Hi,
1. The mobile theme I have set for my website is not the one that is showing. It doesn’t even have the footer or side widgets that my desktop version does. I have tried changing the settings but it just won’t change.
2. Page Speed- Page speed is ok because I have literally stripped off every widget from my website. I am not even using full-size images, just a post block without the ‘load more’ button. I had to remove almost every block from the home page to make it load a bit faster.
3. I am using version 11.1, PHP 7.4, All my plugins are updated yet the speed test constantly shows low scores with tons of theme-related issues since I purchased the theme.
” tagDiv Composer has a negative impact on your performance metrics and should be removed or replaced. Overloads your site with CSS and JavaScript making a negative impact on your performance. The recommendation is to use the default WordPress block editor if you want a fast site”
“The newspaper has a negative impact on your performance metrics and should be removed or replaced.”
3. Even on a single post page I had to remove the featured images as it was negatively impacting the page load time.
The mobile theme template is showing some other version though
Basically, my site is just text right now. My main concern is the mobile theme which is constantly showing errors in the speed tests. I tried fixing it but somehow desktop version and mobile version are different.
I have a Travel and lifestyle blog. Not using images is NOT an option for me. ( Using Smush plugin for optimizing images) I need a fast-loading and responsive theme.

Hello,
I have a sports portal based on newspaper theme and it is wonderful. I also have 3-4 sites for my clients
I have found a good VPS deal and wanted to migrate all of my plesk websites to another Hosting provider.
My old has 6 CPU 8BG RAM and the new one has 8 CPU 16GB RAM.
So i used plesk migration tool and i moved all of my sites to the new VPS Host.
I have checked them all and they are working as they should expect https://sportlive.gr which is my sports portal domain.
This site is live for over 1 year now and it has thousands of post and pics, and the DB is almost 3GB!
I had a Veeeery Slow performance on the new Host and even timeouts sometimes. So changed NS records back to the old host provider and started troubleshooting the website to the new provider with a new domain name https://exclusiveweb.gr
If you check the two domains https://sportlive.gr and https://exclusiveweb.gr you will see the speed difference in the two portals. for some reason that has to do definitely with the newspaper database settings, the DB CPU performance keeps getting 100% every time a surf https://exclusiveweb.gr or it stays 0% and takes 15 seconds to open a new post!!
I want to point out that the https://exclusiveweb.gr is a CLONE of https://sportlive.gr with the same settings plugins etc etc!!!
I tried EVERYRHING in the new VPS host.
1. downgrade to an older version and then upgrading to the newspaper 11 again.
2. Disabled ALL other plugins except tagdiv
3. Delete all the past posts and pics and kept only 1 week old.
4. Optimise clean the Database!
Nothings worked , no speed at all, expect if i disable tag div plugins , then https://exclusiveweb.gr is working much faster as it should.
I even tried to create the portal from scratch and it was going well , no speed issues from a clean DB’s but when i tried to import the all posts and the images from the old portal with WordPress import tool it took forever and I had a lot of timeouts and i could not finish the migration with this tactic because the website in total is almost 45GB now!
I do not know what else to do , I am pretty sure that some tagdiv composer is causing the problem but i cannot troubleshoot it and i need your help.
Kind regards,
Michael

Hello!
That is happening on your website because it does not load fast enough. As you can see here you have this image that is blocked: https://www.screencast.com/t/hc1ycjDesRU Please find that image and remove or re-add it and everything should work a lot faster.

Hi pmdcloud, the amp version is a simple one, and if you are using the amp plugin without mobile theme plugin, then you do not have any option to edit it (this is simple to make the amp version faster), in case that you are using the amp with mobile theme plugin, then you can use the options from mobile theme plugin and tagDiv Standard pack to choose whet to display and what to remove -> https://i.imgur.com/1XDVGye.png, also for mobile and amp page you need to set a new content in mobile editor, this need to me bade only with the elements from mobile editor (therefore please do not copy and paste the desktop content in mobile editor -> https://i.imgur.com/68rJGZh.png).
I hope this will help you!
The TD composer loads so waaaay faster than the divi plugin. Thank you for adding the woocommerce features in the td composer! So cool! We know it will just get better in due time! Yaaaay!

Hello!
If you do not use Mobile Theme plugin, then I recommend you to uninstall it.
We recommend using the WP Super Cache plugin https://forum.tagdiv.com/cache-plugin-install-and-configure/
This issue appears when your page is not loading so fast. A solution for this could be to increase your page speed or change your server with a faster one.
Please make sure that all the requirements are met as you can see here: https://forum.tagdiv.com/requirements-for-newspaper/
You can check also if there is a plugin conflict, please deactivate ALL plugins except tagDiv ones, also if you are using child theme or cache plugin, deactivate them, clear all cache(also from your browser) and try again.
Hope that helps you!
Thank you!
Hello!
The AMP has its own design, so if you will use it on your cloud templates, then the pages will be overwritten by the plugin. Unfortunately, AMP is faster and works better only with Mobile Theme.

Hello,
Usually, this problem when the mobile theme is displaying on the desktop, the plugin for the cache that you are using do not recognize the mobile and desktop cache. We recommend using the WP Super Cache plugin https://forum.tagdiv.com/cache-plugin-install-and-configure/
The mobile theme plugin uses a standard layout for mobile to make it faster, but for this, all your pages need to be remade using the mobile editor (so you can only add the elements that are present in the toolbar, without shortcodes (blocks) and the shortcode for the contact form (if you copy-paste the code will not work)).

Hi,
Just to be clear and avoid misduerstandings, what preloading are you referring to? For what elements and how exactly are you planning to preload them, or what option are you referring to?
Preloading or prioritizing the content above the fold is indeed useful. The blocks have an option for preloading the posts they display – https://i.imgur.com/3DpX6Mz.png That is available for blocks and per block only however, not the whole page or other elements from the page.
Preloading posts in a block means they will be displayed faster when using the ajax menu filter, as they are already loaded on page load. Opposed to using the ajax menu and waiting a little for the posts to load.
The relatively new CSS analyzer tool we added a few updates ago also helps, with the CSS. It will split and load the critical CSS first, and the rest will be loaded in the footer.
Preload capabilities are usually provided by optimization plugins or caching plugins, for example – https://onlinemediamasters.com/preload-key-requests-wordpress/ Some have options to preload specific resources and URLs. The theme has no actual general preload option/setting for a website.
These being said, how exactly could we help in the matter? Let me know.
Thank you!
Hello,
It looks like you have activated the mobile theme plugin.
Better deactivate the plugin and see the results.

Unfortunately, there is a big difference between version v7.2to version 11.
Here you can find information about the changes that have occurred in each update over time https://tagdiv.com/newspaper/
Also, for example, the breadcrumbs appear on the category page https://www.screencast.com/t/B4UJQhVko
For grids and colors I’m not sure I fully understand your issue, can provide some screenshots of what should look like or what colors should be applied.
Thank you!
While I’ll like to commend the developers for making the newspaper theme extremely fast, it has however not addressed the CLS issues.
I have lost over 95% of my google presence due to CLS issues. I have hanged on for 7 months now hoping they will fix this issue but it’s still the same. It’s safe to say, Core Web Vitals are not top priority for this developers
Hi Vlad
The answer is a little short, although I understand that the best option is “default”. I was hoping for a link to documentation on the subject specifying different choices.
I tell you an example, so you can understand which is better. The first rendering is what matters to me. If you look at this url https://www.trebol-apuestas.com/blackjack/ there are several elements that I want to preload the block with the different bookmakers, that is why I add the option “Preload All”. This is a flex block with six elements and “I think” it makes it faster that way in this example, as it prioritizes the loading of the visible elements. And in this case the top image “Inline single image” is also an element that I would like to be prioritized when loading and not have the Lazy Load option. What can be done in this case with images that appear at the beginning to optimize the load. I leave you this video so you can see the aspect in TagDiv. https://www.loom.com/share/77209f86d3df4342be06b20c408ed16b
Hello!
One thing that you need to know before is that mobile pages which you use is not compatible with AMP at the moment.
Unfortunately, AMP is faster and works better only with Mobile Theme, because it is not compatible with cloud templates.
From my point of view, if you don’t use the Mobile Theme plugin, then there is no reason or benefit from AMP.
Check our documentation about this plugin here:
https://forum.tagdiv.com/tagdiv-amp-plugin-tutorial/
Thank you!
AMP is mainly useful if you’re looking for a simpler, pure mobile experience for your information; kind of like the WordPress default themes. The idea is to make page load faster in places with slow internet, slow mobile connections, etc. — there is no inherent ‘better’ reason to do AMP vs normal desktop responsive layouts, unless you have very slow server and are unable to pass Google Lighthouse mobile/desktop tests for best practices.
In our case we use Newsmag desktop theme for desktop, ipad, and mobile. We use the AMP plugin as fallback for Google to serve that simple version to those on slow connections. AMP is something Google invented to cache popular content in the cloud for slow phone connections. Really not intended to replace ‘normal’ pages, site layouts, and almost nobody actually doing that unless a simple blog.
SEO is about pagespeed, best practices, optimization for loading elements, and the like. You can test your site using the Chrome web browser by learning to use the ‘console’ to see if your site is horribly slow — in that case AMP might be worth looking into as default format to serve, but it is not ‘better’ for SEO than normal pages. Having both normal pages and AMP format pages also does not hurt SEO as Google knows one is the ‘canonical’ version and one is ‘alt’ version.
(( I don’t work here, just longtime user. ))
Hello!
The code you already have created In order to override css files i created a style.css in child theme’s folder. Styles from this file do not overide all default css. Once inserted in Head it should load faster.
Thank you!
Hello,
We have 5 licenses to Newspaper 9 Themes. Our main site, theaiorganization.com is on old newspaper9 version. Our speed for homepage has never been faster than 2.4 seconds, and 1.6 for post pages, with usual 3.0 seconds on main page which is not satisfacory. Each technician we consulted with stated it is the coding inside Newspaper9.
1. When we updated to the new WordPress 5.72, it broke the Tagdiv Composer, we had to uninstall, reverse to previous wordpress version, and reset the entire website for theme to work with Tagdiv Composer. Is it because Tagdiv has bugs related to new wordpress or not yet compatible? Also, how should we get to upgrade to Newspaper 10 and to 11?
2. Tag Div AMP app for faster speed, after installing the AMP app, the Tagdiv Composer also has issues. Why?
3. What is the general speed Newspaper 9 is supposed to achieve for load in? Our testing process was with pingtool and mostly with Gmetrix speed test. We see other themes or your competitors, achieve 1.0 seconds with more data than we have, compapered to the Newspaper 9 3-4 seconds.
Please provide solutions and direct answers to each question and issue with pictures, and directions so we can obtain around 1 second. We use Cloudflare to ensure good security and fast service, so the Theme here is the issue. We also have Plugin for Cache.
