Hi,
Thanks for your reply. I now come back to square 1. In my previous comment I said that the Mobile Theme was working, but I don’t know how, but now it is not working again. It is displaying the theme as if the plugin weren’t installed and I haven’t made any changes at all. I tried deactivating the plugin and activating it again, but I get the mobile version of the desktop theme.
This is frustrating, because I don’t know what is making this happenning again. I checked the system status of the theme and it says that the Newspaper mobile version is active. And it is also frustrating because answer, as very helpful as they are, should be faster.
The image issue is fixed now, the modules use proper thumbnails not resized full images.
It is true that some plugins may not work properly or at all with the mobile theme, and it does not have many customization options. Also it uses simplified predefined templates for posts, categories, homepage etc. These are the reasons why it is faster.
You could not use the mobile theme, then the same content from desktop will load on mobile.
From what I can see he website uses AMP – https://labussolanews.com/rimini/servizio-gestione-rifiuti-tariffa-corrispettiva-puntuale-online-i-numeri/amp/
It is also valid – http://prntscr.com/n41lrr
Google will index the AMP pages and display them in the search results
– http://prntscr.com/n41mzb
The official AMP plugin has it’s predefined template and layout, it has no settings for the logo, ads etc. With the mobile theme there will be ad spots in the theme panel. So ads while using just the AMP plugin could be added like this
– https://isabelcastillo.com/google-adsense-wordpress-amp
– http://www.jilaxzone.com/2018/04/21/a-guide-how-to-show-adsense-ads-on-amp-pages-on-wordpress-sites/
In the cloud post templates currently there are no size settings for the ads. These may be added in the future. The solution is to use media queries
– https://support.google.com/adsense/answer/6307124?hl=en
Hi,
In some cases that effect may be visible, this is how CSS loads. First the default colors will be loaded, then the colors set in the theme panel or with custom CSS will be loaded, replacing them. Sometimes the transition between the colors is noticeable
– http://prntscr.com/n3o9qx
The default color for that header is here – http://prntscr.com/n3oa9q you could remove that code or change it to how you want it there.
This custom code you are using – http://prntscr.com/n3obqv will also load after the theme stylesheet is loaded. You could try and enter custom code directly in the theme stylesheet for a faster load. These should fix the issues.
Another solution is to create your own header (blank template), or import one design by us and modify it if needed – http://prntscr.com/n3ocst
The cloud library plugin is needed for this, also theme version 9.5 and above
– https://forum.tagdiv.com/tagdiv-cloud-library-plugin/
– https://tagdiv.com/whats-new-in-newspaper-theme-9-5-update/
– https://tagdiv.com/newspaper-theme-customize-the-header-manager/
These don’t have predefined design as the default header styles, what you set in the composer will apply.
Let me know if you have more questions.
Thanks
Hello.
I have created a site where I have changed colors, padding etc – on various things.
The problem is that when the site is loaded – the old styling shows up for about 1-2 sec before the custom css overrides. — it’s especially noticeable on the header.
see video —> https://cl.ly/6fcb5fe685e8
This makes the theme useless, as it seems very unprofessional, and I wonder why you haven’t fixed this issue.
Never the less – I need this fixed. I have spent a lot of time on the site.
I have tried going into the style.css file and fixing these issues directly —> I have some experience in html/css, however I am not a developer by far… and I need to upload the file via ftp + find all the areas I need changed directly in there…
This will take me a lot of trial and error (which really shouldn’t be my problem, as most of these color changes are done via the theme panel)
Can you please assist here? I’m thinking for someone who is a developer, and know the theme’s code, it will be a lot faster.
Thank you.
Hi,
I tried making a search on your website, looks alright at the moment. Using the header search I have this result – http://prntscr.com/n34ibj
This is for the search in the results page – http://prntscr.com/n34ha1
The results look similar, maybe this is happening when the website has many visitors. However you could disable the header search in the theme panel and use a search form inside the page – http://prntscr.com/n34j20 or inside the header (with a cloud header template). Then test to see if that is faster.
Thanks
The search functionality of Newspaper theme is really slow and it has nothing to do with the speed of the page because it is fast, neither WordPress because my former theme had really fast search function. I use WP Rocket. In general, I think loading time is slow to Newspaper. The search function must be faster. How to do it?
It seems like the search function in menu is slower than search above search results. Why?
Hi,
Please notice that the speed of your website depends on how well your site is optimized.
Notice that is not a simple task and if you do not have any experience in this regard you will do not bring good results for the theme. Also, notice that we have a speed optimization tutorial but this is addressed only to advanced users. So, if you follow the steps which are presented in this tutorial here -> https://forum.tagdiv.com/how-to-make-the-site-faster/ you can increase the page speed loading and if you are not aware of the steps in this regard, please consider hiring a freelancer/developer to help you because the speed optimization services are not covered by our support policy, as you can read here -> https://forum.tagdiv.com/support-policy-2/ Check our documentation here -> https://forum.tagdiv.com/requirements-for-newspaper/ regarding on dedicated server to fit our requirements.
Unfortunately, our theme does not have such an option to minify the style.css file and we cannot recommend any plugins with this functionality because is not tested with our theme. For minifying this file, we are using CloudFlare for our demo and works fine. If you want to read other views from our users, please check this topic -> https://forum.tagdiv.com/topic/tip-how-to-easily-minify-your-css-without-breaking-your-site/
Also, check all of your Ad Spots and if you have entered any suspicious code through them, remove all of them and check the results without them.

Dear
I thank you for your attention.
I’m doing process for optimization of my site dicaappodia.com
I followed exactly what you requested on this site.
https://forum.tagdiv.com/how-to-make-the-site-faster/
https://forum.tagdiv.com/cache-plugin-install-and-configure/
But after I installed the WP Super Cache plugin the template does not work, I lost all of its training, how to solve it?
The website will be faster on mobile if you use the mobile theme + AMP option. The mobile theme will apply to the whole website for mobile visitors and also AMP pages.
The only AMP option will apply the mobile theme only on AMP (visitors that access the website from the Google search results page on mobile ). Other mobile visitors will be served the default responsive version of the website.

I modified all to be able to load WebP images, and I did it!
I got a 100/100 score in pagespeed. But I need a plugin to enable the caching of that type of images in browsers, I use Cache enabler (Only for that, I use WP SuperCache for all the config).
When I activate the Cache enabler plugin, the mobile theme doesnt work, what can i do?
I think its something important, the future are this type of images, and its a lot faster.
Thanks!
What about page speed? Befor an update was much faster. One more thing. what is the difference between:
1) Mobile+Amp – Displays content using the Mobile Theme on both mobiles and AMP
2) AMP – Uses the responsive version of the theme on small screen devices and Mobile Theme only on AMP.
I’ve got to admit I’m a little bit confused.
The rule enabling gzip compression in htaccess provided in https://forum.tagdiv.com/how-to-make-the-site-faster/ does not work with litespeed servers. Is there any alternative working with Litespeed servers?
Hi,
@seanhelmes Displaying the same content on both desktop and mobile is possible, if the mobile theme plugin is deactivated.
Posts, categories, author pages etc these will have a predefined template on mobile with the mobile theme, regardless of what is set on desktop. These predefined templates are simple, this is why the mobile theme is faster than the responsive version (non mobile theme). The homepage will show a couple of predefined elements, the rest of the pages will require content in the mobile editor or they will be empty. Currently this is how it works.
Gradually we will add more settings and options for this plugin, and improve it. In this stage we are noting every suggestion provide by users.

Thank you!.
Hi Calin, thanks again for a prompt response.
I have disabled my hosting cache plug-in (SG optimizer), and installed WP super cache as recommended, with all the recommended settings. There is a small REDUCTION in the speed score (from 18 to 15). It is clear that the cache plugin I was using before is at least as good, in fact slightly better than WP Super cache. The issue is ENTIRELY the TDC template loading. If you go to the site http://www.ethical-intelligence.com you can see the header does not load immediately, but the rest of the site, including the footer, loads more or less instantly. The TDC template takes a further 1-2 seconds to load. The issue is ENTIRELY with the header template, and not with the rest of the site, or the footer, or the caching. Switch to the old header (the Theme Panel version) and loading is MUCH faster. It is very frustrating that the TDC header template problem is not being addressed. Can you look specifically at the TDC header performance on this site?

Hi,
That option is custom made be our developers for tagDiv Composer to give you an option to make more some settings faster (some simple changes to blocks); unfortunately there is no option to create that Pre-Made Style Prsets on website, sorry!
If you want to use the style from one block/element you can use the right click and copy stile.

Hey, Guys any recommendation for how to make the website faster the main header and the menu load so slow the colours that I choose take seconds to load and give blue colours instead for headers please guys tell me what shall I do to solve this problem.
FYI: A bit late in my response but I figured out the problem and hopefully this could help others with a similar problem:
Change Image Editor Library Used by WordPress
WordPress runs on PHP which uses two modules to handle images. These modules are called GD Library and Imagick. WordPress may use either one of them depending on which one is available.
However, Imagick is known to often run into memory issues causing the HTTP error during image uploads. To fix this, you can make the GD Library your default image editor.
You can do this by simply adding this code to your theme’s functions.php file or a site-specific plugin.
function wpb_image_editor_default_to_gd( $editors ) {
$gd_editor = ‘WP_Image_Editor_GD’;
$editors = array_diff( $editors, array( $gd_editor ) );
array_unshift( $editors, $gd_editor );
return $editors;
}
add_filter( ‘wp_image_editors’, ‘wpb_image_editor_default_to_gd’ );
$editors = array_diff( $editors, array( $gd_editor ) );
array_unshift( $editors, $gd_editor );
return $editors;
}
add_filter( ‘wp_image_editors’, ‘wpb_image_editor_default_to_gd’ );
After adding this code, you can retry uploading files using the media uploader. If this doesn’t solve the issue, then you can remove this code and try other methods described in this article.
Using The .htaccess Method
This method allows you to control how Imagick uses server resources. Many shared hosting providers limit Imagick’s ability to use multiple threads for faster image processing. However, this would result in you seeing the HTTP error when uploading images.
An easy fix is to add the following code in your .htaccess file:
1
SetEnv MAGICK_THREAD_LIMIT 1
This code simply limits Imagick to use a single thread to process images.
We hope this article helped you fix the HTTP error during media upload in WordPress. You may also want to see our WordPress troubleshooting guide as well as the ultimate list of most common WordPress errors and how to fix them.

The mobile theme plugin is optional, it is a much simplified theme optimized for mobile. The layout is predefined and it doesn’t have many customization options, this results in a faster website speed on mobile – https://forum.tagdiv.com/the-mobile-theme/
You can deactivate it and not use it, then the default responsive version will be shown on mobile. The elements in the page will adapt for a mobile layout. The same content from desktop will be displayed on mobile if the mobile theme is deactivated.
This theme demo as the mobile theme active, if you want to check it out on mobile
– https://demo.tagdiv.com/newspaper_local_news/
Hi,
For this you can use the mobile theme, this will make your speed more faster -> https://forum.tagdiv.com/the-mobile-theme/ or if you do not want to use the mobile theme you can use a custom css tho hide that block on mobile device;
for example this code will hide the block 1 and 3 ->
.td_block_1, .td_block_3 {
display: none;
}
please set it in newspaper>theme panel>custom code > advance css> mobile section -> https://www.screencast.com/t/50Coc8Qe
Thank you!
