That plugin often does not work. Ftp is best method as you can do safe backup of site same time.
I have done a complete reinstall of the theme, via FTP, and the issue remains. Any other suggestions?
Thank you.
Hello Digitala medier,
Most likely, you should activate again the theme after you have updated it via FTP way. You should check the manual activation from here -> https://www.screencast.com/t/JAfpdoi7B

Hello Freshvine,
I suggest you make a new clean install from scratch via FTP way because this is the surest theme method. Check your system status to be increased according to our documentation and if you are using some untested plugins, try to disable all of these because could appear some conflicts which damage your website.
Hope this helps and let us know how it goes!

I am about to update Newspaper Theme to 8.5 from 8.1 by ftp.
Will I need to enter the registration key when installting the new version? If so how can I get it?
I can not see the full key in the admin interface (since it displays as AbC12******SOmething) and I did not save it elsewehere.
Hi,
Still the missing class is not present on the grid, only on that category page. It would be hard and maybe not a good solution to give you a CSS code fix for the issue. I suggest to try and reinstall the theme, that should fix this weird issue

Please try this suggestion and check the results. Let us know if there still is a problem.
Thanks

Hello itduck2020,
Please make sure that your theme’s update has been correctly made via FTP way because this is the surest theme method in this case. Also, if you are using some untested plugins, try to disable all of these and leave just to active only the plugins that come bundled with the theme core files and rule out any conflicting plugins. If the problem is still there, you should make a new clean install from scratch via FTP way to another sub-domain and check the results.
Hope this helps!
Thanks.
Hello dr_vibe,
First of all, please make sure that you are using the latest theme version installed via FTP way and also, the WordPress version should have to be 4.9.1 because in that version should have to be resolved all the old problems regarding on sidebar’s problems. Another problem, in this case, would be regarding on this topic here -> https://forum.tagdiv.com/topic/the-content-of-the-newly-created-widjet-disappears/ Otherwise, if your backup was not done correctly you should recreate your all widgets.
Thanks for your understanding!
Hi,
In that case you could enter the code directly in the theme stylesheet, at the end of the existing code
– https://www.screencast.com/t/xdIlo6vyK4H
Either modify the file by FTP, or you could even edit the stylesheet with the default WordPress editor
– https://www.screencast.com/t/JIi1YDRPS
Or create a child theme for theme customization, and see how it goes

Thanks

Hello sjcole,
Please provide screenshots with the problem because I cannot recreate it. Also, I saw that you are not using the latest version of the theme. Our recommendation is to update the theme to the latest version of it via FTP way because this is the surest theme method.

Hello Laszlo,
I Have inspected your setup page and I saw that you are using some untested plugins which can interact with the theme core files and causes a lot of unknown issues. Try to disable all of these, leave just to active only the plugins that come bundled with the theme core files and rule out any conflicting plugins. I have tested this functionality on my end and it seems to work as expected. If the problem is still there, try to make a new clean install to another sub-domain and install the theme via FTP way and check the results.

Problem since updating to 8.5 version.
I cannot access the widgets page now – shows up blank each time I try to load it. Tried to uninstall and reinstall the theme and saw that I couldn’t even install the theme without FTP. All memory limit and PHP sizes are around 1000 M.
What is the problem? It’s difficult without the widgets page.
Hello juanca1612,
For more information about this error, please check here -> http://www.checkupdown.com/status/E414.html Checking your website, I saw that you are using some untested plugins which can interact with the theme core files and causes a lot of unknown issues. Try to disable all of them, leave just to active only the plugins that come bundled with the theme core files and check the results. I saw that you are using a minified theme’s version which can cause some errors. Also, if the problem is still there, try to make a new clean install from scratch via FTP way to another sub-domain and check the results.

I solved the issue by reinstalling WordPress 4.9.1.
If anyone of you encounter this problem, try to reinstall the CMS by FTP (if you need help, follow the official guide chapter “Step 1: Replace WordPress files”: https://codex.wordpress.org/Updating_WordPress).
Hello Numaphon,
Please do not mislead the world with this affirmations because this is not a true one, sorry! Why is the latest version very bad in your opinion? Provide more details for it to sustain your point of view. The latest version of the theme is fully tested with the all of the required plugins and should work as expected. Try to make a new clean install via FTP way and make sure that you have updated the multi-purpose plugin.

Hi,
The pages and posts you have created, along with theme panel settings and custom code, will not be lost after a theme update. As always it is highly recommended to make backups before any update. Please see this theme update guide
– https://forum.tagdiv.com/how-to-update-the-theme-2/
The most recommended method to update would be by FTP.
Thanks
