Try to connect via ftp and remove that code from td_wp_booster_functions.php file.
I have also added this on our list and we will try to remove it in the next update.

I went to install this plugin because I did not have it installed and after v2.3 update to get the weather to show on top bar, it need the api plugin installed as I think that is what is needed but as soon as I installed the plugin and right after clicking the activate link it gives a 500 server error and I had to go to FTP and remove the plugin manually. How do I install the plugin now? I have enabled weather. Do I need to disable it and then install the plugin? What gives. It never done this before the update to latest version 2.3 of the theme.
Update: Just tried disabling the weather on top bar and still got 500 server error after activating the plugin and still had to manually delete plugin in FTP. Guess I won’t be using that Weather on top bar.

Please access your files via FTP and check to see if the image is actually there in wp-content/uploads/2015/09/ED-Logo-Header-White.png” because the same error is displayed. If it is, please try this without any plugins so we can exclude a plugin conflict.

The best way to do it is as IngGeek suggests. Delete the old theme then download the new version from Envato and install it via FTP – https://forum.tagdiv.com/install-via-ftp/. You will have to redo all your settings and customization so you will have to spare a bit of time to it as newspaper 6 was built from scratch and updating to it will be just like switching to a different theme.Make sure you do a back-up beforehand.

Please make sure you also delete the folder containing that name: html/wp-content/plugins/js_composer/. There is probably an empty folder with that name and is creating a conflict . Please access your files via FTP and delete the js composer folder under wp-content/plugins/

In this situation the best thing you can do is do a clean install of the theme. Please delete your theme and do a fresh install via ftp: https://forum.tagdiv.com/install-via-ftp/. Make sure you back-up first: https://codex.wordpress.org/WordPress_Backups

I’m not sure why this occurs, but you can try these following methods:
– Switch to a different theme and then reactivate newspaper,
– Clear your cache and disable all plugins (check the panel with no plugin active),
If everything else fails, try to reinstall the theme. Make a back-up of your database and also back-up your modifications if you have any and perform a clean install via FTP: https://forum.tagdiv.com/install-via-ftp/
In rare cases files can get corrupted upon install.

I have removed the rev slide completely in my plugins and i have checked on my FTP and it’s not there but keeps popping in when you scroll down inside a news post. why?
Looks like you didn’t install theme properly.
Best to extract the single zip file for the theme on your PC/Mac, then upload via FTP to your wp-content/themes/ folder — don’t upload the newspaper-tf folder, only the newspaper theme folder alone. You also need to install the visual composer plugin from the /plugins/ folder with the theme (easiest to do from the larger ‘all files’ newspaper-tf folder, then unzip the js-composer folder then upload via ftp to /wp-content/plugins/ in your WordPress install.
Don’t use the Envato toolkit is as it doesn’t work well with all hosting setups, and can set wrong folder location, wrong permissions, and doesn’t install the plugins for you.

– I can upload images to the MEDIA folder.

Via FTP, rename your plugins folder to xplugins
login; then rename plugins folder back; then activate visual composer.
(option B)
if that does not work;
via FTP, rename your plugins folder to xplugins
login, change to default theme; then rename plugin folder back to normal, then activate visual composer, then reactivate theme

Another thing you can try is the old fix-it-all technique: Do a clean install. In rare cases every piece of software can break on install. Remove your current theme and follow this guide to install the theme via ftp as it is a safer method to do it: https://forum.tagdiv.com/install-via-ftp/

Please make sure you have installed the theme properly, if you can re-install it via FTP(make sure you use the latest version 6.5.1) – https://forum.tagdiv.com/install-via-ftp/ maybe it was an error when you install it. I did not managed to replicate this on my side.

I’m still not sure why you have this issue, as for example the default theme fonts are already added in the speed booster file – http://screencast.com/t/rCGzAdVNFPIl and they should be moved to the footer when the plugin is activated. I also checked this on my side and did not found any issues moving the theme resources to the footer – http://screencast.com/t/rdIpmORctb8
Please check this without any plugins active except of these plugins tested with speed booster(if you use them) – http://screencast.com/t/sBuHQflNdKW at least the fonts should be moved to the footer, this if you didn’t modified something else in the plugin’s file. Also you could try to make a backup and the delete it via ftp then install it again, then check this step by step. We would have gladly made it for you, but the time doesn’t allow us to offer custom services, sorry!

@paulberrow We have made some test using the Vc 4.7.4 and old version of the theme and it creates some issues on tagdiv blocks, we will try to find solutions, unfortunately I cannot provide an exact date.

I’ve a problem with the correct sidebar selection while I’m on the search results page. Everywhere in my site I’ve set the same default sidebar as you can see from the homepage http://43b.60a.myftpupload.com but, if I do a search (i.e. http://43b.60a.myftpupload.com/?s=campoli) the sidebar changes: why? I need to keep everywhere the same home sidebar: how I can get it?

Now, concerning the point 3, if you go to the link http://43b.60a.myftpupload.com/category/cronaca/, and see right below the black main menu, on the right, you can see a white select combo with a down arrow set to “Ultimi” i.e. “Latest” in english.
The other options of that combo are: “Ultimi”, “In evidenza”, “Più popolari”,… In english those items mean “Latest”, “In evidence”, “Most popular”,…
The option “Metti questo articolo in evidenza” (I don’t know how better translate in english, maybe as “Flag this post as an highlighted post”) checkbox is available to selection in the post fast modification section only. Therefore I expect to see the post flagged as “highlighted posts” to be listed when I click on “In Evidenza” item of the above mentioned combo, but no way to get any highlighed post as you can see. What’s wrong?

I have a problem on my Newsmag based site (http://43b.60a.myftpupload.com). As you can see, at mouseover on “SANNIO” category in the top megamenu, some categories are shown: “FORTORE”, “MEDIO CALORE”, “TAMMARO”, “TITERNO”, “VALLE CAUDINA” but the categories “VALLE TELESINA” and “VALLE VITULANESE” remain hidden. You can display the hidden categories only by clicking on SANNIO category (i.e. their parent category) or going directly to the link http://43b.60a.myftpupload.com/category/sannio/ and then clicking on down-arrow combo.
Why those categories (“VALLE TELESINA” and “VALLE VITULANESE”) are not displayed at the megamenu pop-up box as the others do? Is there an upper limit on the number of category to display in the megamenu popup?
