Hi,

Yes, you can change the entire layout if you want, also because this https://demo.tagdiv.com/newspaper_pro/ was made using tagDiv Cloud Templates and teste can be edited using tagDiv Composer, therefore you can edit the entire website from frontend.

Also you can filter the flex blocks after your categories -> https://i.imgur.com/AK3048j.jpg

Hi,

These are specific filters that can be apply on flex blocks when are set for example in single post templates -> https://i.imgur.com/GxbS84I.png the single filters are related to single post template and category is related to category template, only on these cloud templates these specific filters work.

Hope this will help you!

Hi Julan,

Please provide some more details about these problems, also some screenshots will help a lot, in this way I will be able to provide some workings answers.
What you can do is to make sure that you do not use other plugins that can interfere with the theme and make sure that when you edit the flex blocks have set on them the right settings in tagDiv Composer.

Thank you for your understanding!

Hello !

I can see that you have sorted it out. I meant to edit your homepage using tagDiv Composer and use Flex Blocks ( which are very customizable ) instead of normal blocks.

Thank you !

Hi!

I’m trying to figure out how exactly all the special filters in Category Filter of Flex Bocks work – in particular, I’m trying to understand how “Single – Related from Tags” and “Single – Related by Category” work – also in contrast to “Category – current category”.

Maybe you can either point me to the right place in the documentation (couldn’t find it) or give a short explanation.

Cheers

Hello !

You can achieve this if you will switch to flex blocks as you can see here: https://forum.tagdiv.com/flex-block-settings-guide/

Thank you !

Thanks, I did start using that method and it works pretty good.

I was looking for the flexibility of adding something like a Flex Box to a widget and then controlling the visibility. It looks like that’s not available.

Hi jatin_makhija,

1. Yes, this is possible, if you are using a standard post template, you can use single post style 5 or 12 also you can use this option -> https://i.imgur.com/orjnDWN.png
If you are using a pro demo, then you need to use tagDiv Composer and right click to remove the element you do not need -> https://i.imgur.com/wz6f0Zi.jpg you can use blocks like 9, 10 -> https://i.imgur.com/YRHridD.png or flex blocks and remove the image -> https://i.imgur.com/rDdKI4r.jpg

2. The only way to do this is to make a mega menu as in our guide from here -> https://forum.tagdiv.com/mega-menu/ also you can remove the featured image from mega menu, you can do it like this -> https://i.imgur.com/vksTEEC.jpg -> https://i.imgur.com/tnWrX8E.jpg

Hope this will help you!
Thank you!

Hi,

The element Single Post Next Prev do not have an layout as flex blocks or other elements, it will display only the without images and effects therefore, you can not set a flex block with a filter (this can not be set for next/prev only for these settings -> https://i.imgur.com/ZkaBm6F.png ) and under it to set the Single Post Next Prev element. Also to make that flex block to look the same, you can not use only copy and paste because these are not identical elements, you need to check the settings from one and make it manually in the other one -> https://i.imgur.com/LAi0mMa.jpg

Thank you for your understanding!

Thanks for the help Calin! I changed the ‘Posts loop’ into a ‘Flex Block’ and there are no problems anymore 🙂

I’m transitioning a site away from using the Standard Pack and instead using the Cloud Templates.

Under the older version, TagDiv widgets could be used on a post template to display more posts related to the post. For example, in the right-hand column of a post (that has X categorization) the widget would display 3 other articles from X category. Using this same template (and an additional widget), I could display 3 articles from category Y on a post that’s categorized as Y.

Under the Cloud Templates, the only way I can figure out how to do this is to create a Post Template for every category. That’s a lot more time consuming on the development end, and an extra step for the content producer.

Is there a way to use widgets on a template that can leverage the filtering ability as before?

Hello,
There is a way to make the main flexiblock3 post(the big block) out of the rotation of the latest posts?
I need to leave there some hand picked news, so the other 3 blocks get the new posts.

Thanks!

Here’s a smaple of what I get:
https://seashore.nl/nieuw/online-klantgegevens-en-de-wet/
The items in the Flex Block are smaller than in the “single more from author” also provided in this page, and the ‘previous’ and ‘next’ items (vorig artikel / volgend artikel) do not correspond with waht is displayed in the Flex Block.

Thanks,
Martin.

Update: I copied all styles, but what I get is simply the same as if I would import Flex Block 1 and select a category there. Not the nice lay out of the “single more from author” element, and not the previous and next item – just the most recent. How to solve this?

Regards,
Martin.

Hi,

Only the flex blocks and the slide have this option -> https://i.imgur.com/3iSUr7p.jpg you need to use one of these elements if you want to have the arrows for next / prev -> https://forum.tagdiv.com/flex-block-settings-guide/

Thank you!

I’ve changed row background to purple, column to green, and still there’s yellow that has to be within Flex block, but can’t find where. There no such color in available options.

Hi,

You can achieve this by editing this single post template with tagDiv Composer -> https://i.imgur.com/YwCJ7Dn.png add a flex block -> https://i.imgur.com/czJrMru.png copy and past on this block the style -> https://i.imgur.com/soMksG0.png -> https://i.imgur.com/Pl36ezp.png after that in filter tab and set the this option -> https://i.imgur.com/iFFkKmN.jpg

Hope this will help you!
Thank you!

Found it!
It was the limit post numbers at general section of flex box, i put there 100 thinking it’s the number for infinite load of posts xD

hello,
I really like the feature of infinite load, but there is one thing that bothers me and it’s the thing that it pre-loads flex box height when the page loads and the scroll bar on browser is showing there is a lot of content…

Is there a way to prevent flex box from loading full height of infinite load posts, and making it expand when scrolled down like it’s done on a single post when scrolled till the end of the post ?

Hi,

We’ve created a few custom taxonomies on our site and we want to be able to filter posts in Flex Block 5 using those custom taxonomy term IDs. We know we should use the ‘Multiple Taxonomies Filter’ field for this but it seems we can only use ONE term ID at a time. If we try to apply multiple term IDs, separated by commas, we aren’t getting the correct results. Instead we see the all the posts on the site instead of the filtered list.

Excluding items by commas doesn’t seem to work either. It only seems to work if we use a single item at a time.

Any assistance would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks,
