugins…
As I see on your website, there are no theme problems, but maybe you can optimize better the pagespeed for your website:

Hello @crodexter!

Please check this guide: https://forum.tagdiv.com/theme-thumbs/ ; Some screenshots where you can change the image sizes: https://i.imgur.com/OYxNzc9.jpg ; https://i.imgur.com/UpGKfGv.jpg
Please note that these settings are not available for the standard templates or Mobile theme plugin.
Regardless of image size used for featured images, the theme will create thumbnails from them. These thumbnails will be loaded, not the full image. Still there are methods to optimize the thumbnails, see point 3 in this guide for example

The site is not on a shared server it is on a dedicated AWS server. We have followed your site’s faster guide and are using the WP Super Cache and AWS CloudFront. Here is a video of our Theme Status. https://www.screencast.com/t/4KaFkanKOk.

If you need access to the back end please let me know.

Hi,
I just checked your website and now the fonts seems to load -> https://i.imgur.com/cZoD28z.png
Also, if you are using only a few fonts, then will be better to set that font as custom and disable the google fonts, in this way the website will become faster -> https://forum.tagdiv.com/font-customization/
Thank you!

Hi,
The Search Results can be slow if you have many posts and the server is not dedicate.
What you can do is to use a database cache.
Also, if you want to make the site faster, you can check our guide -> https://forum.tagdiv.com/how-to-make-the-site-faster/

Hi!

Thank you :).

Right now I couldn’t use cloud template for post template, because I have about 50k posts what uses Co-Author-Plus plugin and it isn’t comptatible with cloud template. Thats why I hoped, there is an solution to get related posts under single post page?

One way is that I don’t disable standard pack but without that site would be more faster?

Hello Marius!

If you mean page speed, then you need to take into account:
External factors: server speed, if you are using CDN or not, the external resources loaded by your website like ads, fonts, tracking scripts like Facebook Pixel, Google Analytics, Twitter analytics, Hotjar and so on.
Internal factors: the number of elements on the page, image size, image formats, if you are using mobile optimized layouts, console errors.
Our developers are working a lot to improve the page speed in every update.
As a suggestion, disable the lazy load animation. Other starting points to improve your website page speed are here:

Hello @alessandrogini1!

A good choice for the page speed, it could be the mobile layout which contain less elements because it can improve a bit your page speed.
Our developers are working a lot to improve the page speed in every update, so make sure you use the latest update(11.4).
Some factors which you need to take into account are:
External factors: server speed, if you are using CDN or not, the external resources loaded by your website like ads, fonts, tracking scripts like Facebook Pixel, Google Analytics, Twitter analytics, Hotjar and so on.
Internal factors: the number of elements on the page, image size, image formats, if you are using mobile optimized layouts, console errors, if you are using the Standard Pack plugin on not, if you are using PRO demo or a standard one.

Hello @justinmrnd5!

I understand your point of view. The problem is that the html is longer than your words in the posts. But you can not do much about it and reduce the code because is much responsible for your page design. Check this article too: https://www.thewebinaut.com/blog/pages-have-a-low-text-html-ratio
In order to increase the text to HTML ratio, you can: remove huge white spaces, avoid lots of tabs, remove comments in the code, avoid tables, resize and optimize your images. As a faster suggestion, maybe you can find a plugin which can optimize the html code too.

Hope that helps you!

Thank you!

Hello HRHQ!

What I can suggest for your ads is to set an auto size for them and not a fixed height and width in order to display in place in the div(box). If you have many ads, then the score can not be 100% because this will decrease your page speed. For slow images, as a suggestion, disable the lazy load animation from the theme panel.

Our developers are working a lot to improve the page speed in every update.
Some factors which you need to take into account are:
External factors: server speed, if you are using CDN or not, the external resources loaded by your website like ads, fonts, tracking scripts like Facebook Pixel, Google Analytics, Twitter analytics, Hotjar and so on.

Hello @iamratnesh!

Our developers are working a lot to improve the page speed in every update.
This is depending on your website page speed and many other factors like:

Internal factors: the number of elements on the page, image size, image formats, if you are using mobile optimized layouts, console errors, if you are using the Standard Pack plugin on not, if you are using PRO demo or a standard one.

Hi,
This effect is because the background image is loaded using css https://i.imgur.com/WOzycXv.png and this will load slow, when the image is set in an image element that is using html code like “Single image”, then this will be load faster because, fist it is load all the html and only after that the css.
Thank you!

Hi,
However, page loading speed can depend on many factors, and each website is unique from this point of view. Let me explain some of these factors and maybe they give you some starting points for optimizing your website.
Internal factors: the number of elements on the page, image size, image formats, if you are using mobile optimized layouts, console errors, if you are using the Standard Pack plugin on not, if you are using PRO demo or a standard one.
For the page speed, I can recommend you our guide https://forum.tagdiv.com/how-to-make-the-site-faster/

Hi,
For that traffic you’ll need a dedicate server https://i.imgur.com/JxDkHWz.png -> https://forum.tagdiv.com/requirements-for-newspaper/also what you can solo do is to use some cache of database to make it faster.
Also, if you have more blocks on pages, then the time will be longer because each block is searching in database using sql_calc_found_rows so, the more blocks you use more requests will be make.
Also, if you are using ajax filter on blocks -> https://i.imgur.com/baEwDLe.jpg, this will also request access to database.
If you check all those, then you should get some improvements!
I hope this will help!
Thank you!

Hi,
I see, I think that there were some settings made in EWWW Image Optimizer plugin, for my seems to work without problems, but I let only the settings that are coming with the theme -> https://i.imgur.com/6gmuvxN.png -> https://i.imgur.com/DdRl7Ry.jpg
Also, for images this is the plugin that is recommended in our guide from here https://forum.tagdiv.com/how-to-make-the-site-faster/

Hi jamesportis, indeed when the search is not working most of the time is related to some extra plugins that are in conflict with that theme element.
The mega menu can be set by adding the category on menu elements, so removing those categories from menu elements will remove the mega menu .
Also, if you want you can check our pagespeed guide from here https://forum.tagdiv.com/how-to-make-the-site-faster/
Thank you!
